You are lecturing me and you stated Jesus was a sex addict on the other thread
I am not lecturing anyone. I am asking you to prove you point by using the context of the whole book of John. I am sorry if that offends you. thats not my problem.

And no I did not say Jesus was a sex addict. I said if things people said was true about jesus, he would be called a sex addict. You can't even get that right.

If your not going to learn to properly interpret what people say, or at least aske what they mean if you do not understand it. then why even bother responding to them? all you do is prove your heart is closed minded.

I did not call him that either. Your continued false claim is just digging yourself deeper into a hole.

Yeah, Im really starting to catch this differently and I must say what has actually helped (and for which I am actually thanking God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for) here is for all the nastiness I have witnessed. This has actually helped make things clear in a way I wouldnt have thought would. So Im here telling God how great He is and all his ways for the letting in all slander and false witness and accusations because all of that really must manifest I believe. Its an evident token in itself which I have overlooked.
Yes, and was not Judas chosen of the Lord, and broke bread at His table, but also fell away...the son of perdition.

Even so it shall be unto this wicked generation....

2 Thessalonians 2:3
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

this counters what I said? wow.. now I have heard everything. and you expect people to listen to you?
It's an assumption some are listening... I have no interest in seeing scripture twisted into a pretzel, ever, Page Down it is. You only have to read once what some of these are saying, and that could have been once last week, last month, last year, as they've nothing new to say.

judas was never saved, he was a thief from the begining. jesus knew he would reject him. and even called him the son of perdition.

nice try though. God chose many unsaved people to do his will. he chose the pharoah did he not?

Judas was always more intersted in an earthly kingdom than in a heavenly one.

Same old same old. There's not one instance of a born again Christian being lost in all the New Testament, try as they may. It's quite pathetic, in it's weakness and falsity, to drag out Simon or Judas, but they do.

You call what the scriptures say would happen a lie, I call it the Truth.

2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

I speak the Truth according to the words of God. :)
Here's the thing:

Itching ears always want to hear what they can/must do - there is an elitism and a fleshly satisfaction there. Every religion out there is based on what is required of mankind - except Christianity. Christianity is based on what Christ has done for us and resting in His Work; bearing the Fruit the He produces as we rest in Him.

Humility understands that it is only in Christ where we are saved and stay saved and bear His Fruit.

That is Good News, and music to our ears and our spirits - no itching/scratching required!

Too many confuse the Good News of the Gospel as something to tickle itchy ears. They think that for the Gospel to be true it has to be bad news.

Truth is that the Good News of the Gospel gives us rest. It produces Fruit. It is good and pleasing. And that's a good thing. Don't confuse any good and pleasing thing with false teaching or the tickling of itching ears.

God is good and has provided for our salvation. His Spirit produces love, joy, peace, etc. in and through us. Those are Good things. Pleasing things. Comforting things.

Discernment, people, discernment.

Apart from the difference in understanding:

It seems obvious to me that ISIT and those who are like-minded firmly believe what they are saying; just as we who teach OSAS are honest and sincere in our belief.

It seems to me that hot rhetoric and accusations on both sides of the issue is counter-productive; if we are truly trying to persuade each other or onlookers of the truth.

A LIE, BY DEFINITION, IS AN INTENTIONAL MISSTATEMENT WITH INTENT TO DECEIVE

I do not see that coming from either side of the issue.

Can we please tone down the rhetoric? We really don't need to insult each other in order to discuss this.

Extraordinary how can you judge another persons heart with such absolute precision?

By which measure you judge others you will be judged.

Unless you are God you cannot judge another persons heart with regard to this matter.

Do I need to check my bible to verify who is the accuser of the brethren?

For the cause of Christ

Amen! Judas was never saved, but instead was an unbelieving, unclean devil who would betray Jesus (John 6:64-71; 13:10-11). In John 13:18, Jesus said - I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, 'He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.'

the very title son of perdition means one destined to be destroyed. As Jesus said, Judas was a devil, and He chose him knowing that he would be the betrayer. Jesus prayed for Peter that when Satan had done with him he would be restored. He did not pray the same for Judas. Judas was lost from the beginning..

It was necessary for him to eat with Jesus for prophecy to be fulfilled.

yeah and?

Just like the fact you deny what john said in his first epistle in order to keep your faulty believe in what he said in his second one (making him contradict himself)

You contradict yourself (you said I SAID he was a sex addict) and now your saying I said the pharisees called him that. which is it? you cant seem to get your stories straight.

And nobody honest would actually want any of these ugly, dark gospels of doubt and death. Nobody honest or sane would trade the wonderful truth, the very good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for the likes of these things.

Amen! Also, in John 12:3 - Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil. 4 Then one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, who would betray Him, said, 5 "Why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?" 6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it.

Heres a lie in ones hand too

Isaiah 44:20 He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

Yes I checked the word
