regarding suicide:

I very rarely ever mention that at one time I sat down with a knife and had it pointing at my heart and very clearly was overcome with a calm and considerate Spirit...which I believe was the Holy Spirit...who pointed out to me that I did not need nor should I kill myself as that was the devil's wish...I put the knife back and have never again desired to do myself in

I won't go into the circumstances or reason I picked up the knife, but I will focus on the choices we make.

It is my honest belief that no suicide is unassisted...that is, the devil and his helpers whisper and poke at you that suicide is the way out of all your problems...hurts and pain

God has given life...it is His alone to take away...God made my choice so real to me, that it was a choice for life and it has lasted through my life

When we focus on self, we see self...God alone can lift our eyes to Him and change our hearts

I understand pain and how that pain can be caused by others...but we can't change others...Jesus knows our pain...He suffered separation from the Father upon the cross...God could not look upon Him as He bore the sins of the world...ALL of them including our own

God is ALWAYS willing that we come to Him ... He tells us to pour out our hearts to Him...I love that verse!

Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. Psalm 62:8 :)

it is if you do it without love

Wherein did I do it without love? How can you judge my heart and my thoughts. I do love you and I would never want you to take your own life. Jesus loves you and He wants only to give you love and peace. Your OP (Original Post) said nothing about suicide. It was misleading. Once you revealed the whole the facts to me of the situation, then I was able to give you the righ words to say to you the situation. Foir Jesus does love you and He desires to move within your heart and life. Jesus is always the answer. He wants to uses you for His purposes and plan. You are more valuable than many sparrows. You are precious in His sight. But we have to ask Him to heal us and to do His will within our lives. That is the key.

I have Jason on ignore; but I still get his garbage from those who are patient enough to respond to him.

EVEN THAT is much too much!

Ok so I get it you love Jesus but what does your view of love look like?

1 Corinthians 13 of which I already mentioned a little within this thread already. Love is not proud. Love does not boast. Love rejoices in the truth. Love is kind.

We should think of ourselves better then what we do, for God shows us that He created us to do His will.
We were called by God from the foundation of the earth to come to the Lord for our salvation, and see the unfavoring love that He has for us. In turn we are to show that unfavoring love toward others, as we are created and lead to walk as He walked in love, mercy, and forgiveness.

One must first learn to accept His love for themselves and understand that abiding in the Lord we are no longer underserving and condemned. We are told to have confidence in Him, and doubting one self as underserving is to place one in doubt.

James 1:5-8
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord;
8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

2 Timothy 1:7

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Condescend to men of low estate<---Romans 12:16

Not to think more highly of yourself than you should<--Romans 12:3

Unfavoring LOVE???????

Jason I have to stop reading your threads. Your unthinking words just make me feel so low. So I'm going to resist the temptation to read anything else of yours. JF - Sister you are lovely hugs

part of love is understanding. When you posted what you would say to a person you didn't ask any personal questions. You just blabbed at them.

Here's what I would say:

Me: Hi. How are you?
Them: *tells me*
Me: tell me more
Them: *tells me more*
Me: *listens and KEEPS MOUTH SHUT ONLY OPENING IT TO ask questions to clarify*
Them: *sigh*
Me: *validates them as a person* what can I do to help?
Them: *tells me what I can do*
Me: *does that and stays with them as long as I can or it takes to get them to a better state of mind*

Later

Me: *calls them and talks to them to make sure they are ok*

Later when they are in a good state of mind

Me: *talks about Jesus*

A lot of times God and Jesus can look like the bad guy so being like "Oh Jesus loves you just turn to Jesus" and they do and nothing happens can actually be more hurtful than helpful. A lot of times that can make a person angry at Jesus and God. So when you say "Jesus loves you" It sounds like a cruel joke.

Don't let him get to you.

90% of the people here think he may be sincerely trying to help.....
......we just can't figure out what version of the Bible he reads?

Our Bibles do not say a lot of what he teaches?
Sounds mean, but it's the truth........we can't present scripture to him in debate, because He tells us "thats not what my Bible states"
Believe it or not, l'm not kidding.

Someone can live in a house up til the age of 18 where every day abuse and molestation takes place. Do you think the person doesn't cry every night for it to stop? Is that person not loved by God or does not have enough faith because the pain stays and the abuse and molesting continues? If God gave every believer what they prayed for the moment we asked for it, this world would be more chaotic than it is. I wouldn't have had to wait 11 months after graduating to find a steady job. That is not how it works. Your philosophy is dangerously similar to that of Joel Osteen and the prosperity Gospel.

Well, the prosperity gospel is most definitely not of God and I am in no way in agreement with them. They are so far removed from what the things of God, I do not even pay attention or give any ear to it. However, there is a difference between praying for something selfishly versus say praying righteously. If a person truly is suffering and they call out to God, do you not believe God cannot deliver them out of their affliction? In Sodom and Gomorah, the Lord definitely heard their cries and he answered. So I do not see your line of reasoning that it is wrong that anyone who is thinking of suicide should not call upon the Lord so as to seek His love, and His peace, and His will for their life so as to give them a healing. God answers prayer; And those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength....

I don't read everyone's post once a thread is started. I also do not ask a person's intentions because there is a 101 different reaons they could be posting. Your OP was not being upfront about your situation. It made it sound different than what you are saying now. So now you are trying to make me look like the bad guy for not being able to read your thoughts and situation. But what I said still stands in regards to original post, though. We are not to point to how good we are. It is always Jesus we are to point to. It is His will that we seek. That is where the healing will begin (If we let go and let God). Whatever situation you are in despair about will melt away once you seek His plan and direction for your life (Thru prayer and thru reading His Word).

No I started the OP to help people. A lot of people on here got that. We are soooo off track from the OP it's not even funny

Not sure why people are all up in arms and upset at my suggeston in them to seek Jesus to heal them and for that person to seek His will for their life (if they are in a time of despair).
