I thought someone said that porn was eating.

I'll take the stuff on top, and you can have that steak below. (We can't eat red meat -- not because of any religious reasons, our digestive system complained enough that we heeded it. lol)

The only point I want to make is that porn sites use women that are commonly in desperate situations. Some are in slavery. I don't know about a lot of the things you talk about but one thing I'm sure of is that pornography is an abuse of women
In this day and age, you can always go with celebrity-home-movies porn. Not like there aren't enough to go around. They are desperate, but not in the way you mean.

If your not married and watch porn, who exactly are you cheating on? Cheating is an action, its when a married person commits adultery. Otherwise, I think its just lust, a desire that should not be in your heart if your married (except for your spouse). Jesus said "That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart" (Matthew 5:28)
. This expounded on the commandment; "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife" (Exodus 20:17). But how do you commit adultery if your single and the person you lust for is single? King David lusted for Bathsheba, which lead to adultery, this is why a married person should not be looking at naked women. By the same token, I imagine a single person looking at naked woman could lead to fornication. I suspect that a single person lusting for another single person is just normal attraction? Its in our genes and without it, none of us would probably be here. I better stop now, I'm starting to confuse myself :)
To answer your first question: God! Matter of fact, that's what sin is -- cheating on God.

As for David and Bathsheba, I'm always surprised the first thought about the pair is "adultery." I keep thinking it ought to be "murder." You don't set up a friend to get killed just to marry his wife.

The rest I agree with.

Paul says, “I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service.

If worrying about STDs is the only concern a spouse has with actual cheating, something is seriously wrong with the marriage to begin with.

I am saying there are Christian wives on this site, right now, today, considering leaving their husbands because the husband is into porn. I'm thinking that's as real as it gets, even if you think it doesn't define reality.
Yes, it is an issue of a lack of communication and love between both couples and a lack of a healthy focus on God and his ways.

So it's not sin, if the wife does't mind?
I didn't say that . I said that if your spouse objects then doing what upsets him/her is wrong whether or not it is sin.

If something is sin, it is sin regardless who allows it. My intent was to say that marriage, IMO, includes respect and concern for each other's feelings; or at least it should, IMO.

A person can quote Scripture to defeat temptation. Every time they think they might be tempted by someone who is pretty, they can say,

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want..."

A believer is supposed to pick up their cross and deny themselves continually.

They can also pray so as not to be led into temptation, too.

In my opinion, watching porn is a sin. Know, Matthew 5:28 is enough to let us that even that in adultery. Watching porn is worse, in my opinion. So yes, besides dishonoring the Lord, I also consider it, somehow, as cheating. However, I do also think that is not the same as a man (or woman) cheat his/her spouse physically with another person.

This can also lead to masturbation, in some way. Is it a sin, or just if the person imagines being with another person besides his spouse, while doing it?

Yes, I can see adultery as being exclusive to cheating on someone you are married with only. So yes, if it is a single person who lusts after a woman in their heart, it is more of a sin of fornication.

I didn't say you did say that. I was asking if you meant that. You answered. You didn't. I suspected you didn't, which is why I asked. And, yes, I agree with you. :D

Does anyone ever imagine it with their spouse? If they do, why imagine? He/she has the spouse. I consider masturbation porn-of-the-mind.

Interesting though. But, we all know that there may be cases were one of the spouses may not wish to make love for a considerable amount of time and yet, the other want...! So, would you think that even if that spouse masturbates and thinks about his/her spouse only, is a sin?

Porn should never be considered ok to watch whether in marriage or out... The word "porn" actually comes from the greek word "pornea" meaning fornication (sexual sin) So without knowing it porn stars or anybody who indulges in porn are actually calling themselves fornicators.. Its a demonic act that is inviting satan into our souls.. Before you know it you are addicted to it, You have a spirit of lust operating in your life and you cannot control the desire to masturbate or want to have sex.. The bible tells us not to give the devil a foot hold. Porn is opening a huge WELCOME SATAN door.. If your married this I believe this is just as bad as commiting adultery, It can wreck your marriage and destroy your life. I pray that you would receive this message in love. We will know the truth and the truth will set us free. Bless you all

I don't think so. I can't prove it scriptural, but IMO no. Again though, I'm not sure if there is such a person who can do just that. Then again, I don't go around asking everyone their private habits in life, so it really is just my opinion all the way around. lol

"The devil made me do it"? I thought this ended with Flip Wilson. Easier to say that than face the reality though.

Although I agree with the majority of your text, I do have a question:

- When your wrote "You have a spirit of lust operating in your life and you cannot control the desire to masturbate or want to have sex..." are you saying that those who are addicted to porn are, somehow, possessed by some evil spirit or by the devil? Or simply that the devil is able to have a great influence and power of these people?
