So do I have to start my own thread to get some respect around here? Sirk is not your leader! I am your leader! I know that will shock those of you who will not follow women, but GOD TOLD ME!

God told me I was to be the new leader of sarcasm, and generally disrupting the serious posts in the BDF. Wait, there are serious posts??

Sirk, it is time for an anointed, prophetic, laying on of hands, shoot out at the OK Corral. Nothing personal, But that is how things are going down.

Draw!

I already have one, only white with the bright blue wide double stripe -- no A/C, it wasn't standard for Carroll. He didn't see how a convertible needs A/C. And I keep it locked in a climate controlled, low humidity garage and get it out about a half dozen times a year. What a waste, huh?

I bought it 44 years ago for $4,000 -- which made my dad about puke at the "exorbitant price" I paid for a car "you'll wreck, or sell in a year."

The one thing my dad was ever wrong about. 'Course, at the time, I thought he was wrong about a lot!
Mine was dark green, 1967, no Shelby, but it was 1974 when Dad bought me "the clunker," and apparently it lived near the shore or in very snow climates before me. I called it the Flintstonemobile, because the only thing between my feet and the road was the carpet. (And that's why I don't stomp my feet when angry. lol) It could go 0-60 in roughly that many minutes, but only going downhill in a downhill draft. (It maxed at 3 mph trying to get up a couple of hills in Virginia. lol)

Dad bought it for $700 and shortly after I came home from a date at 5 AM (I was lost in the worst part of Philadelphia for three hours, and he never gave me a curfew, so what was I supposed to do other than not get lost? lol) he sold it for $250. I kept telling him "it's a classic." He didn't believe me until that college student kept asking, "Really? Only $250?"

I miss that car, although, honestly? I doubt that carpet would have lasted 40 more years. lol

Still $4000? You could have bought a house for that much! lol

YOU CHALLENGE ME!. YES I AM YELLING AS I AM OVERCOME WITH ANGUISH AT YOUR DECEPTION BECAUSE I AM AFRAID THAT MANY WILL BE DECEIVED BY YOUR APOSTASY. BRING IT...FOR I HAVE TRUTH ON MY SIDE.

I have returned..to hither from whence I departed thee. The word I give you in between these lines can only be discerned from the dearly beloved of the brethren. How whilst thou discern my speaking?
Akin to Shakespeare? (Do I avoid hell by sucking up to the master of sarcasm? :D)

Ah, I regret I must minister to you with the "holy touch" in response ...

They really need to let us reputation point more often than this. LOL

The prophets fequently used sarcasm and Jesus seems to have used it occasionally with His disciples.

It seems to have its place; however I think it is often misapplied.

SILENCE! You have spoken in grave error.

It is possible for thee to fall into favor with the Sirk....it is up to you to discern the things that please the Sirk.

Sirk, you kind of remind me of Captain Kirk. Hey, I made a little joke, silly me. Lol

Are you sure that sarcasm isn't a pagan ritual that only the heathen are allowed to use.... Sirk mighty anointed one of sarcasm.....lol

Better send this post to the Apostle Paul because he was also a sarcastic person.

This is just too much fun. I wonder that the real false prophets of CC haven't come by to pronounced condemnation and lost salvation upon us all.

Gotta go, though. The Royals are just flat gettin' whupped, and I have to slog through the swamp to mow the grass.
"Swamp?" you ask. Nine inches of rain in two weeks. I expect to find alligators out there. Taking my .45 just to be safe.

Ney....you are wrong...as with all your brethren you fall prey to an untruth....for it is written... but I was instructed not utter that which was given unto me by divine revelations. (notice the plural form of revelation...it is very important)

I must depart again...for my bride summoneth me to cut door in the chicken coup.
