You seem to have taken great offence at my post, as if I personally accused YOU of being scared.
Your post amuses me. You have taken it upon yourself to defend Christians the world over, when I said nothing of what you are supposing. I basically was saying people confuse astrology with astronomy and horoscopes get mixed up in it. The personality traits are based on where stars (astronomy) are when people are born. So although they are different, there are elements of astronomy in astrology. Comprehend?

You boast:
'I, as a Christian of 25 years (take note I've been a Christian almost as long as you've been alive)'

You sound like a self-important, egotistical bigot who thinks he knows more than the next person because he's "been a Christian almost as long as you've been alive)". Ride off on the same horse you came in on.
And judging by your continued misunderstanding of astronomy vs astrology you sound ignorant. It's quite clear you have no Real clue what the words mean, yet you will defend your ignorance and make childish personal attacks at people you know nothing about because they dare expose your ignorance and call you out. I even gave you the opportunity to prove me wrong, and your comeback is to make personal attacks and continue spewing your ignorance while providing absolutely zero evidence for your claims. So if i'm to be bothered by the opinions of someone who has nothing to substantiate their claims and clearly doesn't know the meanings of the words they use, then surely i care nothing for your opinion of me based off of one post. I'll ride off on my horse if you go read a book and correct your lack of knowledge.

And boast? Really? Again your ignorance shines brightly as my 'boast' as you put it was in reference to showing you that in nearly the entire time of your existence here on earth i have never once encountered someone who had the beliefs you so casually labeled others as having. But putting things in context would take away from your feeble personal attacks.

Lastly i'll finish with pointing out (yet again) a flaw of yours. You spent more time throwing out insults and more wrong information, but you never once acknowledged any of my arguments. Perhaps because if you had dealt with what i said on the actual topic, rather than showing your ignorance, taking things out of context in an attempt to discredit me, you would have had nothing to say and have to own up to the fact that you are a clueless dullard of which i am done casting pearls before.

The moon's gravitational pull on the earths bodies of water don't have anything to do with Astrology or with what day a person was born on. It is a scientific reality that is proven. What are rainbows a sign for? That God will never destroy the earth by flood again? Maybe..........but Scripture says "bow" and while I can see how folks can go from "bow" to rainbow, many, many times it rains and no rainbow appears......is that also a sign? What do stars do?

You say folks mix up Astronomy and Astrology, it seems to me you are doing the same..............could be wrong, but it sure seems so................just saying
I guess I should be clearer on my viewpoint, if there is some confusion on your end.
As I said in my first post, I am of the opinion that the heavens declare, reflect, show signs of things/ events that are happening on earth. You were confused about what I was meaning when I said, "up there" and asked for specific things. I gave scripture and told of things which are shown in 'nature' which seem normal to humans.
To understand what I am saying, you need to understand that astrology studies stars (up there) and where they are aligned when people are born, and to predict things of the future.
Again, in previous posts people confuse the two, and actually discount anything to do with the stars and things that are shown in the heavens because they are afraid it is something to do with astrology.
You can independently study who the wise men were but I will tell you they were star gazers. Amazing that God should use them as He did.. But again, so many so-called Christians get their back up about the whole idea because they really have no discernment of balance, no real revelation of the difference of the two, so afraid of being a part of something wrong. The responses to my post point to this clearly.
Ask why God used these wise men? Does it mean God is saying to be like them, to follow the stars like that and to look for signs? The simple answer is no. That's just it: no. But the arrogance of people who assume they know everything...!

I gave scripture, which seems to be overlooked, how God said lights in the heavens will be for a sign, and for seasons etc.
Nowhere am I saying to follow them, to base your beliefs on them or to use them to predict the future. They are there, along with the many other things which coincide with things happening on earth.
You can choose to follow them - as some do- or you can follow the Bible; obviously the Bible has the full truth as being the Word of God, and has everything prophesied for future events. -- do not twist my words or meaning.

Stars are lights which show the way - basically. That is why messengers are likened to stars.
Now, who is confusing astrology with astronomy? If you do not know what they are, you would be guilty of 'reading' more into it. Just saying.

Clearly, you do not know the difference between the two.
Childish personal attacks? Look who is boasting of their years as a Christian, implying you know more than I and the next person who doesn't share your belief or experience because you've been 'around' and never in your years have you seen anything that I speak of. Your own posts show you are one of the kind I am talking about. The irony.

Can you prove that you do not seem a self-important, egotistical bigot, based on your comment? If not, then my opinion remains, and you can take offence to it like you did my first post because it obviously bothers you that someone younger than you has an opinion of which you don't hold.

I quite clearly have shown scripture and my position on this topic, including the differences, but you came in guns blazing - or on your high horse - and felt the need to be condescending and make comments about how I am blanketing all Christians to be fearful or some other nonsense. Honestly, do you read well or are you deliberately antagonistic?

Excuse me! May I ask, according to the sun and the moon, what type of day will I live tomorrow?

file:///T:/Saros/Eclipse%20Simulation%20Software.htm

http://www.eclipsewise.com/solar/SEprime/0001-0100/SE0029Nov24Tprime.html

For example, Joshua wasn´t afraid of asking God for a miracle like this: Josh 10:13 The sun stood still, and the moon stopped until a nation got revenge on its enemies. Isn't this recorded in the Book of Jashar? The sun stopped in the middle of the sky, and for nearly a day the sun was in no hurry to set.

PS

"
The personality traits are based " on simple observations. Nothing else. :)
i have read and reread this post and am still at a loss as to what you are saying. Please explain.

I wasn't going to post here, since I have prior experience with Astrology. But I believe I'm compelled to by the Holy Spirit.

I was once very interested in Astrology and New Age thinking, in my 20's. I had my chart done, readings, all that stuff.

I went to a life counselor that was a New Ager back then. The things the two women together who did my future reading revealed to me, came true. Including my stroke, two miscarriages, and one daughter. The only thing that didn't, was what I could change. I kept the marriage together, til I could get custody. Everything else was true.

But the thing I want to point out is, the farthest into my future they could go was where I had had enough of my life like it was, it coincided with when I was able to legally fight for custody.

And since then, I have looked at my old sources and they no longer make sense. At all...this all coincides very close with the time I was saved. Astrology now seems irrelevant in my life.

I truly believe this is no coincidence.

Astrology appeals to people to tell them what the future holds as if knowing will change its outcome. But there is a sad reality, you are asking an authority to tell you what will happen, not what is going to happen. It is like saying you give up your future to submit to something you do not know. I have heard a lot of very similar stories, where it is in Jesus and his freedom there is no power astrologers have to see what will be, because they have no authority there.

So for christians to submit to these predictions is a denial of the work of Jesus and his authority, and a complete denial of trust, that whatever Jesus intends is for our best. Worse still a lot of astrology is just lies and deception, which makes the joke even worse.

Excuse me, just that astronomy it is not the same with "astrology" (which is not a science). They´ve mixed one thing with the other.

Planets neither stars will tell me my present or future, simply.

Ask around about my reputation on the site. Some will be good, some bad, just like everyone else here. But overall i think i have earned a decent reputation as not being the things you want to accuse me of through 2 posts.

It worked at the Lord´s crucifiction too, when the earth stopped moving for 3 hour (or something "big" stopped the sun rays above Jerusalem)...
That can't be considerd astrology, astrology is "reading" the stars.

Actually, I apologise for being so... rude.
It is not my intention to fight with people on this site. Usually have no problem but I was in a very no-nonsense mood at the time. It's a controversial topic and as such, one feels the need to defend their view. But I was quite rude, so sorry Ugly.
