Anything I might have to say further about Wommack and his followers would closely mirror my new thread, "The heresies of the few."

Seriously, brothers and sisters in Christ, these heretics aren't going to be convinced. They've adopted the doctrines of men and don't want to hear or see the truth. Join me in simply refusing to give them an audience.

The Apologetics Index on Wommack certainly exposes his false teachings. He has strayed far from Biblical Christianity.

I would not bother to spend the time and energy listening to some teacher who people here have posted enough links to know that he is a false teacher involved in a false cult - the Word of Faith.

I studied Kenyon and Copeland back in the 80s when my friend got involved in their ministries and she gave me the books. It freaked me out as a young Christian, especially her condemnation of me when I got sick with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Then she got breast cancer, refused treatment, claimed healing, appropriated healing, believed for her healing and died 10 momths later when the cancer metastasized.

My friend is all the real life "feeling" experiences I need to know as to why this cult is so wrong. And when people post links to these people, I see why the movement is a lie and deceiving people.

Wommack is a humanist, almost an atheist in his treatment of God as NOT being sovereign and humans being in control. I don't need context to see that his teaching is a doctrine of demons.
That just shows how little you know and how you actually rely on some internet site compiled by unknowns most likely with all sorts of biases you know nothing about, rather than the discernment of the Holy Spirit. Fleshly judgment causes one to remain right where he/she is in their walk with God, when He wants people to access His discernment. But...I guess it's just a real mark of spiritual strength and integrity to lie about others, eh?

I find it completely shocking that so many people who call themselves Christians can find it so easy to label people as heretics, when they refuse to find out the real situation for themselves, but would much rather listen to others' uneducated and also contrived opinions. Now, that is a perfect pitrie dish for hereticism right there. Blind leading the blind.

Your post makes no sense. My site? Another false allegation. What kind of discernment do you have anyways?

I have no site.

crossnote, this is the site you keep referring to and the one you have posted more than a number of times. This is the site that condemns Christians like me who speak in tongues and believe in miracles and grace along with many other topics we as Christians discuss and often disagree about here on CC., but I have never called you or anyone here a cultist. Unfortunately that cannot be said about you or this site you continually post.

The "apologetic s index" you post is not in line with all of my beliefs.. ,

2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Peter 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

Titus 1:7-16 For the overseer must be above reproach as God's steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain, but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled, holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict. For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not teach for the sake of sordid gain. One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said, "Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons." This testimony is true.
For this reason reprove them severely so that they may be sound in the faith, not paying attention to Jewish myths and commandments of men who turn away from the truth. To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.

2 Peter 2:1-3 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in
damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

That can be talking about any here who are resistant to the truth and who regularly cast aspersions at people who are carriers of it. They are so busy pointing bony fingers at known believers that they cannot see the remaining digits pointing back at themselves. It's just plain pride.

1 John 2:16
For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.

It amazes me that JesusIsAll posts nothing but the Bible and ONLY the Bible and you accuse him of pride and pointing fingers.

Do you even read the posts that other people write??

It's the old "attack the messenger" card, when that pesky truth gets a little too close. It's like the Bible is a page from a newspaper, over what's really going on here.

I posted it twice along with another. I could have posted 50 different sites exposing Wommack.
I have no affiliation with the site. Why don't you refute it with Scripture if it bothers you so much?

I don't care what the name of your particular church is, but I am curious as to who has been teaching and influencing you.
I'm glad you ask. You see although I align closer to some teachers more than others, there is no one person I agree wholly with. As I compare Scripture with a person's teaching I hold to what aligns with Scripture and throw out the rest. I am not beholden to any teacher in such a way that if he is exposed to false teaching or immoral behavior I lash out at others who did the exposing. That is a mark of a cult.

OK, so you are self-taught and do not go to church, or have a pastor. Gotcha.

If this is how your logic goes then it's no wonder you fall prey to false teaching.

First of all I do have a pastor...bad conclusion.
2nd of all I do go to Church (just because I refuse to list it doesn't mean I don't have one.
3rd of all I am not self taught. I have gleaned from the teachings of others...at Church, books, some radio teachers, friends and hey, even from some here on CC.

What I have learned though is Acts 17:11 with all the teachers.

Ok, I'm done here as I see there is no substance.

I've somehow just come to realise that someone wouldn't have woken up the long-time sleeping thread lol!

Nevertheless, still I hope we're getting something out.

I have not ever had any false teaching, as all of my teachers in my entire life have been, quite amazingly, anointed men and women of God's choosing, and I praise God for this great gift of His often...so your ability to make good judgments about people is woefully lacking.

I am glad that you have shared this. Thank you.

Women do not have the gift of pastor teacher. They may teach other women and children, but it is always under the authority of the male pastor of a local assembly.

None of us can say..........we have never had false teaching. When I found a teacher who actually had the GIFT of pastor teacher, the first 3 years was unlearning the false teachings that I had been taught.

I happen to have the gift of teacher, and I also have had a position as a lay pastor or cell leader in my church. Your are promoting a false interpretation of scripture that Paul never meant to be made by people reading his letters.

The Lord Jesus Christ has attended to me and my development by making sure I had excellent, anointed teachers all my life. I am sure that sounds rather self-aggrandizing, but it is the way He has worked in my life and I am so very grateful, because more and more these days I am seeing how rare that is. I am blessed, and not through anything I have done, but what the Lord has so graciously done for me and my family, even before me. What a wonderful Saviour, indeed.

Listen to him more than once and you will know that Wommack is a very good expounder of the word. People here who are against him are against him without even taking in his weekly program...and even one poster here has jumped on the same bandwagon having not even heard of him before the thread was opened!!! What is the wisdom fueling that?? You cannot make a wise judgment by YouTube. Take in just one of his teaching series, and then make an informed decision. Those who do not, well, they are just whistling in the wind, in my books.
I have listened to him a number of times. We do get his program where I live and because of my brother's interest, I did listen to him. I have gone online and listened to him.

I'm getting pretty tired of you doing your very best to make this all personal. No one is agasinst mr Wommack

What YOU seem to have a hard time grasping, is that we are FOR truth...and what you believe is true, may just happen to suit you but you really cannot line up some things Wommack says with regards to the truth

I don't care about people jumping on the bandwagon either...because that is NOT an excuse for anyone else to behave in a certain way

The wisdom is listening...Proverbs even says so. I have listened and sought God...probably more so then in other cases because of the personal side in my case

You have no case against me with youtube....so cut it out. It does not appear to me that you are being quite rational.

Well, yah know, the wind blows where it will....sometimes it rustles the trees overhead and sometimes it is very still and watching as those who should know better run after something that sounds good, but is not good.
