Every one who disagrees with them is lying.
My instinct is to shout, "Liar" to you, but I just can't. Sirk? Reborn? JIA? Sure, but not you. lol

Great topic. Very active thread. I'm not sure I could adequately "catch up" on the whole conversation, but:
basement theologians are real, and a real missionary field that needs to be reached.

We are called to gather together, as one of the baseline principles of fellowship and "communion".
We are not just to listen to a preacher, or discuss a topic, or read Scripture together, or sing together... BUT ACTUALLY EAT TOGETHER. To actually fellowship.
This isn't supposed to be a detached relationship, but a family relationship.

I'm not sure how to reach out to the lonely spiritualist,
but God surely does, and surely will reach out, using His People through His Spirit.

How healthy is a family that only communicates through texting and email?
Not healthy.

How healthy is a family that takes the time to eat together, regardless of differences and issues?
HEALTHY AND CONNECTED!

Such things take physical presence. The internet is not an acceptable alternative to local fellowship.

Well, when you figure out how and who may listen, be sure to let us know. In the meantime, can I forego holding my breath?

Hebrews 5:9-14 Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation, named by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek. About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing. For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food. For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby. But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
I think "broken record" is a good clue. So is an overabundance of "OSAS teachings."

Number 1 reason I've always talked hubby out of taking it to the mat. I don't want him arrested or killed. (Deep down I'm thinking, "he can take 'em.")

This reminds me of a joke. One day I was in the mall and I saw my MIL getting beat up by 7 people...my wife in panic looks at me and says...arent you gonna help? I turned to her and said...no....7 should be enough.

What is important to note in the popularity of this thread, is that this issue of isolationism definitely strikes a chord.
I have had bouts of it myself.
I have had many brothers that also have had to be dredged from the depths of seclusion.

There is a song called "no man island" that says it well.

What is the moral of this story, you know there is something wrong with oneself when you feel something is wrong but actually nothing has been shown to you. Just remember we are different not it must be spiritual, or they are just trying to fool me, or they are "lying" but in a truthful way.

I have faced people like this, it is called brainwashing, when you are certain of something though everything tells you it is not so. Unfortunately it is also the start of quite a lot of mental health conditions. This is why we need to deal with these guys gently...

There are ways that we think that are both in error and responsibly. The bible talks about things such as empathy as well as emotional intelligence overall. You can even for simplicity just call them attitudes. We all possess them. Let's take an example like someone has an attitude that everything is theirs to possess. This include, people places and things. Going along with this are some subcategories or "fruit" if you will of someone who has a possessive attitude.

The truth is that thinking errors and their corresponding "steps to responsible thinking" could be really great study for someone who wanted to dig deep and root out some glitches in your operating system. I know I still have em.

Matriarchal Blond here de-sending with cookies it seems as though I have been summond....lol Cookie?

I know'd it, know'd it, the blond was lurking, with cookies! Tell you want, I should probably keep a pen and paper handy, when watching TV, to write down the number to get diabetic supplies delivered, for future reference. "The blond taketh them up into an exceeding large kitchen, and sheweth them all the cookies of the world..."
