He showed me many, many years ago that I was a 'one of a kind', and also that He was relieved because of this!
I simply have no problem what so ever that He has chosen to make me in a way
that no one else would have a choice to be me - (to Him may we give all of the glory)
this blessing is one of the most unique things that this very limited mind/being can comprehend and appreciate.
bottom-line, He is the Author and Finisher of every thing that we can ever comprehend....and, only by
His precious grace.

I cited Luke 18 because to me it came off like you being all "oh look at me! Look at me! Look at what a good christian I am! I'm soooo humble and I can love others freely with Jesus' help of course and not get hung up on myself! Oh isn't that marvelous!"

Jf Cross note is a really great guy he is one of the ones who helped me mature in faith, I am not going to take sides in this conversation between you and him but just know that I can vouch for his heart. But more importantly remember the point of your thread

ik. I remember the point of this thread very clearly. I just wish it could have turned out different...
I don't doubt crossnote's heart...I believe he loves Jesus it's just from what I have read he comes off as a bit of a legalist. And this being on a computer screen I can't read in to his tone of voice, I can't see his body language so I can't get the entire message he is trying to convey. I got the impression that he's a pompous, snooty legalist.
He explained that he used humor?? That went waaaaay over my head. Like WAY over because I can't hear the humor in his text. What I see is someone challenging me. Whenever I go on to a forum like this I like to use ** to outline my actions when they are needed or even my tone of voice to help convey what I am saying better.
So maybe the Bible thread as a whole needs to start using the ** so we can understand each other's tone better...just my opinion.

You can't hear inflection on a forum so it's hard. It's best to try to take a high view and ask questions. Additionally. I think you would have had better luck with this thread in the family forum. I still understand what you're saying tho.
well it takes a time to learn the tone behind someone online and a lot of time it turns out it was merely our view of their tone that was the issue believe me it took me a long time to learn that
I thought about doing that but I wanted to have a Bible study. I knew I was taking a risk by posting it here but I was REALLY hoping people would get it. I was at least hoping people would do the two self-positives and one other-positive but nnnnoooooo! It turned in to another arguing thread about nothing! :-(
I was hoping for differing opinions but I was so hoping they would have been stated nicely in a godly way so that no one would feel like their voice was invalid. I was hoping this was going to be a nice thread. I was hoping not to be lectured about what a "good Christian" should and should not do.
