How do you prove God exists to non-believers

I'm a very open person about my faith and am always eager to share my testimony to others. The other day one of my friends at work was questioning me about my faith and raised the question "how do you know God is real?" I told him that I just know its a feeling that I have and it's in the way that I wouldn't have gotten through so many things if it wasn't for God. He replied saying "so your proof is nothing more than the way you feel?" I'm a big fan of the movie God's not Dead so I encouraged him to watch it and gave him some examples. He's still not convinced. Me and this guy are really good friends and I want to see him in Heaven. But my mind goes blank every time he asks for proof. I guess I was just wondering if anyone else has difficulties with this, or has any ideas on how I could explain it to him?

you can share him about an atheist who received Christ. and also invite him to prayers, fellowship and pray. it may open his heart for Jesus to come in.

I struggled with this when I first went to a Christian college. I didn't know much about Christ, and I had a roommate that was an atheist. (which I thought was weird. He only stayed for a semester and originally came cause it was by the beach. Don't know why a Christian school but besides the point). He would always say the Bible is nothing but a bunch of words, and that he could write a book about multiple stories, and say they were true. At the time I said he was right. The Bible is a book with a bunch of words. And it does have a lot of stories. Stories from God. About God. About Christ's return. I told him it's hard not to believe, and just look at the creation around us and all the miracles you hear and read about that doctors and police and firefighters can't find the words to explain. Normally it's his choice to believe, but you could always invite him to church and ask if he would like a Bible. But ultimately it's up to him.

I have heard that some of the most devout Christians were once atheists. I think the fact that he's asking means he's at least curious about Christ. I know if he would become a believer God could use him in amazing ways he's very influential.
But that definitely is good advice. I'm going to try that tactic of asking him to prove God doesn't exist. Thanks!

Get him to open up about his convictions against God. After all, the "you can't prove nor disprove God's existence" goes both ways. It's not always (if it's ever) so much of a logical conclusion as it is just as much a feeling for non-believers, like how you feel God does exist.

If you really want to get behind the wheel of making a case for your faith, look into Christian apologetics. Ravi Zacharias, John Lennox, and C.S. Lewis (God rest his soul) are great in this area.

But yeah another user also recommend looking into aapologetics. I actually have never heard of those before except C.S Lewis. I'll definetly look into that, and hopefully find some answers.

According to the strict definition of the word prove, you can't. But you can prove in the sense that there's an abundance of evidence that a creator exists.

I have faith that Jesus is the Son of God. My faith is based on evidence.

Here's an itty bitty miniscule tiny speck of evidence regarding the validity of the Bible. The existence of Jews. Their origin and history found in the Bible.

Here's another. Archeology. Do some online searching for the Bible and Archeology.

I could list much more. Never ending list. But why the Bible? If you can show your friend that the claims of the Bible are supported by evidence, you also prove God exists. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1.

You might find this is helpful: I can't prove God exists. But as I look around, I see existence. I see the stars and moon of the night. I see waves and tides. Birds. Seeds planted. Flowers blooming. I see. My eyes allow for that. My eyes. They focus ever so quickly. Etc. How did existence happen? From where? Just appeared?

That's it. Take your friend to see a baby born. Oh, just go to a farm. Keep it clean.

A person is a dingo who sees a birth and fails to be impressed with the origin of that birth and the development stages during the pregnancy.

If God did not create all we see, hear, and know, then how in all of God's precious green earth did it all come into being?

Well who created God? If God was created, He's not God! Eternal God.

Ask your friend to prove that Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the U.S.
Ask your friend to explain Thought. Imagination. Hope. Love. What are they? How did they come into being?

Dont prove nothing, because by trying to prove, you will engage into an argument or disagreements. Because they believe in what they believe.Rather try proving, just tell them about God, tell them what he has done for you tell them what God can do for them. and share the gospel. Jesus said to go out in the world to tell the gospel, not prove, so just share his word, share your ministries, before long they will see that God is doing good in you, and they will want that in there lives one day, non believers tend to not listen to you on the day, but in there brains, they are taking mental notes. and its what you tell them about God's word that stirs something in them eventually.

The problem today we have is that too many people are trying to prove this or that, not realising God don't want you to do that. Because its things like that causes divisions, and leads people astray with mumble jumble. and then of course they get to a point they don't know what to believe. So Just share the gospel, tell them about God, tell them what God is doing in your life. God will bless you that. God bless

Thanks. This is really good advice. I get your point in saying there's nothing more I can do other than tell him about Jesus and be a walking testimony, I feel like that all the time. He never ridicules me for being a Christian he's even said before when telling him about a mission trip I've been "I think its great that you can do that kind of stuff, I'm just not that good of a person" I tried explaining that nobody is "that good of a person", its God that changes us. Then he brought up proving God exists again. And said that he wasn't going to argue with me because he can't hurt my feelings, or lose me as a friend. Just to let it go.

How can I let it go when I'm going to be the one losing him when I get to Heaven?

Pray for him, Ask the holy spirit to speak through you. When we try and force things in our flesh we often get frustrated when we don't see the outcome we desire. He is Gods son and God loves and desires him to come to him more than you do. Tell him about what jesus has done in your life and just be there to Love him and show him jesus.. Sometimes people need to see our actions not just our words... I do know how hard this is... The bible says that satan has blinded the eyes of those that don't believe, Pray for the scales to be removed from his eyes in jesus name and the love of Christ to be shed abroad in his heart. No need for the straw man assertion. I don't have any problems with presenting evidence. It's that the arguments have become so trite and have gone a little beyond presenting God and become more about winning an argument than winning souls for some people.
