What kind of person is so twisted in their heart that they rape children in the Name of Jesus Christ and use Him for a cloak and cover for their evil...(what Jesus do they know, they don't know Jesus Christ!) do you really think these people are going to get forgiveness because they make some pretense of a confession as a catholic.... There is no evidence that any of these monsters have ever done anything but try to hide their crimes behind the Lord and to suggest that others must for give them.... If you guys really think God is mocked by the pretense of confession, and not a real heart change... you guys are missing a whole lot about who the Lord is.

1Jo 2:18 ¶ Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
what planet are you on? A great deal of these disturbed men are in jail. I doubt seriously that any of them commited their crimes in the name of Jesus. You have a screwed up view of confession since a real confession requires contrition and genuine sorrow for your sins. You are just another Catholic hater with no real idea about the faith, just like so many others. I will stop now since this is not for this thread.

No ...most of them are still raping children in third world countries, where the RCC has enough power to cover things up or have been hidden away by the Vatican...All these monsters used the name of the Lord and the pretense of doing His work to gain access to children to rape. The poor children, thinking they represented Christ in some way...These people are the very reason God had to make a hell.

And this issue would have never came up if you had not been trying to boast in how godly the RCC was. Well they are not and its clear they are not!

I've listened to Joyce M. for years, more years than I have been on CC. Poor Joyce! :) she has been accused with so many false accusations and basically from the very same group of people on these forums. Whenever her name comes up here., the same people are in the wings waiting to make sure they fry her.

But she is "out there" and CC is not the only place where she has critics. It's just a shame so many people who condemn her know nothing about her except what small blurbs from youtube they can post. And those who claim to be highly educated and wisest among us are the worst of her critics while they post outdated mis information from youtube or quote her out of context. I've seen it done a million times and am always surprised.

God has blessed her and continues to bless her and uses her to bless others. Wow., what a legacy for a woman of God to leave.

Below is a quote from Joyce Meyer. The words speak more than anything else where she is

I’m going to tell you something folks, I didn’t stop sinning until I finally got it through my thick head I wasn’t a sinner anymore. And the religious world thinks that’s heresy and they want to hang you for it. But the Bible says that I’m righteous and I can’t be righteous and be a sinner at the same time … All I was ever taught to say was, ‘I’m a poor, miserable sinner.’ I am not poor, I am not miserable and I am not a sinner. That is a lie from the pit of hell. That is what I was and if I still am then Jesus died in vain. Amen?
Joyce is absolutely right, and in alignment with God's word.

The phrase
"I am not a sinner. That is a lie from the pit of hell"

How could any christian ever say such a thing. The best you can say is the sins you now do are not seen as sins by Gods grace working in you, you have Christ righteousness, but to deny your actual sin is stupid. Now you can walk sinlessly, but that is probably only to be understood when we meet Jesus, but if there is sin in your life, you are a sinner.

It is not a lie from anywhere, it is reality. The hope is empowered by love a changed heart we will not sin anymore, but that is it.

I would never trust any teacher ever who uttered these words, because the Lord they are describing is not Jesus the God of holiness and perfection.
Every Christian can say that! That is, if they know who they are in Christ, and understands even a little bit how God sees them!

If you haven't read my thread about leaving the televangelists, then I will sum it up: I'm leaving cause they just are false teachers. They act like they're sinless, and they're not. I know I've been sticking up for Joyce here, but, one member made me think about this, and I'm in the end walking away. Onto something else I am wanting to say:

if they were to buy a $50,000 house and a used car, then maybe, just maybe I'd like them a tiny bit more. And if they weren't the sinless people they claim to be, then fine. If they said they have sins, but are working on them, I'd believe them more. Anyway... I'll let y'all dish it out.
How easily one is distracted away from what is real and right. I find it pretty concerning for one's mind to be changed by lies about money and about their character. Joyce never claims to be sinless. That's just another lie the gullible fall for out of the real desire to elevate one's own sense of worth and rightness. It's very shallow and easy to see through.

I'm not going back on my word. I'm not going to be branded a liar. It's just seriously, SERIOUSLY I've prayed about this and God said to not be a fan of these people since they teach falsities. I know you don't believe that, but that's what He said. And yea, it was people telling me the bad things about them. They're trying to be helpful by helping me wean the bad people out. How wrong is that? Not wrong in my book.
That wasn't God talking. It was the enemy reinforcing the "people telling me the bad things about them."

Listening to gossip is just as much as sin as repeating it!

Wanted to post this Joyce M. cut and paste that shows a little bit of what the woman is really like. My friend and I watched this tonight and were laughing and also edified by the message she preached about personal integrity and how she learned it in her struggling days before she went into a world wide ministry. I enjoy Joyce's regular kinda person attitude. It's not a big mystery why the Lord has blessed her and her family as they have been used to minister to so many people. She truly has taken her mess and made it her message. God bless her. Amen

Every Christian can say that! That is, if they know who they are in Christ, and understands even a little bit how God sees them!
This is where we part company.

Jesus said blessed are those who mourn. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.

The world is full of happy people making do, ignoring sin, denying failure and rejoicing in what they are doing everyday.
"Eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die."

It is sin and our failure that is the root cause of death in this world. "But by the grace of God go I" is a phrase used for centuries which acknowledges circumstance often drives our morality, which we so easily abandon when things get tough.

Yes I can rejoice in being a child of the Living God, but I have no joy when I fail, or pride that still I stumble.

Will I ever know when I walk pleasingly in the sight of the Lord? No, but until that day I rest on christ and the cross that washes me clean as snow.

For me the fact you suggest it is wrong to not say such a statement, and everyone must not be see how God sees them is badly mistaken.

"You come to the help of those who gladly do right, who remember your ways.
But when we continued to sin against them, you were angry.
How then can we be saved?
All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags;
we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.
No one calls on your name or strives to lay hold of you;
for you have hidden your face from us and have given us over to our sins."
Isaiah 64:5-7

Is the church doing well or dying? Is pornography and immorality sweeping away vulnerable people into the pit of despair?
Is escapism and running away from the emotional reality within the biggest pursuit of most?
Is the most popular programs vain hedonism, filthy, crude, the basest of relationship issues the thing people talk about?
Are marriages failing and people betray each other at the drop of a hat?

Yet from this culture you think a people have risen with righteousness as their goal and their pride?
Blind guide, lost in ones own elation and hypocracy.

The world searches for success, power and money, and any church which does likewise is as worldly as the world itself.

If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
John 15:19

When the world loves you, run, for you have denied your Lord.

Amen sis FancyNancy!! That is the problem, many Christians do not know who they are in Christ. We are the righteousness of God IN Christ. Amen. We are now new creations in Christ, born again, made new...old things are passed away behold all things have become new! When God sees us He sees Christs righteousness. Righteousness is received as a gift, not earned.

Hebrews 4:10-11 ...he who has entered his rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest...

"How well we walk depends on how well we sit and rest in Christ finished work. Today there are still believers who still cannot believe that the work of Jesus is truly complete and finished. They are trying to complete a completed work, finish a finished work and defeat a defeated devil." JP

If you are a born again believer, you are righteous in His sight and no longer a lost sinner but a saint., a son and a daughter of the Most High God.

When we have been saved from sin's strong pull, we are free! God doesn't see us as sinners. We are saints. As new creatures in Christ, we need to change our view as we see ourselves and adopt what God sees and actually says about us.

Those who consistently declare themselves as woeful sinners saved by grace are actually pushing a false humility. It's kind of hard to rise up and be the salt of the earth and the bright light of the world when we are speaking out of the side of our mouths that we are miserable sinners, but saved by grace at the same time. No...we are overcomers for Christ and we need to rise up and present ourselves as how He sees us to the lost world who is doing the hungering and thirsting for righteousness, and freedom from sin and not to mention...pretense.

Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord.
Jer 23:16

The visions of your prophets were false and worthless; they did not expose your sin to ward off your captivity. The prophecies they gave you were false and misleading.
Lam 2:14

A teacher is only good if what they teach leads to righteousness.

The way of the world is we cannot be any better than we are, so let us make the best of a bad job, rather than break down in repentance, bow the knee and acknowledge our deep need of love and grace to work through us.

The fact this is the issue at dispute demonstrates the bankruptcy of this movement. Those who argue against the failure of mankind have just signed up to the enemies agenda.

False humility? Humility is about admiting ones failure, the fact we do not deserve praise or self value, but only value in the actions of Jesus and us following Him. Love and meeting needs is the goal, it is being salt of the earth, it is being a bright light, it is the thing that says going for a buzz for its own sake leads to death.

There is nothing false about this, this is reality. The way you are talking is literally against the whole of christian experience and practise. It is hypocracy because it assumes you walk as you should do, which I know I do not, and is painfully difficult.

What you are saying is being a christian is being a failure, which does not look good for the brand image.
What I am saying is this is our state, we are so far from God and success, this is the only starting place.
A key spiritual term used for centuries is brokenness, a sense of abject poverty in front of infinite love and holiness.
That is where we will always be, because we are not God, but we need Him like we need water, and air, and food.

I know the price of continual condemnation without praise, love and thanks is as dead as praise and rejoicing without knowing our own failure, but they are both true at the same time.

What you are rejecting is piety, but are only replacing it with the world.

Poppycock. Your accusations are completely unfounded.
Do you not see, I am not making accusations, I am just stating spiritual reality.

Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
1 Tim 6:9

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
1 Tim 6:17

Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.
1 Tim 6:18

The fact you cannot even answer this spiritual reality, demonstrates how blind you are. Emotional intelligence is part of spiritual maturity, yet to not see the problem with excessive exuberance without humilty is to miss the gospel itself.

In the flesh there is nothing wrong with me, how dare you suggest I fail in anything, in the Spirit, I am a man undone, all I do is flawed and selfish, riven with my own understanding and not bent to the will of God.

If this struggle is not in you, then you have not really begun to understand the problem of the heart and its self deception.

Humility - a command from God

All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
1 Peter 5:5

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
James 3:13

Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ, and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
Eph 3:7-9

Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind.
Col 2:18

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Col 3:12

The truth of the matter is this: A Christian needs to learn to accept himself the way God now sees him, or he will continue on in self-deprecation, referring to himself as "just a poor sinner saved by grace". That is false humility. Jesus died to give us His abundant life, and to make us conquerors over sin and to equip us with His ability to do the works of Christ in the world, as the true leaders in this world. True leaders don't consider themselves less than they are. They KNOW who they are and walk through life accordingly.

Know who you are in Christ and take up His standard in the battle.
