Liars: It's In Their Blood

Heaven is sometimes depicted as the peak of a high mountain. All around
the base of the mountain are roads leading to the peak. But according to
Christ; only one road makes it up there; and all the other ones are dead
ends, drop offs, loops, and cul-de-sacs.

†. John 14:6 . . I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to
the Father, but through me.

If traditional Christianity is the truth, then an awful lot of people are facing a
very unpleasant future. For example, according to my sources, there are
approximately:

50 thousand Scientologists
15 million Mormons
8.2 million Jehovah's Witnesses
7.31 million Baha'i
483.8 million Buddhists
454.6 million Chinese Folk Religionists
6.4 million Confucianists
258.5 million Ethnic Religionists
935.5 million Hindus
5.7 million Jains
1.5 billion Muslims
1.8 million Orthodox Jews
64.2 million New Religionists
2.8 million Shintoists
24.2 million Sikhs
13.8 million Spiritists
8.8 million Taoists
640 million Non Religious
138.8 million Atheists

The grand total of just those nineteen categories alone is 4,569,460,000

If those figures are in the ball park, and if traditional Christianity is the
truth; then at the least 63% of the earth's current population is on a road to
hell; and no doubt some of those are people we know: our friends, our
relatives, and our associates.

Those 4.6 billion people all have something in common. Know what it is?
They're all liars; every one of them. Think about it. If traditional Christianity
is the truth, then the others are untrue; viz: they're lies; and you probably
know that means without me having to say it.

†. Rev 21:7-8 . . All liars; their part will be in the lake that burns with fire
and brimstone, which is the second death.

NOTE: It's my personal opinion that Roman Catholicism is a twisted version
of Christianity. Of course it isn't twisted just because I feel that way; but
supposing it really is?

That would add, roughly, another 1.143 billion people to the numbers, for an
adjusted total of 5,712,460,000 people currently on a road to hell; which is
a whopping 78.9% of the world's currently estimated population. That's an
insane percentage, but not totally unexpected.

†. Luke 13:22-24 . . And he went through the cities and villages, teaching,
and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then said one unto him, master, are there
few that be saved? And he said unto them: Strive to enter in at the strait
gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

†. Matt 7:13-14 . . Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and
broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But
small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find
it.

†. Matt 22:14 . . For many are called, but few are chosen.

NARROW is the Way.. and indeed it is...

Man creates a God out of his/her own carnal inclinations, tells Him, you would never do something like that.. or YOU CANT DO THAT, you hear the subtle voice of rebellion in there 'demands'. just like at the Original Insurrection when the ' anointed cherub' entered the Throne Room, shook his fist at His Creator and told Him that he was going to be higher and greater than Him... lolz. the characteristics of rebellion.. so subtle, yet very visible to those who Walk in the Spirit and are His!

One thing I have to mention, you hear of Traditional Christianity, 'reformed theology', the progressive 'chruch' etc.. all these things that makes God out like He missed the 'mark'. or that He has changed somehow.. what do the Scriptures tell us? mmmm He has not! but man tries to Change Him.. mmm wont work..

For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

While I was home sick from work one day several years ago, I watched a
morning show hosted by Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford. Somehow the
Bible passage below came up in conversation.

"Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be
lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life." (John
3:14-15)

Neither Regis nor Kathie had a clue what Christ's statement is saying; and
both are Christians-- Regis a Catholic and Kathie a Protestant.

I was thunderstruck that two very popular, widely-known Christian
celebrities blew a golden opportunity to explain the gospel to a nationwide
audience due, not to opposition by the devil, nor to opposition by non
Christians; but simply due to their own ignorance of Christ's teachings.

The incident to which he referred is located at Num 21:5-9. Long story
short: Yhvh's people became weary of eating manna all the time at every
meal. But instead of courteously, and diplomatically, petitioning their divine
benefactor for a different diet, they became hostile and confrontational;
angrily demanding tastier food.

In response to their insolence, and their ingratitude for His providence; Yhvh
sent a swarm of deadly poisonous vipers among them; which began striking
people; and every strike was 100% fatal, no exceptions. Then the people
came to their senses and asked Moses to intercede. In reply; Yhvh
instructed Moses to fashion an image of the vipers and hoist it up on a pole
in plain view so that everyone dying from venom could look to the image for
relief.

The key issue here is that the image was the only God-given remedy for the
people's bites-- not sacrifices and offerings, not tithing, not church
attendance, not scapulars, not confession, not holy days of obligation, not
the Sabbath, not the golden rule, not charity, not Bible study and/or Sunday
school, not self denial, not vows of poverty, not the Ten Commandments,
not one's religion of choice, no; not even prayers. The image was it. In other
words then: Christ's crucifixion is the only God-given, fail-safe escape from
the wrath of God; and when people accept it and depend upon it; then
according to John 3:14-16, they qualify for eternal life.

So; how does any of this relate to the divine nature about which Peter spoke
at 2Pet 1:4?

Well; the eternal life that Christ spoke of in John 3:14-16 is simply another
way of saying divine life. I mean: who but God is eternal, and who but God
is divine? So: eternal life is associated with divine nature just as human life
is associated with human nature. They're joined at the hip.

Eternal life is often confused with immortality; but they are not the same.
Immortality has to do with a body that's impervious to death and
putrefaction. Eternal life has to do with the nature of God. (1John 1:1-2)

One of Webster's definitions of nature is: the inherent character or basic
constitution of a person or thing.

The basic constitution of human life is human nature. The basic constitution
of eternal life is divine nature. If somebody can understand what human
nature is; then they can understand what divine nature is. The one is
inherent within humans, the other inherent within God.

Bottom line: eternal life is the solution to a natural-born liar's dilemma. With
eternal life he will not only never lie again (Titus 1:2) nor ever be tempted to
lie again (Jas 1:13) but will never sin again either (1John 3:9); thus his
entry into the holy city is assured, and his name guaranteed to be registered
in the Lamb's book of life.

"No one who practices lying, shall ever come into [the holy city, the new
Jerusalem] but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of
life." (Rev 21:27)
