Galatians 5 is about christian liberty

The whole book of Galatians is Paul speaking to them of how they have left walking in the true gospel of Christ, to walking in a false gospel brought in by false teachers. Apostle Paul is warning them that if they continue to walk by justification of the law and not return to the true gospel. They will not receive remission of their sins through Christ, and therefore have fallen and no longer under Gods grace.

Hebrews 10:38 is a parallel scripture to this in what Paul was saying, and shows those that drawback to a sinful lifestyle are headed to perdition, which means spiritual death in the lake of fire !!!

It is written Psalm 10:4 “The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.” And also here in Psalm 59:12 “For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.”

Pride
is like scales that cover the eyes of the carnally minded man that cannot see the spiritual things of God. It is written of Saul in
Acts 9:1 “And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord…”

But the Lord Jesus would be revealed to Saul and ask Saul why he persecuted Him by persecuting his disciples. And then Saul would be made blind for 3 days until he received the Holy Ghost. But what I want you to see here is how it is described when Saul received his sight here in
Acts 9:18 “And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.”

I believe this wording of the
scales falling from the eyes is very important clue to see how the children of pride are blind until the Spirit of God anoints their eyes so they can see. In Job chapter 41 we see a sea beast called Leviathan which is a symbolism of the Red Dragon working in the many waters of humanity as shown in the book of Revelation. Notice in Job it says his scales are his pride….

Job 41:15 “His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.” He is also shown as the king of the children of pride. Job 41:34 “He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.”

The locust army in Revelation also had a king over them….
Revelation 9:11 “And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. And Abaddon translated=destruction

And even so the children of
pride like a swarm of locust go before destruction
Proverbs 16:18Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”

It is written Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low. Those who have ears to hear, let them hear what the Spirit is saying.

well now this thread is pretty new, but already @ 29 pages, so I'll just address the op here if that is ok

who are the wicked here InSpirit? I know this is in scripture and scripture has other things to say about pride and the wicked, but with particular reference to your opening sentences...that I have quoted separately...who are the wicked being addressed BY scripture that YOU seem to be addressing with the rest of the op?

I'm asking, because I am really not sure what you are saying here?

and please, I know this is a public forum, and I know y'all have been squirreling around for low these 29 pages, but I'm a beginner in this thread, so have mercy and let me get it straight from the op and thank you kindly

How is it a false accusation if you believe a person can be saved and still commit suicide? Are you saying you don't believe that now? Cannot someone misunderstand you when you say this and do the wrong thing because of this belief?

That is not true repentance. One cannot do a particular sin while asking to be forgiven of it. That could mean we can do any kind of sin we like as long as we ask for forgiveness for it during the act. I mean, is an axe murder truly sorry when he says to God that he seeks to be forgiven as he chops off someone's head? No.

No, you are looking at the worldy explanation and not what God's Word says. Suicide is a sin that you cannot repent of (If you stay dead).

No way. This is what the passage says,

"Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man defiles the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."

In other words, the context is the Spirit of God dwelling in a person and we are not to destroy the temple in which he lives in.

I am not sure if tattoos actually lessons a person's life. But if it came to a point where by doing so did threaten their life and or put it at risk (Whereby they didn't care if it did), then I would see this as a problem. For painting gang signs on your Temple is not the same as taking a sludge hammer or a tank and trying to knock the temple down.

We know the Bible cannot contradict itself. If we know that a person cannot repent of suicide and they stay dead, they cannot be forgiven of such a sin, then we know that the passage you are talking about is not in reference to "all" sin an exhaustive scale. Jesus was referencing sin in general. If Jesus were to also bring up
suicide, it would have confused the issue or point he was trying to make in regards to blasphemy.

That is your understanding that a person can't, but it is not the truth !!!

Like I said go do a study on depression and suicide then we can talk, because until you get that concept understood you will still be drowning in a lie perpetuated by the RCC !!!

Around and around we go !!!

You are referring to habitual sinning, as if a person keeps doing it with no repentance or no true repentance then they are in habitual sin.........................................

The whole concept of 1 John 2:1 is about future sins committed by a believer, that when confessed the advocate our Lord Jesus Christ will forgive them. Do not take 2:1 out of the equation !!!
This does not give a free reign to sin then confess then sin again, but it does do as I have said previously that if a believer does stumble and confess they will be forgiven rather you like it or not.

And Lord Jesus made a showing that you can not put a limit on how many times this is acceptable, so you can not say well this person did it 5 times so they are saved but this person did 25 so they are not saved. Jesus put a unreachable number on times repentance can be made.
Do you honestly think repentance is just confession only? That there does not need to be any kind of change? That is what it sound like here. Beleivers have to walk in the light as he is in the light in order for the blood of Jesus to cleanse them of all sin (1 John 1:7).

Also, Paul says, sin shall not have dominion over you. How is your belief consistent with that?

Also Jesus says if you sin, you are a slave to sin. Did Jesus say this favorably to the Pharisees?

Yes, I know 1 John 1:9 can be a believer's lifeline if they struggle with sin. But it is not a license to sin by saying that we will always sin the rest of our lives. Believers are overcomers in Christ. Sin shall not have dominion over them if they continue to walk in Christ.

No, I was not a part of the RCC like you were, my friend. I only go by what the Word of God says. 1 John 3:15 says no murderer has eternal life abiding in them. Suicide is self murder. God's Word also says if you destroy the temple God will destroy you. This is in context of God living in us.

First.....all of your polls are bait and switch. You take deep issues and turn them black and white. Void.
So you are saying people voted wrongfully in the poll? That they really do not believe that they can die in unrepentant sin such as lying and still be saved? Why don't you try asking them personally if that is the case? Do you even care to ask them?

Second....l know who you are, l've seen that you've spilled your Gospel of no hope across the internet. Bravo. You are driven.
There is hope in the true gospel. But people do not want it, though. You label it falsely as a gospel of no hope because you do not understand it.

What does any of the nonsense y'all are bickering back and forth about have to do with pride? Can't any of you behave in one thread?

Habitual murderer with no repentance my friend !!!

Most people that commit suicide do ask for forgiveness in the process of this sad taking of their life.
You once again as always takes and makes repentance to only be something that can be done down the line, this is absolutely not true. Stop trying to place this title of murderer on a person who has no supporting cast around them to help them when they have fallen this far in depression.

I have already discussed and told you what destroying the body for it is the temple means;

Do you have those who get tattoo's condemned as well ???

My professional opinion is that it is an invalid moniker. But I haven't seen you with your kids, either. It is a compound name, so perhaps the first half of the persona only applies when the second half of the persona is activated

funny guy :)

do you have children? because sometimes mine are a bit like this:

in a min.jpg

(yes, even as adults... LOL)

Yes by faith, but what some forget to teach and preach on is that Jesus, Paul, Peter, James, and John all state and show that the justification is do to an active faith; Not a inactive faith !!! Notice how in each time the bible describes the justification it does not just stop at the word faith, for it says by faith they were justified when they did this...............

Showing that the justification comes from being obedient in the faith, and the bible clearly says what happens to those who are disobedient to the faith. Read Luke 12:43-48 / The Disobedient Servant

It does say

Proverbs 28:25 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife:
but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.

Then when you watch what enters in behind while posting on the topic of pride, the stirrers began

I disagree. A believer who once struggled with murder cannot think that he will kill again but he will be forgiven just because he will repent of it later. Now, if he struggles with sin, that is another issue. But to pre-meditatively plan to sin or to murder (all while thinking he can just confess and be forgiven of it) is another issue.

Look. Murder is taking a life that is not in God's will. Murder is taking a life (Whether it be your life or your own life). The person being murdered does not change the crime.

I have already discussed and told you what destroying the body for it is the temple means;
And you are wrong because the context of the verse right before it says that God dwells in you. That is the context.

Do you have those who get tattoo's condemned as well ???
I was hoping you would understood what I said in my previous post on this point; Anyways, the answer would be a.... "no." For are people committing sucide or hurting their health severely by getting tattoos?

I say the same about you, bro. Well, me and about 5 thousand others that debate you.
You seem a bit confused on what you teach? You contradict yourself daily. Your foundation is crumbling. You're slipping, man.

What does any of the nonsense y'all are bickering back and forth about have to do with pride? Can't any of you behave in one thread?

Jsr,
You're a cool guy. I never know what to say to these types of wasted posts.

They always sound like one is judging others who are judging.

I know you're gonna hate to hear this, but just stop reading them if they irk you so badly.
Simple solution, brother.

okaaay...I guess...so, regarding the following quote also from your op:

It is written Psalm 10:4 “The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.” And also here in Psalm 59:12 “For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.”

are you comparing carnal and spiritual Christians and are you calling carnal Christians wicked?

still trying to really understand here

I did answer you. You are under the assumption that I need to go to an OSAS church (Which is what most churches today believe). However, do you not know that narrow is the way that leads unto life and few be there that find it?

Also, you assume that command applies to going to an actual church building when that is clearly not what it is talking about in regards to fellowship (Because no actual churches that we have today existed back then). In other words, what I am trying to say is that you cannot fellowship be with other believers in a home or online or at work?

You seem to be under the view that the church buildings of today existed back then and that believers did not meet up in people's homes and on missionary journies together.
i didn't notice you addressing the sin aspect of forsaking assembling, no.

one can certainly fellowship in a home church.
there ought still be some kind of leadership structure, though, and accountability to people outside it.
one cannot properly (in NT commands way) have all their fellowship online or at work... that's bad form.

so, just to clarify, what you're saying is you're part of a home church with elders and a teacher and some outside form of accountability?
