Please provide a specific example of your building with a dinosaur and ancient cloth with a dinosaur.

If someone a few thousand years ago found a skeleton of a T. rex, do you think they could have made a drawing from those bones?

Ok, but do you think it wise to double check?, perhaps you already have?, there is, or it appears to me, that there are conflicting viewpoints on the Genesis creation time period. I just look at as much information as i can possibly understand and try to discern truth from that, not always easy for me though, ha ha.

Reading Genesis One

READING GENESIS ONE is a book about God's creation. This book is a powerful tool for resolving creation issues in Christian witness. Why? Because its readers can study and understand the first 35 Hebrew verses of theBible directly, for themselves. They can free themselves from dependence on asserted "expert" opinion.



Why this approach? Because many arguments about the Bible and its agreement or disagreementwith the historical physical record are flawed. They are flawed because the Bible does not say that which the disputing parties claim. This may be either the Bible critic or the Bible advocate. In some cases both are arguing positions which are not in agreement with the biblical text.



Based on the substantiated verb and word use, this book establishes and explains that:

1. Genesis One does not say that the Earth is "young," i.e., about 10,000 years old. This fact is established independent of any interpretation about the length of the six "days" of creation.



2. The translation chosen for the Hebrew word "yom" is shown to not determine the age of the Earth, or the age of the universe. It is also shown that the time between the first "And God said" of Genesis 1:3 and the completion stated in Genesis 2:1 is not limited to 144 hours. An interval of 144 hours (six 24-hour days) is not a required consequence of interpreting the creative "yom" as six 24-hour days. When this fact is understood, many of the often encountered arguments are found to be pointless exercises.




3. Genesis One and the established physical history of planet Earth are not in conflict. There remains a conflict with the interpretations of Darwinism.

4. READING GENESIS ONE explains and critiques the typical arguments by which advocates of the "Young Earth" position arrive at their conclusion.

That is very good.

But the problem with bible interpretation is everyone has one.

Scientific evidence is an entirely different matter.

Now,carefully consider that if we are in the evening now,and ff to morning,we could not posibly get there w/o first having a night. (due to the obvious rotation of the earth.)

Therefore it would appear that God had this covered from the start (no pun intened)

This is really my biggest argument as well. God came into me as the Holy Spirit, forever ripping the veil. opening my eyes and heart, and showing me He is Truth and that Jesus is the ONLY hope any man has. It also showed me that the Bible is His word and I believe it word for word, that tends to happen when you KNOW God is real, in my experience at least. I can tell you one thing, I will take Gods word over anything a man says, and I don't care what letters are before or after their names. That's what's really important for mans salvation, not how old the earth is, or mocking people for that matter.

I understand what you are saying but what you said and the part i have quoted also depends on what is meant to be understood by the word 'scientific' and what is meant by 'evidence'.

It's a very important and serious undertaking to interpret the Bible and its true meaning, i'm glad i'm not in charge or someone who has to oversee it all.

But as that article pointed out or states,


the truth of the Bible is under serious attack based upon the claim, bysome, that the Earth is only about 6,000 to 10,000 years old.

Non-believers who decide to explore the Bible and the claims of Christ will typically start with the first page of the Bible. If the opponents of Christianity can impugn the truthfulness of the Bible on the first page, the claims of Christ may never be seriously considered.

Yes you are correct but the rest can only be interpretation of scripture, and of course interpretations is where the divisions occur amongst those that call or label themselves Christians.

2...there is a lack of -direct- evidence that dinosaurs and humans coexisted...for example the claims of overlapping human and dinosaur trackways or 'out of place artifacts' that are always dubious or unverifiable... however one evidence that dinosaur fossils are significantly younger than the 65 million to 250 million year date conventionally assigned to mesozoic strata is the presence of intact soft tissue being discovered in a small but increasing number of dinosaur fossils...

Before I delve into your post #768 where you cite discoveries of soft tissue, I have several comments on this post (#713).

You put it much milder than I would about the fossil footprints. Despite the lack of evidence you speak of, some YECs persist in foolishly using the footprints as a taking point. Viligant_Warrior did at he beginning of this thread and eternally-grateful did it recently.

Why don't YECs who know better correct other YECs who make this claim? Seems intellectually dishonest to me. YECs seldom challenge other YECs who make outrageous statements, at least on this thread. They just go on "Liking" absurd posts as long as they disagree with me. I find it quite amusing, actually.

The soft tissue issue is the one that interests me the most and I have read everything I can find on that issue over the last several years.

Just read the origional post (I usually do not like railing on people and try to stay out of those threads, but since this was so long thought I would see what all the hype was about)

So. his whole basis for slamming some guy is he said their were dino and human footprints found together (which there HAVE BEEN IN A FEW PLACES).

I am suprised this thread went anywhere at all. it was all based on something which was a false slander to begin with.

I challenged you several times to provide your evidence of dinosaur and human footprints, which you did not do. I can understand your reluctance based upon what Rachel wrote.
