Or either President Bush ???
No, not really. Wasn't thinking of them in that context.

But really, such bias, such hate.
Impossible to believe that anyone holding such views could maintain an impartial, professional approach in any therapy situation.
Well, believe it, because what you call bias and hate is a sense of humor. And after watching your vitriol all day, I've come to the proper diagnosis for you: Terminal lack thereof.

you have now entered the twilight zone.. :)
yep(earth/world/churches/forums)
True some ppl are more prone to be liars but your wrong about them not being able to stop being liars, do you not believe God can do anything?
people are born liars. not just prone to be. all men are liars, like another poster posted, until CHRIST JESUS changes their life to a new life, until YAHWEH grants them life from above - "born again"..
yes, INDEED and in TRUTH, GOD has a PLAN and can transform them who turn to HIM IN TRUTH>

I think ignore is the best place for you right now.
it's posts that i've seen are from lessons of a "by our note-book / by our rules/ by our catechism?" group / chruch with A LOT OF ERRORS that
the poster has not realized, ever.

The scripture is talking about sin in general not one particular sin
The thread is talking about the sin of lying; which includes things like
dishonesty, deception, guile, dissembling, half truths, forgery, plagiarism,
falsifying information, putting up a front, double speak, insincerity, slander,
perjury, concealing pertinent facts, feigning innocence, fraud, sophistry,
cover-ups, impersonation, fibbing, tall tales, and spinning, etc.

The thread may be talking about that but the scripture isnt and you cannot use scripture out of context to fit your conversation. that's lke trying to make a puzzle piece fit into somewhere it doesnt quite go into

†. 2Pet 1:4 . .He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises,
in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature.

The divine nature has some limitations.

1• It cannot lie. (Titus 1:2)

2• It cannot be tempted. (Jas 1:13)

3• It cannot sin. (1John 3:9)

4• It cannot die. (John 3:15-16, John 10:28)

Q: When do Christ's followers obtain this so-called divine nature?

A: Note the grammatical tense of the "have" verb in the statements below.
It's present tense rather than future; indicating the Christ's believing
followers have the divine nature right now-- no delay and no waiting period.

†. John 3:36 . .He who believes in the Son has eternal life

†. John 6:47 . .Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.

†. John 5:24 . . I assure you, those who heed my message and trust in God
who sent me, have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins,
but they have already passed from death into life.

According to God's testimony as an expert witness in all thngs pertaining to
His son, Christians who lack the divine nature, also lack His son; viz: they
are quite christless.

†. 1John 5:11-12 . .And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life,
and this life is in His son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not
have the life, does not have God's son.

I goes without saying that christless Christians are not the Lord's sheep.

†. Rom 8:9 . . If anyone does not have the spirit of Christ, he does not
belong to Christ.

So; what does all this say to me? Well; it says to me that Christians lacking
the divine nature are neither heeding Christ's message nor trusting in God
who sent him, plus, they abide in death; viz: they are not believers; they're
make-believers; and according to Matt 7:22-23 there's more than a few:
there's many.

Let me ask you something. You are quite serious about not lying right? well see what you say a divine nature that a Christian has is not based on not lying. I know atheists who hate lying absolutely despise it and they refuse to lie even if it hurts ppls feelings even if they get in huge trouble but they dont have this divine nature you speak of. See I have sought after God's divine nature for quite some time now, I beg and ask and pray for it every day but I do not have it yet not fully. The mark of a true Christian of a person with this nature is love. I dont mean normal love I mean the kind of love that only God has and only God can give.

This love changes you completely, it changes how you see how you think how you believe it changes your heart you prayers you desires you way of reading and understanding the bible it literally changes everything about you into God's heart and nature and eyes. I dont focus on stuff like this thread, I dont want to think about what will make ppl I think about what I can do to make sure they dont go to hell. I dont give a crap about other ppls flaws mistakes sins or imperfections I only care about my own so I may do something about it. I simply just seek to be love and to know love and to one day hopefully soon be in loves arms

The divine nature is the cat's meow because God is 110% sinless through
and through.

Prior to meeting the Conservative Baptist minister who would eventually lead
me to break away from the Roman Catholic Church; it occurred to me that it
would sure be a whole lot easier to please God if I was like Him instead
of like me. Well; imagine the amazement that washed over upon discovering
that my thoughts were on the right track.
You know, at a glance this reads as an amazing life-giving testimony. But mingled in with his other arrogant posts on this thread, his thoughts appear to secrete from an aloof persona and agitated mind. He doesn't show much love or concern about lost souls as much as he seems to be almost snickering about people going to hell.

He's not unique. We see this type of pharisaic commentary regularly in this forum. What puzzles me is why they persist in badgering Christians seeking Jesus. Why do they have such condemning attitudes? When will they realize that the only people Jesus Christ dealt with sharply were the Pharisees and religious legalists who kept hindering folks who were genuinely seeking the Lord? And the way they word their posts like they have some private interpretation that they secretly understand and that nobody else gets. It's like they think they cornered the market on some prophetic revelation that they dangle on this forum like a mysterious carrot of holy wisdom.

It's just sickening the religious dogma they try to pass off as righteousness. Here's the clincher: IF WHAT THEY TRULY POSSESSED WAS THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST, WOULDN'T THEY EXHIBIT THE JOY AND PEACE AND LOVE OF THE LORD?? Wouldn't they be approachable and have a sweet spirit like Jesus? Wouldn't they share the Word of God gladly and freely, rather than be mean-spirited and distant and prideful?

Well, WH told me to step aside and shut my mouth so he most likely has me on ignore. Nevertheless, I pray in Jesus' name the Lord release him from whatever it is that vexes his spirit and makes him so mean and Scrooge-like.

because Christians are an easy mark...we are supposed to love so if we respond to this silly op in any fashion that shows we actually think too, then, we are unloving

if something appears good, yet disturbs and naggles, then don't bite

when you bite, it tries to reel you in

if it succeeds, it may damage you

by 'you' I mean anyone in general

it's not going to stop.....

Abraham and Isaac were liars. And so were the midwives in the book of
Exodus, and so was Rahab the harlot in the book of Joshua.

Normally every one of those liars would be doomed to die in the lake of
flaming sulfur as per Rev 21:7-8; and barred entry to the holy city as per
Rev 21:27. But God has invented a safety net for such people.

I called it amputation in post #34 but the Bible calls it circumcision.

†. Col 2:11 . . In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the
sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the
circumcision done by Christ

What that tells me is: when I leave here through the door of death, my
human nature won't be coming with me. I'll be leaving with only the divine
nature about which Peter spoke at 2Pet 1:4. Thus when I arrive on the other
side, I won't be dishonest anymore, nor ever again, because the divine
nature has some limitations.

1• It cannot lie. (Titus 1:2)

2• It cannot be tempted. (Jas 1:13)

3• It cannot sin. (1John 3:9)

Q: Once a liar, always a liar?

A: Born a liar, always a liar.

†. Ps 58:3 . . The wicked are estranged from the womb; these who speak
lies go astray from birth.

Q: Do you see no possibility of a person changing, with the help of the Holy
Spirit?

A: You might be able to train a dog to stop barking; but I doubt you can
train it to stop being a dog.

†. Jer 13:23 . . Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots?

Q: What about "the new birth", "walking according to the Spirit", "by the
Spirit putting to death the deeds of the body" and "sanctification"

A:
That solution is a carrot on a stick that the donkey can never reach.
There are no 100% sinless born again Christians in this life: neither now, nor
has there ever been.

†. 1John 1:8-10 . . If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and
the truth is not in us. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a
liar, and His word is not in us.

Well this isn't an official way to find out if a person is lying.
Nor any tests, or studies have been done to confirm if it is indeed a valid way to spot a liar.

Since it is written that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth from the mouth of the LORD doth man live, then the inspired scriptures mean nothing more than a man's opinion. And proof is the fact that there are none that claim to have seen the face of God. Those of God hears God's words.

†. 1John 1:8-10 . . If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and
the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive
us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we
have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

The pronouns "we" and "us" and "our" implicate the author; viz: if John had
claimed that he had no sin, he would have been delusional, and there would
have been no truth in him. And had John claimed that he had no sins to
confess; he would have insinuated that God is a person of marginal integrity
who can't be trusted to tell the truth; and John would have evidenced that
God's word was ineffective in him.

Heaven is sometimes depicted as the peak of a high mountain. All around
the base of the mountain are roads leading to the peak. But according to
Christ; only one road makes it up there; and all the other ones are dead
ends, drop offs, loops, and cul-de-sacs.

†. John 14:6 . . I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to
the Father, but through me.

If traditional Christianity is the truth, then an awful lot of people are facing a
very unpleasant future. For example, according to my sources, there are
approximately:

50 thousand Scientologists
15 million Mormons
8.2 million Jehovah's Witnesses
7.31 million Baha'i
483.8 million Buddhists
454.6 million Chinese Folk Religionists
6.4 million Confucianists
258.5 million Ethnic Religionists
935.5 million Hindus
5.7 million Jains
1.5 billion Muslims
1.8 million Orthodox Jews
64.2 million New Religionists
2.8 million Shintoists
24.2 million Sikhs
13.8 million Spiritists
8.8 million Taoists
640 million Non Religious
138.8 million Atheists

The grand total of just those nineteen categories alone is 4,569,460,000

If those figures are in the ball park, and if traditional Christianity is the
truth; then at the least 63% of the earth's current population is on a road to
hell; and no doubt some of those are people we know: our friends, our
relatives, and our associates.

Those 4.6 billion people all have something in common. Know what it is?
They're all liars; every one of them. Think about it. If traditional Christianity
is the truth, then the others are untrue; viz: they're lies; and you probably
know that means without me having to say it.

†. Rev 21:7-8 . . All liars; their part will be in the lake that burns with fire
and brimstone, which is the second death.

NOTE: It's my personal opinion that Roman Catholicism is a twisted version
of Christianity. Of course it isn't twisted just because I feel that way; but
supposing it really is?

That would add, roughly, another 1.143 billion people to the numbers, for an
adjusted total of 5,712,460,000 people currently on a road to hell; which is
a whopping 78.9% of the world's currently estimated population. That's an
insane percentage, but not totally unexpected.

†. Luke 13:22-24 . . And he went through the cities and villages, teaching,
and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then said one unto him, master, are there
few that be saved? And he said unto them: Strive to enter in at the strait
gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

†. Matt 7:13-14 . . Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and
broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But
small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find
it.

†. Matt 22:14 . . For many are called, but few are chosen.
