Sorry but all that last part means is no one knows the exact time he comes. Since I think we both agree on that it does nothing to prove either of us wrong or right. Also it's the verses before the "one shall be taken" section that says as it was in the days of Noah so will it be in the last days with sinners everywhere unremoursful of their actions and they were all "taken away" for their sins.
The point is,if you are right,HE IS NOT COMING.

See what your doctrine has produced????

You,by your own law,are waiting for the anti-christ as opposed to correctly waiting for the CHRIST

In fact,it would be rediculous for you to be watchfull.(according to what your doctrine requires)

If the coming of the Lord and our gathering are two different events, wouldn't verse 3 read those days will not come until... ?
. . .
Well, there's your Achilles heal. Wanna know why I'm so certain of my beliefs? Because I test and challenge them all the time. Sometimes end up modifying or changing them when it warrants. Truth isn't a hill that you hold like a Marine, it's a mountain that you climb every day. And the only way you know you have a good handhold on the face is to test it. The day you say you're willing to test your beliefs is the day your beliefs gain legitimacy.
. . .
2 Thessalonians 2:3 (NKJV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

Only one other individual in Scripture shares the dubious distinction of being named son of destruction: Judas (John 17:12; the nasb translates the same Greek phrase "son of perdition"). The title is thus reserved for the two vilest people in human history, controlled by Satan (John 13:2; Rev. 13:2) and guilty of the two most heinous acts of apostasy. Judas lived and ministered intimately with the incarnate Son of God for more than three years—a privilege granted to only eleven others. Yet after observing Jesus' sinless life, hearing His wisdom, and experiencing His divine power and gracious love, Judas betrayed Him. Amazingly, he was so much a son of destruction that the glories of Christ that softened the eleven hardened him.
Monstrous as that apostasy was, it pales in comparison to the act of future apostasy Antichrist will commit. Judas betrayed the Son of God; Antichrist will proclaim himself God. Judas desecrated the temple with the money he received for betraying Christ (Matt. 27:5); Antichrist will desecrate the temple by committing the abomination of desolation (Matt. 24:15). Judas, apparently without influencing others, went astray, a tragic, solitary disaster (Acts 1:18-19); Antichrist will lead the world astray into destruction (Rev. 13:5-8).
After initially posing as the friend of religion (cf. Rev. 17:13), Antichrist will suddenly reveal his true nature when he commits blasphemy against God and opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship (cf. Rev. 13:15-16). Energized by Satan and aided by the false prophet, Antichrist will have immense power to successfully demand that the world worship him (cf. Rev. 13:1-17). Satan, who has always longed to be worshiped (cf. Isa. 14:13-14), will fulfill that desire vicariously through the worship accorded Antichrist. Antichrist will exalt himself by taking his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. The temple, the symbol of God's presence, is the most fitting place for Satan to orchestrate the ultimate act of blasphemy—a wicked man displaying himself as being God. This apostasy, to which Paul refers here and which Jesus called the "abomination of desolation" (Matt. 24:15), referring to Daniel's prophecy, will take place at the midpoint of the Tribulation (Dan. 9:27). It will initiate God's judgment on the world through Antichrist's reign of terror during the second half of the Tribulation. At the end of that three-and-a-half-year period, Christ will return in glory to destroy Antichrist's kingdom and all the ungodly. The Lord Jesus will cast him into the lake of fire along with his false prophet (Rev. 19:11-21).
Paul's point is clear. The apostasy, Antichrist's blasphemous self-deification and desecration of the Temple, is a unique, unmistakable event that precedes the Day of the Lord. Since that clearly has not happened, the Day of the Lord cannot have arrived. And it never will for believers.
We need not fear the judgment of that Day. Believers are "not in darkness, that the day would overtake [them] like a thief" (1 Thess. 5:4). We are waiting for Jesus to return from heaven (1 Thess. 1:10) and gather us to Himself (2 Thess. 2:1; cf. John 14:1-3). We look for the true Christ, not the Antichrist. Only those who are deceived and forgetful risk losing the confident hope and expectant joy of Christ's return before the Day of the Lord.

MacArthur New Testament Commentary, The - MacArthur New Testament Commentary – 1 & 2 Thessalonians.

I am that CONVINCED that the Calling Out of the Bride will happen before the Antichrist orchestrates the Seven Year Peace Treaty with Israel, because I ALREADY HAVE put that teaching to the TEST decades ago, and the HOLY SPIRIT IN ME, has ALREADY convinced me that I have believed the TRUTH. To continually examine every wind of Doctrine to see if one has believed the truth, is a sign of spiritual immaturity. But from what you appear to believe, you may do well not to totally trust what you have believed.

American Schools vs. the World: Expensive, Unequal, Bad at Math - The Atlantic
The U.S. education system is mediocre compared to the rest of the world, according to an international ranking of OECD countries."

"more motivated to actually serve the Lord" ?
Does that include the carnage they 'served' to the Vietnamese, Laotions, Cambodians and a host of others ?
Does it include the slaughter inflicted on women, children and babies as the bombs rained down on residential Baghdad ?

WHEN THE ROLL IS CALLED UP YONDER

Words & Music: James M. Black, 1893

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

Refrain
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there.
On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the glory of His resurrection share;
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

Refrain
Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun,
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care;
Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

Time Shall Be No More???
Dead in Christ Shall Rise???
When all of life is over???

Clearly, not before the Tribulation:D. Second Coming all the Way!!
Plainword, you did not do your homework.

The Song you quoted is a Pre-Trib believing song, buy a Song Writer named James Milton Black, who started His Career at Moody Bible Institute, a famous Pre-Trib believing school. We certainly believe ALL of the Dead truly in Christ (born again) rise from their graves BEFORE we are Caught Up, if we are still alive when the Bridegroom tells His Archangel to Shout and call HIS BRIDE OUT of her old dwelling place Earth. You did not get the true meaning of his words because you view everything through the false doctrine of Non Pre-Trib, something like rose colored glasses distort the true colors of everything.

The word, "Harpazo" is not found in Mat 24 and neither are the words, "caught up." Why is that?

ANSWER: There is no "catching up" when Christ returns. The angels are sent out to first remove the wicked, then to gather the wheat into the barn.
Your theory has 1/2 of the earths population wicked, the other half righteous, but no wicked on the planet at his return.

pretty far fetched and rediculous.

It also places a lake of fire in the gt as opposed to the end of the 1k(tares being burned up)

You made that stuff up

I'm glad you have a 100% infallible lock on the truth. Nice to meet you jesus.

Methinks some people should stop smoking the spinach, 'cause it's making your egos too big. You know, the higher you climb on the pedestal, the farther you have to fall.

Frankly, I don't care when the rapture happens. I'm preparing for post, hoping for pre, believe it's somewhere in between, but really what I think is moot. What REALLY CONCERNS me here is the infallible egos of you people. Humble thyselves, lest ye be humbled!

Ricky, you too can really have that kind of inner personal LOVE relationship with the LORD Jesus Christ in your heart for REAL. You will know it happened, when wave after wave of remorse over your utter sinfulness washes over you, and you cry out to HIM sobbing for forgiveness; as you willingly out of a DEEP LOVE for HIM totally surrender to HIM as your MASTER (LORD), giving HIM complete control of your life forever, without keeping one tiny bit back for yourself.

That is NOT something you do in your mind out of your strength; that is something the HOLY SPIRIT HIMSELF DOES IN YOUR HEART {your human spirit}.

Gary your reasoning, creates contradictions. Believe whatever you want Gary, as for me and my house, we will believe what the Bible SAYS:
you mean you will believe what you THINK the Bible says.

Zechariah 14:1-4 (NKJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, And your spoil will be divided in your midst.
[SUP]2 [/SUP] For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, The houses rifled, And the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
This is describing 70 AD. 'all the nations' refers to surrounding nations. It was God's final judgment on Jerusalem because they had crucified His Son

[SUP]3 [/SUP] Then the LORD will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle.
And that is what the LORD did. He went forth as a mighty warrior to bring the nations to Himself.

[SUP]4 [/SUP] And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
which is precisely what happened. He took His stand on the mount of Olives and pronounced judgment over Jerusalem (Mark 13.3 ff).

And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south.
Why the mount of olives, mentioned nowhere else in the Old Testament? Because in Zechariah olive trees represent God's witnesses (Zech 4.12-14). The mount of olives represented God's powerful witness through His anointed ones, and its rending in half indicated that His witnesses would go both north and south as did the witnesses of the Messiah as they went out to the world.

THAT IS THE SECOND COMING and the Armies are there waiting for HIM!
I see no mention of the second coming. You are inventing it. and the only armies mentioned are the armies of witnesses.
Matthew 26:64 (HCSB)
[SUP]64 [/SUP] “You have said it,” Jesus told him. “But I tell you, in the future you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power {after the Rapture} and coming on the clouds of heaven.” {A HIS Second Coming.}

The Greek is literally ap arti = FROM NOW ON. These very men sitting there were going to SEE what Jesus described happening. When did they see Him seated at the right hand of power? As a consequence of His resurrection when He sent His Holy Spirit to manifest His power at work in the world.

What does 'coming on the clouds of Heaven' mean to the Sadducees and Rabbis? They would see it in terms of when the Son of Man came on the clouds of Heaven INTO THE PRESENCE OF THE ANCIENT OF DAYS to receive His kingdom. (Dan 7.13-14). Again it was a description of them seeing His kingdom established as large numbers of Jews responded to the Messiah.

[SUP]64 [/SUP] “You have said it,” Jesus told him. “But I tell you, FROM NOW ON you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power {after the Resurrection} and coming on the clouds of heaven.” {As His kingdom was established after His resurrection.}

Could you, since you act like you command knowledge and understanding of escatology, show us one postrib rapture verse?
Revelation 20:4-6

4*Then I saw thrones and seated on them were those who had been given authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. These had not worshiped the beast or his image and had refused to receive his mark on their forehead or hand. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.5*(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were finished.) This is the first resurrection.*6*Blessed and holy is the one who takes part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.
As I have stated before, I don't believe that the verses referencing "the rapture" are really about that at all but are actually referring to the first resurrection. The same time that the two witnesses are resurrected and ascend into heaven in the same manner as Christ, then I believe everyone else will follow. These are ONLY those who were alive to reject the Antichrist. Everyone else in history will wait until the end of the 1000 year reign of Christ on Earth as it is written. When you open your mind to God it all actually reads like a great book. (The irony of that statement is not lost on me.) But yes I believe that all of those references point to that one event.

SilverFanng, who is teaching you these twisted Opinions and false Ideas like NEVER being able discern Truth from Error for sure?

FYI: I was born again, the Last week of 1977. The means I have had the Holy Spirit in me as my Teacher for a very long time. I have put my beliefs and the teachings of those who TAUGHT ME, to the test of Scripture a LONG TIME AGO. The Holy Spirit HIMSELF has convinced me that I have believed the TRUTH about the Calling Out of the Bride as far back as in the 80s, and the Holy Scriptures have also CONFIRMED IT AS TRUTH. I have grown Spiritually Mature, over the Years, and I have LONG since left that immature spiritual age where I am tossed too and fro by every wind of Doctrine. YES because of HE who is in me, I have that kind of confidence that I have believed TRUTH.

Ephesians 4:11-15 (NKJV)
[SUP]11 [/SUP] And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
[SUP]12 [/SUP] for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
[SUP]13 [/SUP] till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
[SUP]14 [/SUP] that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
[SUP]15 [/SUP] but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ--

1 Corinthians 2:6-16 (NKJV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
[SUP]7 [/SUP] But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,
[SUP]8 [/SUP] which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
[SUP]10 [/SUP] But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
[SUP]11 [/SUP] For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
[SUP]12 [/SUP] Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
[SUP]13 [/SUP] These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
John 14:26 (ISV)
[SUP]26 [/SUP] But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of all that I have told you.

Hebrews 5:14 (HCSB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] But solid food is for the mature—for those whose senses have been trained to distinguish between good and evil.

Hebrews 6:1-2 (GW)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] With this in mind, we should stop going over the elementary truths about Christ and move on to topics for more mature people. We shouldn't repeat the basics about turning away from the useless things we did and the basics about faith in God.
[SUP]2 [/SUP] We shouldn't repeat the basic teachings about such things as baptisms, setting people apart for holy tasks, dead people coming back to life, and eternal judgment.

So why am I here? IT CERTAINLY IS NOT TO TEST MY BELIEFS, NOR IS IT TO EXAMINE YOUR BELIEFS TO SEE IF THE HOLY SPIRIT LET ME STUMBLE INTO ERROR. I am here to present what we really BELIEVE, and show how we support it Biblically, so that younger Believers will not be tossed to and fro by false Doctrine. It does not matter much to me if you reject every word that I post. I post for those who want to read and are encouraged by the Doctrines explained correctly. I pray for Spiritual guidance every time I prepare a post. HE gets all the credit, I am just the bus boy punching the keys.

For those who are encouraged by this Evangelical teaching of HIS Calling Out of HIS BRIDE, I request that we pray for one another, to continue to proclaim the TRUTH, accurately and BOLDY:

Ephesians 6:18-20 (ESV)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
[SUP]19 [/SUP] and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,
[SUP]20 [/SUP] for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.
Congratulations on your redemption. My first memories are of conversations between God and myself. I have literally been studying God and His will my entire conscientious life. What I speak has not been revealed to me by man but by God Himself in my quiet times. He then confirmed it to me as I tried to deny what He showed me and told me for years. It wasn't until I was nearly finished with my time in college that He opened my eyes to how wrong I had been. After reassessing my beliefs and my trust in He who saves I realized that I had been a fool and I spent two years in shock and spiritual silence just listening to Him. And what He continues to share with me blows my mind. I then brought it to pastors and when we debated this topic I realized a crucial falacy in their teachings: in order for there to be a rapture Christ must return between 3-5 times! This is directly from the mouths of pastors.

well its so good to know that everyone on here has received direct revelation from God. Its a pity they all disagree. I guess I'm just a man humble enough to recognise that although I have sought the guidance of the Holy Spirit I may still be wrong. And He guided me out of millennialism (which neither Jesus nor Paul mentioned) into recognising that Jesus Christ is living and reigning NOW and that the SOULS of His saints are living and reigning with Him NOW, as are all who are Christ's (Eph 2.5-6). For the FIRST resurrection is the resurrection of Jesus, the FIRST to be raised from the dead..

Actually I am waiting for Christ to appear and slaughter all his enemies in one fell swoop at Armageddon. We will ascend, AFTER the first resurrection. So, in response to a previous post stating that everyone being beheaded makes ascension "impossible" it doesn't matter because the resurrection must occur first, then we ascend to join His army. We who are alive to reject the AC will be in the first resurrection and therefore join Christ on Earth during His reign to reestablish society in the new kingdom.

So no, I am NOT waiting for the Antichrist while at the same time I AM anticipating his arival. For it means Christ is coming soon.

Honestly, I think we're just doing as Christ commanded and sharpening ourselves as steel against steel. These debates and discussions are just making our faith stronger and correcting where it is we were wrong.
