Pr 10:22 ¶ The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

Ac 4:9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

Ac 4:14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
15 ¶ But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Persecution comes because people are healed, not because they are sick, and true godliness is not having a religious "form" but power.

Don't bother me if you think that...without doubt he had an infirmity because He was so powerful...not because He didn't have the power of God to heal, but because he had in effect come to a place that God wanted him to be more dependent upon His grace.... Now are you claiming that you or anyone else on this forum has attained to the place of power that Paul had attained? And it don't matter anyway if God chose to deal with Paul in this way (whatever you believe) because all the promises of God are yes and amen in Christ Jesus, those promises are not based upon Paul but on Jesus Christ.
Ah, a slice-and-dicer then? Someone who takes what he wants to believe and ignores the rest.

Speaking of "don't bother," Don't bother trying to convince Christians of this self-created god you have.

Was it that hard to answer your own question? Apparently, since you spent quite a few post not answering, and even now are vague enough that it simply no longer matters.

Paul wasn't sickly.
I've explained this before the last time you charged me with going against the Bible. Gave a whole article about it. (One I wrote, so it wasn't like I was giving anyone else's words on the subject.)

Question for you? Why did you want to be friends with me, if you had no intention if listening to me at all? I don't mind someone disagreeing with me, but when all you do with someone you consider a friend is tell her she's a liar, not much of a friendship there.

No friendship now.

That's just peachy with me. I'm not fickle about friendship, though.

So, you believe Paul was a sickly man and because of the weight of the revelation given to him, he was not equipped by Holy Spirit and the knowledge of God to be able to appropriate his own healing? This is what the word of God teaches us! Why would Paul, who contributed to the majority of the New Testament not be able to do what he preaches?

No, I put the truth in its clear and evident context...and the clear and evident promise of God abide, even if some cannot bear the endurance it takes to believe.

Heb 4:1 ¶ Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

How many times have I studied Job? I do find it uneasy to learn how God allowed Job to be tested that he might glorify God. Was it loving of God to put Job through all the trials satan wrought against Job?

Is God sovereign? Sovereign over man? Sovereign over nature?

Does God owe you anything?

What do you have that God did not give to you?

For the cause of Christ

2Co 9:6 ¶ But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

We don't seek the blessing of God for our own lust, we seek the blessing so we have abundance to give to those in need. (for every good work) do some of you not understand the desire to help others and seek the ability from God to bless those have great need....this is love!

Yes, this is love, but the person who wrote this was ILL the whole time. was POOR the whole time (he was so poor he had to make tents just to get his daily needs met so no one could say he was robbing people of his money (like some churches do)
thus what does this do to your argument, that God wishes us all to be wealthy and healthy?

God supplying our needs to serve others may just be an illness or being poor and having to rely on him solely for our needs.

not Gods will?

Was it not God, who when paul begged him to remove it from him (his sickness) who said my grace is sufficient for you)

I have seen a lot of post lately that would suggest that some believe God wants believers to be poor and sick....Now I know some are trying to counter what they believe is false teaching, but you cant throw away the blessings and promises of God, just because you believe someone is misusing the truth.

"The blessing of the Lord maketh rich and adds no sorrow".... Its absolute biblical truth that can be defended point by point.

"by His stripes, we are healed" ..is absolute biblical truth that can be defended point by point.

Now if anyone wants to be sick and poor, I will pray for you :)

If anyone wants to discuss these issue in a godly and respectful way? I will be glad to have that discussion :)

(about to go to work) so it might be later

There is this:

Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of thir liberality. 2Cor.8:1,2

Clearly these people were not rich but they gave with joy what they could afford because as Paul said:

for God loveth a cheerful giver. 9:7b and we are to "purposeth in his heart" 9:7a what we believe we can afford.

To believe that God wants to bless everyone with un-bridled weath is not "balanced" thinking.

No Paul was not sick and poor...He had power to heal and power take wealth even from the church....but he did not use that power.

Ac 14:9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
Ac 28:8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
Ac 28:9 So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:

Healing and the blessing of God is not based upon the person of Paul, its based upon Jesus Christ, and every promise of God is yes and amen in Him.

My friend you just missed the point of that passage altogether, the point was that they went from poverty and abounded unto riches.

2Co 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Clearly the context is the grace and blessing of the Lord in finance, and im not sure what unbridled wealth means to you, but we should be blessed to the point we can help others in need. That means an abundance

Amen! People who make the bogus claim that somehow Paul was beset by illness need to believe that in order to preach the lie that it is God's will that any of us be sick!

If it is God's will for us to be sick, then why do these same people defy God's will and go to the doctor????

No my friend I didn't. The Macedonians were in distress, yet they contibuted to the relief of others. They were in a great trial of affliction in great poverty. Just like the widow and her mite.

And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living. Mark 12:43.44

2Co 8:6 Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.
7 ¶ Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.
8 I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.
9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Yea if they really believe its Gods Will...why are they trying to get out of Gods Will? They don't believe that nonsense is why they are trying to get well and work good jobs etc...

Finance? Hardly. It isn't that God will just bless us financially, God would also increase the fruits of the earth that they not only have bread sufficient for one year, but, enough to sow again for the future supply.

God can bless us in many was besides financially.
