People who start threads like this really have no inner peace themselves.
Is that an actual fact?
If one urges others to be unspotted from the world and thus abstain from all evil it reveals one has no inner peace? What is your basis for that claim?
They will always carry around in themselves the great burden of never quite getting to their own sinlessness. It can only keep them in a bondage of guilt.
Says who? You?
If one is contending that people remain unspotted from the world and abstain from fleshly lusts it means they are carrying around a burden of being wicked? They are in bondage to guilt?
Honestly where does that kind of thinking come from? Instead of addressing the actual substance presented you resort to attacking the messenger and accusing them that they are actually filthy and in bondage.
What is this? High school?
And unable to really enjoy the great freedom and mercy of that which Christ has suffered out of love for them.
You mean enjoy the freedom and mercy found in the sin cloak you believe in that you think gives you a license to keep sinning.
Surely that is exactly what you mean. People like you argue in favour of the ongoing engagement in wickedness and yet you also proclaim that you have "freedom" because the blood of Jesus cloaks you as you engage in wickedness.
Isn't that right? Correct me if I am wrong.
It seems clear to me you are arguing in favour of SINFULNESS THAT NEVER ENDS and that the "freedom" you speak of is found in "trusting Jesus." Thus the difference between the wicked person who "trust in Jesus" and the wicked person who does not "trust in Jesus" is simply that "those who trust" have a CLOAK for the ongoing wickedness.
Forgetting the words of Christ: "Blessed are the spiritually poor - the kingdom of heaven is theirs."
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness - they will be filled."
That is not all Jesus said. Jesus also said blessed are the PURE IN HEART for they shall see God.
Mat 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Mat 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Mat 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Mat 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Mat 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Mat 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus was not arguing in favour of ongoing wickedness in His followers. Jesus was teaching about the brokenness wrought by a genuine repentance and the yielding to God it produces.
Paul spoke of it like this...
2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
2Co 7:11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
Godly sorrow, being poor in spirit, and hungering and thirsting after righteousness are associated concepts in the Bible. There is no ongoing wickedness is such things, the evil stops. God sets us free from sin, He doesn't leave us enslaved to its service.
