It's still far too suspiciously quiet here around the house. Well. Everyone's sleeping right now, except for me. But I'm heading in that direction. But the house...ever since the emotional thing that happened yesterday...gah. Too quiet. Like not even a fight out of them. Then again I wasn't home much today. I was gone pretty much the majority of the day. We didn't really get back until 7 pm.

I just have a LOT of things on my mind right now.

So tomorrow night I am conducting a meeting with fellow educators at my early learning centre. I recently went to a two day seminar and my boss asked me to put together a presentation. The last time I conducted a meeting, I made some people teary because I'm one of those people who waves my arms about, declaring, 'Let's change the world, one life at a time!' because I take my role as a teacher quite passionately.

As most people know, the educational system has taken God out of it. But I'm determined to mess this up. I'm the only believer in my workplace, yet I have such favour there and people are so open for prayer and for my testimony, I have been truly blessed. I've had it on my heart to take scripture and show the women how the Word can be a lamp to our feet as teachers, as people creating nurturing environments for our future generation. I wanted to tie this in to what I learnt from the seminar as well.

People often think I am very confident with public speaking, or when I play my violin in worship. But little do people know that I don't know what I'm doing 50% of the time and that I like a life constantly in desperation for Holy Spirit's help and leading.

I know this isn't the prayer forums, but if you guys could pray for me, that would be great.

A couple of weeks ago, a lady at my work sprained her toe, so I offered to lay hands on her and pray for healing, which she accepted. Se said it felt better straight away, she walked on it and she stated the aching stopped. She said as I was praying for her, she felt goose bumps all over her body and her body warmed up. But later, the ache came back. So when we all gathered in my Kindergarten room one rainy afternoon, I got other educators and even the children to lay hands on her and pray for healing. She went home straight after, but unfortunately that weekend she kicked her toe again.

BUT. I didn't lose my job. So I guess we'll see how much my workplace is willing to let me share the good news. If I am jobless next week, you'll know why.
:p

Good luck and may God be with you! I will pray for you, sister. May the Holy Spirit put the words in your mouth, and may He move among the audience as you deliver your presentation tomorrow. :)

P.S. After your presentation is over, will you send me a nice lunch?

So a couple of weeks ago we had an EF3 tornado go through the closest town to me and demolish so much in its path. There was also an EF1 tornado that touched down about a mile and a half from my house and tore up some trees and barns and such. We're apparently expecting some really really bad weather again later this afternoon. I'd appreciate prayers for safety, but also for a lack of fear. For a spirit of peace to cover my household. I hate fear more than storms, but unfortunately it's easier to be fearful after seeing what happened so close by. Thanks guys!

I have never experienced a tornado and I probably never will. But I know that it is scary and it causes a lot of damage. I am praying for you, your household and all that is yours, Catlynn. :)

my place is a mess....again....or...still?

Been doing my "game" where I set the kitchen timer for 15 minutes, then play on CC or whatever for 15....rinse, repeat.

So far, I've made coffee, done laundry (including folding and hanging clothes), attacked the kitchen countertops, loaded and ran the dishwasher...

taking a break right now for a late breakfast. Want to at least get kitchen done and repot some plants that I've been meaning to get to since March. Maybe I'll reward myself for getting things done by going to studio later to work on a glass project...

...or maybe stay in and work on a music project?

...ugh....choices.

Ugh, enough with this rain. At least, wait until I can get some more rain barrels up, for when the rain does stop, I can have free water. Hee hee

But seriously, I wonder how close we are since there was an E1 touch down the other day, south of here.

I did a lot of driving today. I actually did pretty good. I'm having some issues with seeing things, though. I missed one turn completely once and lost control for a bit, and then I almost missed another one on the way home. It's because I'm getting a bit near-sighted. It's not terrible, but it's just enough for me to have trouble judging distances and turns. The roads have all been very empty today, and I'm fortunate for that. But...I might need an eye appointment because that scared me. A lot.

All is well. Crazy weather, but praise God no tornados nearby, though a few did touch down southeast of us. :( thanks for your prayers!
