Acts 10:8 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power:
who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil;
for God was with him.

for the world, obviously. but you don't see that kind of stink nor that kind of behavior in the lives of the faithful believers in Ephesians, etc, in the NT,

nor in the lives of the faithful believers abiding in yahshua in the underground/ persecuted church today.
It's there nevertheless, they would be the first to tell you. It's just covered by a sweet aroma and the perfect righteousness of Christ.

Jesus clearly stated that there is NONE GOOD but God.....God inspired the following thoughts and truths....

1. None Good...no not one<--Romans
2. All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags and our iniquities like the wind have taken us away<--Isaiah
3. If we say we have no SIN, we are deceived and the truth is not in us<--1st John
4. There is not a just man upon the earth that does good and sins not<--Ecclesiastes

Many godly men of the bible committed horrific sins and or sinned after being saved as the bible records...

1. David a man after God's own heart and mind committed adultery with Bathsheba and had her husband Uriah Killed
2. Peter lied three times when he denied the Lord and used foul language in the process, he also played the hypocrite when it came to socializing with the gentiles and then disassociating when the Jews came around.
3. Abraham was deceptive about his half sister wife to save his own skin
4. Daniel prayed and confessed his sins and associated himself with the sins of his people even though one sin is not recorded about him.
5. Paul towards the end of his life writes that he is the number one chief sinner among men.
6. Noah got rip roaring falling down blind drunk after the flood.
7. Thomas, after walking with the Lord for over three years and having the abilities to work miracles doubted the resurrection.
8. Solomon built temples and groves to idols because of the affiliation with his wives and concubines.
9. Peter was also called Satan once by Jesus for denying that Jesus had to die for the redemption of humanity.

Etc. At the end of the day the bible is clear.....the Pharisees bragged about their own righteousness, claimed how sinless they were and consistently pointed the finger at those around them while denying their own sin. Just because someone is saved does not mean that they will not in a moment of weakness sin....this does not mean that we cannot overcome particular sins and or cease from continual sin. You know....the man who will not even lift his eyes to heaven while beating on his chest and seeking forgiveness of sins is the one who walks away justified before God....not the one who brags and boasts of his righteousness, of being sinless and or makes claims to being righteous at the detriment of others.......

The statements below are applied unto particular sins of the flesh and not to the over all sinfulness of the flesh....
1. Go and sin no more
2. Those who have suffered in the flesh have ceased from sin

For there is NOT a just man upon the earth that does GOOD and SINS NOT<------when this was written there were saved men on the earth and this is as applicable unto them as much as it is applicable unto us!

The spirit that is born of God does NOT sin, is eternally saved, justified and sanctified in Christ positionally.
The flesh that the spirit is housed in is fallen, sinful and dead because of sin

Jesus said it best and proves the conflict that takes place within a true believer.......The Spirit is indeed willing, but the FLESH IS WEAK<----Paul expounds on this, although it is rejected by those who brag and boast of their own righteousness and lack of sin!

jesus the same yesterday, today, and forever.

mankind, more wicked now, today, 2015, than ever before, and getting worse - not better.

soon, as in the days of noah, there won't be room for any more evil on earth -- it is nearly full up.....

Just an honest question but what is at the core of the issue of total depravity vs the other one....I forgot....but nevertheless, putting those two issues aside...is it possible for the two different sides of the coin to live at peace with the other, or is one going to hell and the other not. Cuz really that is the issue....do those who believe in total depravity believe there isn't room in heaven for both and vice versa?

Because if one of us has that wrong and as a result are going to hell......then that opens a whole can of worms as to how we all fall short of the commands of scripture.

Your statement belies the fact that you lack understanding in the truth...as the truth is applicable in every age and the same things that happened with these men happens today is all believers...now...Go read it again and understand the point of the post......!

if a man thinks the doctrine saves him, he has lost already.

any doctrine. (letter of the law type stuff)....

since jesus said "unless you become like a little child, you will never even see the kingdom of heaven"

and since children don't care diddly about the so-called doc of dep, or the other, it doesn't matter....

..... either be becoming like a little child as jesus says,

or not.

no one will make someone else.

We can only overcome sin and live right as long as we allow the Spirit to lead us,but we are still capable to sin if we desire.Paul said that while he does good, evil is still present with him,and God said there is no good thing that dwells in the flesh, even when saved.

A man approached Jesus and called Him good Master, and Jesus said, why do you call Me good, there is only one that is good, and that is God,which Jesus is saying that He is only doing good because God is causing Him to do good.If Jesus said do not call Him good, but only God,which of course He is speaking as the man Christ Jesus, then we can not act like anything special.
Amen to that for sure.......!

Becoming as little children can be as putting off malice, little children arent malicious

1Cr 14:20 Brethren, be not children in understanding:
howbeit in malice be ye children,
but in understanding be men.

good. one out of many descriptions in GOD'S WORD for his children, in grace, by faith. (remember people can possibly 'imitate' things, including putting off malice or doing it for deceptive reasons -- like whitewashed tombs did long ago , or tried to make it look that way..... ) i.e.

along with all else included, whatever is not of faith is sin. (this is much more important shortly or later)

That is tied into the leaven of the Pharisees verses the uneavened bread of sincerity

1 Cr 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness;
but with the unleavened
bread of sincerity and truth.

People can fake a lot of things even fiegn themselves honest, but just because that is true shouldnt change anything for anyone else desiring to be both honest and sincere.

Someone can be plain to anothers conscience too, I believe that.

yes, qualified --- a lot of people (most people) have guilty consciences, or seared consciences, and that makes their thoughts untrustworthy.

a little child in the spirit of yahshua , abiding in union with him, and taught the way he should go, often has the clean and clear fellowship with yahweh, by yahweh's grace, and as HIS WORD says clearly, to perceive and experientially know the TRUTH which is hidden from scholars and lawyers and such as GOD'S WORD says -
to know from GOD what the flesh cannot know or learn.

it is in the spirit that yahweh teaches and communicates with a persons spirit, as written in the NT,
and in the spirit what is learned, may be eventually learned in the mind with words taught by the spirit.

i.e. the hunches, intuition, conscience, and mind cannot perceive spiritual things - spirit perceives spirit, as yahweh says and accomplishes and permits.

this is simpler in experience in yahshua hamashiach , not complicated.

I wouldnt advocate trusting peoples thoughts
good. you have in your posts tested things by GOD'S WORD, as "Bereans" do for example, and as it
is needed to do.

others usually believe their own thoughts without knowing GOD'S WORD or submitting /subjecting their thoughts and imaginations to JESUS (as it is written in HIS WORD) --
their own thoughts and feelings and emotions contrary to GOD'S WORD,

thus they are unreliable for checking or testing or trusting or knowing TRUTH. and they don't want it known by others,

so they 'hide' it through various means and distractions or devices man has developed to complicate things instead of

trusting and believing GOD in the simple way HE has made everything....

they haven't surrendered to GOD through JESUS yet, but rather try to defend their's or another's so-called 'rights' that GOD'S WORD does not authorize or recognize or support.

once they surrender, once anyone surrenders, through JESUS to GOD the FATHER, all their worry and fears are 'lightened' as KING DAVID said - even better as JESUS says "I give you peace, not as the world gives...." and they rest in HIS care, (LIKE LITTLE CHILDREN!) (lambs/ sheep too!)

yes, no worries. no contradictions. i was /am in agreement about not trusting people's thoughts(not even our own thoughts), and

describing for contrast how people trusting their own(or others) thoughts led to error opposed to GOD'S WORD and different than what JESUS says in HIS WORD ---

the same can happen to us if we start/go back to/ trusting our own thoughts instead of GOD'S WORD.

no, it's not there none-the-less cross... ,

they are the only ones who can tell you, a new creation is now, real time, - those who are born from above ...

however, you may(probably) personally not know anyone living (like the disciples,as a disciple) as a follower of Jesus. few do. when you meet one, you will be humbled out of your socks, without a word, "surprised speechless" even.... with awe and wonder and thankful heart to God.

even that it is possible is unknown to the world.

Even on our best days we deserve hell, even in our obedience we fall short
