Just through I would share my view on this case from a logical point of view, then give some scripture on the matter.

I think I speak for every Christian on this site when I describe the fine of $125,000 and the equally dire events leading up to this outcome as an absolutely disgusting spectacle, and an utter disgrace, in which a family who's only ''crime'' was faithfully following Christ, or from a secular point of view, adhering to their faith which is the bedrock and unshakeable foundation of every Christians' life.

I have heard what many have had to say, and here are the arguments:
- ''The lesbian couple were discriminated against''
- ''The Christians were bigots''
- ''The Christian's beliefs are archaic''
- ''The Christians are hypocrites''

The list goes on.

Ultimately, this comes down to two opposing principles, the lesbians rights to their sexuality, and the Christians right to their beliefs.

So, the gay couple evidently disagreed with the Christian's beliefs and vice-versa, would the obvious solution not have been to agree to disagree, and used another bakery? But no, they completely crush their business to the point of closure, and that's not enough, they then sue them and win $125,000.

Why should one couples right to their sexuality take precedence over someone's beliefs?

Whether or not anyone calls the Christian faith archaic is besides the point, at what point did the two females have the moral authority to make that decision conferred to them?

It's evident whether we like it or not, that there is no freedom to believe, we have no rights to our faith and it will get worse, and I speak for the UK, and as far as I can tell [correct me if I am wrong] the USA [in some states]. Freedom of religion and exercising beliefs is the illusion that countries have successfully deceived the masses into believing.

With the states decision to fine the bakers for simply adhering faithfully the the word of God, we can now be happily reassured that our right to belief is no longer lawfully protected, and is no longer of any importance.

Thinking about this further I cam to realize the greatest enemy here is not those who profess no faith in Christ, nor the state, but the nominal so called ''Christians'' who have completely and without qualification destroyed most churches from within, and claim to be representing Christ when they collectively approve of such an abomination.

There is no Christian outcry as big as it should be because there are so many people who wrongly identify as Christian in support of this! It is madness, it's like me claiming to be a mechanic with no understanding of cars simply because I can exercise my right to identify as something. It doesn't make me a mechanic.

Thank the Lord we were warned of this!

Mark 13:13 -- ''You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.''

1 Peter 4:14 -- ''If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.''

Matthew 5:11 -- ''Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.''

We can see from this scripture that persecution is something that will come, and increase in severity. As in many countries already they can be killed for following Christ, it is but a matter of very short time until western countries catch up, just you wait and see. Let's praise God for the promise that we are blessed every time this happens! Let's praise God for the assurance that we are in him when this happens. Let's praise God for his warning's.

Let them laugh at us, let them hate us, let slaughter us, let them curse and imprison us because we have hope in Christ and he will render every account of injustice against his servants settled in the end. We have the love of God in our hearts, let's keep a soft answer in our mouths and a cool head, and not give them satisfaction, as with every blow they strike against Christians and every time we are persecuted the really are paying us a compliment in that they know we will not retaliate and resort to violence and civil unrest in outrage. I dare people to say against us, and those high profile individuals who publicly shame us to go to Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi and more, to say what they say against Christians, against the Muslims. They would not dare.

Romans 12:19 -- ''Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

Matthew 5:39 -- ''But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.''

Psalm 7:11 -- ''God judges the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.''

You are presuming that this country still grants free exercise of religion.

Mt 10:18-26
18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

we are missing the greater picture to this issue. this is a legal business who serves its goods to the public who has refused service to people based on their sexual orientation, be from religious beliefs or other doesn't matter.

if this is allowed to happen, what is next, are business owners who serve to the public allowed to refuse people because they are black, based on their personal beliefs religious or otherwise.
will they be able to refuse people who are jewish, because they aren't considered saved.
will they be able to refuse anyone who isn't christian,

where would it stop, we need to view this in a reasonable way. sure they are allowed their religious beliefs, but their are laws created to prevent public discrimination like this.

people think, well i would just go to another bakery, but why should they. why should they be ostrisized in what is supposed to be a free country.
and are there any Christians who are upset with this, ever been denied access to anything based soley on the fact that they are Christians, and if we haven't then we have no idea what the feeling is like.

we need to step back and look at the whole ramifications.

YES, a business has a right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
Why is it no one complains when we see signs that read " NO SHOES, NO SHIRT, NO SERVECE"?
What if someone wants to come into your resturant completly naked to eat lunch, don't you have the right to refuse service?
What about the guy that is so drunk he has trouble standing up?
What about the guy using profanity?
I could go on and on with reason after reason to just say no, I will not serve you.
That is my right in a FREE COUNTRY.

A reporter went under cover and asked Muslims if they would serve gay people and all said they would not. Yet all I hear about Christians being fined and anti-gay. I wonder why....

No shoes, No shirt, is a government health rule for food contamination. it is not anyones choice. come on and get real.
and did the muslims who said they would not serve gay people, actually get caught not serving gay people. there is a big difference, and then you compare that to someone actually engaging in the action.

what the heck is wrong with everyone here.

where is all this tolerance, and compassion Christians are supposed to have from Christ Jesus.

What would christ have done, refused them, or serve them glady with a good dose of the word.

i give up on this site with you all. big group of you are no different than the hitler regime. only he was up front about his intentions.

no shoes no shirt, is a government health law to protect everyone from food contamination, and it applies to everyone with no discrimination.
drunkenness, or profanity does not discriminate against any individual of creed color or race,

That certainly seems to be the case. Not that it surprises me.
Holy racist people, what the heck. the muslims in the above post were only said to have stated their belief and never shown to have acted on it, whereas the christian people did;
when the muslims are shown to have acted on the same principal and not fined as the Christians were, then by all means, you have a case.

Till then, pick up the good book and ask the lord for forgiveness for your bigotry and racism.

Look, I am just going to be up front and say the obvious and say it out of love eyesonly. You don't preach Christianity, you preach humanism and Jesus Christ is nothing more to you than a footnote to satisfy your critics.

You claim Jesus is not the only way to enter heaven, among many other off-center or outright heretical ideologies/theologies.

From the boy who broke the lords commandment of "honor thy father and mother" when you called your mother evil.

so sad so very very sad and so very hypocritical. oh my, the lord is shaking his head in so much sadness when one of his children cannot see their own short comings yet is prophetic on everyone elses.

CAN ANY BUSINESS REFUSE TO SERVE SOMEONE BECAUSE THEY ARE BLACK. YES OR NO
