Now I am training my spine.

Lol. I was going to suggest that maybe you just need to strengthen your back. If you work on your feet all day or even if you sit all day it is bad for one's back, but strengthening it and stretching it should help immensely.

Also, ab strength actually plays a big role in back strain, so it helps to keep one's abs/core from getting too weak.

This entire thread means nothing spiritually at all. No plans, no praise, no holy spirit filled conversation, NO NOTHING. What a waste of time and effort. I'd rather watch paint dry on a barn door. Sorry to burst your bubble, but time is too precious to waste on this.
And since you insist on coming here and lecturing all of us singles on how to live and spend our time... Why aren't YOU taking all this precious time... to spend with your wife, whom you said you met at age 17? Why spend your time here when you could be spending it with her? Do you talk to her the same way you talk to us???

Why waste all your time preaching to us about how to life a life you've never lived?

You don't know anything about the people here, either. Many of the regulars in this thread have had deep losses of children, spouses, parents... and they come here to be able to share their burdens with others, even if it's just through having someone to talk to.

I guess you wouldn't know because you've always had your wife, right? But you are not us and we are not you. There are plenty of married people who come here and are respectful and encouraging of our situation, and we greatly admire them in return.

But an audience is something you earn, not demand, as you are trying to do.

I feel like I have nothing interesting to share. Well this might be interesting. I take anti anxiety medicine, It's helpful. However sometimes I feel somewhat emotionless. I have empathy for others and I do feel happy a lot, and I'm also happy for others when good things happen. It's just really hard for me to cry, it's not that I don't care, it's just that I feel dried up, like I have no tears. About a month ago I cried about something, I don't remember what it was that made me cry but it felt good, like I really needed to cry.

Often times people tell me that I'm really laid back, it's true I am, not that I never get agitated, I got agitated at church yesterday. One of the other members was shooting his mouth off again, once he starts he doesn't stop. Those kind of people really grade on my nerves. He and another member told the elderly lady that helps me with Sunday school that she had to go downtown to get clearances to work with the maybe 4 kids, two of which are mine. They had her so confused and upset, I had to calm her down. I almost went to confront them I was so frustrated but I let it go because I would have said things I'd regret. Ok so I guess I do feel emotion even if it's anger, lol.
Fenner, I find your posts interesting and they usually make me smile too.. not an easy thing to do when you're a sad ninja! :)

Fenner has awesome posts and threads and she is definitely on my list of people to try to keep up with here. I love that she tells us how married life REALLY is. I know I feel a little less lonely when I read the things she has to say about everyday life.

Same with MissCris... and our other awesome married friends here.

Why are you using all that precious time just to constantly criticize and cut people down across the threads?

Doesn't seem like a very proper--or Godly--use of your time either.

If you don't like what you see here, why not stay in the forums you feel comfortable in?

Or at least, the ones in which you might have something positive to say. That's why the rest of us come here. Because some of us have no one to talk to except God and each other. And supporting others in the Body of Christ is never a waste of time.

We'd be happy if you went back to watching paint dry. Please, go back to your "I'm So Much More Self-Righteous Than You" Barn and do so.
I don't understand why some need to do what you said above. I guess if we feel we know everything there is a obligation to share all of it. I just made this quote up.

It's better to know nothing, than to think you know everything.
For it's the simple minded people that make the world a bearable place.

Ok that doesn't make sense but oh well. :)

I hate cats. I detest them. I detest them so much that I hate them. I hate cats because they refused to join me in my quest to conquer the world. And now they are planning to assassinate me in my sleep...

Well, move along folks. There is nothing catty about this post.

Liste... what? Sounds like a mouthwash. Pity. It's my favorite brand. And it just wouldn't taste the same if I had to sterilize it.

Today's obsession: finding the driveway.

That sounds like I don't know where my own driveway is, like maybe it got tired (no pun intended) of its boring existence and decided to get up and leave. I assure you, that's not the case. What I mean is...why can't I tell a simple story without it becoming a longer story? What the heck? Anyway-

When my husband's great grandfather built this house, he put in a flagstone driveway (which might not be the correct term, I don't know, he laid down a bunch of big, flat rocks in a driveway-shaped formation and parked on them). This was ages ago, possibly in the early 60's, although I would have to double check that with someone who like...actually knows. It was a long time ago. Since then, the rocks have gotten almost entirely covered by the dust and dirt that drift around and then grass started growing in that dirt and by the time we moved in, the only bit of the rocks that were visible was the very middle of the driveway (yes, I know my grammar is appalling). So last fall, I started poking around out there to see just how long the original driveway was, and I unearthed a few rocks, but the size of the project deterred me from really doing any more at the time.

I didn't wake up today thinking, "Gosh, I'd sure like to do a bunch of digging", but when I took my son out to play this afternoon, I started itching to do something to improve the yard. And right in front of me was this partially uncovered driveway, so I grabbed a shovel and got to work.

The dang thing is bigger than I thought, both longer and wider. Parts of it only had a thin layer of dust, while other parts were (and are) buried anywhere from half an inch to three or four inches deep. I couldn't get it all done today, but not for lack of trying...I was out there digging and scraping away dirt and grass every chance I had. It was like I couldn't NOT do it, after seeing those first few rocks uncovered. Now I have blistered hands and a sore back that will feel worse in the morning, and I'll still go out and work on it bright and early because it's like I found this hidden treasure. It's completely worthless, really....just a bunch of old rocks, who cares?

But then...I dunno. I can imagine how long it took my husband's great grandfather to find all the rocks, to move them all, to select which ones to use and figure out exactly how to arrange them...I can imagine how he felt when it was finished. I just think all that careful, hard work shouldn't be forgotten.

I feel like I care about weird stuff.

I hate tacos. Every time I have them I have horrid acid reflux issues. Dinner was at 6 or 7 pm. It's now 1 am and I'm STILL HAVING ISSUES. I swear my esophagus will burn through itself by the end of the night. And no, I don't have any antacids in my house or this issue would have been resolved a long time ago.

1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water- stir it up, drink it quick.

That's how I got rid of heartburn when I was pregnant and everything else made me gag :)

Man, do I feel old.

There is a lovely CC member who is a bit younger than me who posted in another forum that they have never heard of the band Pearl Jam... I was in college the year Pearl Jam came out with one of its most famous albums (back when CD's were popular instead of downloads) and my college suite mate was so obsessed with them that she went to go stand in line at Target starting at something like 10 PM in order to be one of the first people to buy their album at the midnight release.

I watched the newest trailer for the upcoming version of "Jurassic Park" today and... holy cow. This looks like one movie that actually has a chance at beating out the original. At the time, I remember how awe-inspiring the original was, but the special effects in this current movie look amazing.

I was just astonished at how man people seem to get snatched up and eaten--I was beginning to lose count--and that's just in the previews!!!

Too bad I can't line up a few "snacks" for them myself... (I'm kidding... sort of...)

Back in the 90's I took my car to the dealer for fixin and the next day I noticed that my Pearl Jam cassette was missing! :( They could've stolen my Metallica or my Nirvana(!) or even my Van Halen or U2 cassettes but they took my Pearl Jam! It was the one with all the good songs on it of course. I still have the other one that wasn't as big of a hit. :p

Missing..

Hey quick prayer request for you all:

A young lady (20's I think) who is not a believer but has been listening to our Bible stories and giving us feedback on them left the city and returned home today (after meeting with us one last time to help with a couple more stories). Her mother is terminally ill. Can you guys pray for her and her family, both the usual healing, strength, and peace type prayers and also that all the stories she's been hearing about God's power would be shared and discussed with her family and that they might come to know the Lord. Thanks.

It also means we need to find another not yet believer to help out by giving us feedback on stories we're working on, so you can pray for that too if you want.
