I am sorry for your experience. I can't think of anything worst. it pains me to even respond,
But I do not think you can compare that with the God of the universe offering something. God covered their sin. No different than God raising Christ from the dead. He said that he had forgiven them, He continued to care for them, even though what they had just done (and kept doing in the way they reacted) tore at his very essence.
The only way he could do this, is if they had received him. God is not going to be mocked, and cover the sin of someone who does not want anything to do with him. He can not be fooled.
But I do not think you can compare that with the God of the universe offering something. God covered their sin. No different than God raising Christ from the dead. There are lots of unanswered questions here. Adam had fallen, his viewpoint was changed, he had accepted death.
He had walked with God, but now felt shame. So his heart had changed, he no longer walked in trust and communion with the Lord.
Adam was perfect in terms of sinless, until the fall. The question was could in his lifetime things be put right.
Did he truly understand he had done wrong, or just he had accepted death and destruction.
He could have taken of the tree of life, but was excluded from the garden. As he knew nothing, only God could give him a way back, but he did not. He would not save Adam, but he would save some of His offspring.

Does God Hate The Unsaved?
If God hated unsaved He would not give us His Son and so long period of Grace - the purpose is every one to be saved.
And it is not our business whom and how - we will respond only about ourselves. What have we done... and why have we done it after been saved! /because the salvation erase the previous and you are not longer sinner, right?
/ and what after that? not about unsaved but about saved who acts like unsaved?
