Hey Singles!

I have to admit.

I'm a little down and out today.

After all, I have faithfully followed all the instructions I was given and I've done all I can do.

I've tried to wait patiently, and I've done some really productive, meaningful things while waiting this long.

However... I'm just so, so tired... of waiting... Alas. I suppose this is all a test in order to teach me patience.

I mean, it's been a whole 15 minutes and the pizza I threw in the oven is still not done.

And I really wish I could have it NOW. Can you relate?

(I know we all sometimes become tired and discouraged in waiting for "the one"... but, just to lighten things up a bit and put a humorous spin on all our waiting, what OTHER things are you anxiously waiting for?)

A movie? Game? Job? Event? New phone? Windows 10? And, what are you doing in the meantime? :)

I'm waiting until I can get this response typed out so I can go to the freezer and get a slice of key lime pie.

Enough waiting, hit "Post Quick Reply" and it's pie time! :D :D

A dog. I will name him Alexander Poochkin and nobody will get it but that's okay. Maybe later this year or next summer, because it wouldn't be wise to get him now.

Mmmmm, now that I've (munch) taken care of that...

I'm reminded of this one guy at a nursing home. I used to go preach there once a week back when I had a second shift job. He was... not quite right in the head, but he was harmless. He'd make the same comments every day. One of his favorites was to say to the workers there, "I know what you're waiting for - quitting time and pay day!" One day I was on my way out and he said that to me. I had to inform him that the nursing home didn't give me a paycheck.

This is just the 5-year-old kid in me, but I'm actually waiting for The Minion Movie to come out.

I often have nostalgic ties to cartoon characters because they remind me of family members. Sometimes cartoons have been one of the few ways in which distant members of our family have connected. We don't get together often, so watching my parents, sibling's family, and their kids all giggle over The Minion's antics in the Despicable Me movies is a cherished memory.

My Mom even thought just the preview for the upcoming Minions Movie was hilarious so I'm hoping we can all watch this third film together, too.

However, I was a bit disappointed to see that my personal favorite ("Dave") does not appear to be one of the main characters. :(

I'm so tired of waiting for my braces to come off. Being the only adult in my orthodontist's office other than the staff is getting embarrassing.

I am also (im)patiently waiting for Olerica to start a mail-order business.

This way, I can order 5 of her cheesecakes and scarf them all down, er... I mean... delicately sample and critique each one... in the comfort (not to mention privacy) of my own home.

That way, no one can publicly judge me!!!

(I'm thinking I may have to keep the shades closed... just in case.)

I still like the way you are.

(And, if I´m granted to be alive next life, I hope we can bear one another).

:p

I'm waiting to find a full-time teaching job.

On a lighter note, I'm waiting for Jonathan Sarfati's new commentary The Genesis Account.
800+ pages covering Genesis 1-11! Aw, yeah!
(Apparently, South Australia will be the last place to get it though - sadness :( )

In the meantime I'm searching for jobs, refining my CV like nobody's business, networking, leading a Bible study (that's so not me) and reading lots of books (that's very much me).
