I don't know many Christians (and I know thousands) who, if they were a member of a Christian forum, would actually deliberately open a thread to praise another leader in the Body of Christ in the way you imagine. We encourage the brethren, but we do not need to single anyone out for exorbitant praise. Only Jesus gets the praise.

Your rather childishly expressed disdain for certain people and groups is obvious, and that smacks of what the bible warns us of being---namely, sectarian or partial.
LOL! Spot on. :)

A soft word turneth away wrath, but i tried that too a wasjumped in posts and ignored so i stopped posting lol
Perhaps being better Biblically informed would help. . .less defending of the non-Biblical.

Or perhaps at least knowing that oneself is somewhat uninformed would help.

Are all opinions equal?

You're definitely nicer than me. I grew up in a world where you had to push back. If you didn't you'd get run over. It's my default position.
But you've grown, even the short time ive known you. You've stopped and prayed, and waited for that still small voice. That alone is awesome.

I get it man...and I am sorry if I caused you pain. I really mean that. In the end all of us want to be significant and to matter. That is what community is about. We just have to get to....we matter because Jesus says we matter. Living in a community with the common cause of modeling Jesus to a broken world is what should make us feel like we matter.
Amen to this, Brother!

I have only had what I consider a minor issue with you at that time.
I was already dealing with a lot on my plate when I put you on ignore, and I think for the most part it had to deal with you were siding with those couple I have a major issue with on here.

There are those that don't agree with me on here, but for the most part the debating still stays friendly and respectful.
There is only 3 on here now that have constantly got under my skin by how they have treated me and others. Not one of them has ever apologized to me, and constantly refuse to admit that they might be the one who is wrong. Instead they act as if they are never wrong and accuse others of being false teachers.

I would at least like to hear them say one time at least; Let me look into what you have said.
At least then it would show they have an open mind and are not just shutting everybody out, because they believe every whim and word that was taught to them by another individual.....Test the spirits, test the spirits !!!
Only 3? LOL I'm thinkin of a higher number. :)

I really don't think I will be sticking around. Thanks for the advice though.
I would encourage you to stick around. Change is comin', and a good change at that.

I believe all opinions are valid and equal, pride is what says mine is better....if we disagree, then high five and leave a thread.

And if there's no knowledge, then bow out, dont debate

Please re frame from the personal attacks. When I posted my message it was to everyone on this forum not just a certain group. If you hate me so much please put me on ignore but stop with the attacks. You are really showing your maturity level at this point.
You wandered into a brood of vipers friend, and they LOVE TO HATE!

People also have this notion that listening to someone is the same as agreeing with them.

That's true, personalities clash....come on adult people dealing 101....if you're here to edify, and push others closer to the Lord then be responsible for ones self in doing so. As individuals we can not control others, what they think or believe, so listen and if you know there's a brick wall.....let it go, pray

Only 3? LOL I'm thinkin of a higher number. :)

There is 3 that I have serious issues with, the rest even though we may constantly disagree still stay respectful and keep the debate friendly. I don't have a problem with them if they act properly when speaking to me.

I may not like how their understanding is in the word, but if they can remain friendly then we can talk about God's word the way it is meant to be. If they want to be disrespectful and uncaring in how they speak to me, then I just simply tell them to come back to me when they can learn to bridle their tongue as James says....

No problem as I know how things go.
One of those 3 I mentioned I actually have had some good debates with when it has been pretty much one on one, but then when others have come in his whole demeanor changed and in come the swarm of hateful attacks.

Kind of how Peter at first acted nice to Gentile believers until Jewish believers came around, then he treated them badly and ignored them until Paul called him out for this wrongful behavior.....
Yeah, a swarm of hateful attacks like a swarm of locusts from hell. LOL

The solid biblical truth works both ways to......

As I have given solid biblical truth in the past, and even broke it down to make it easier for others to understand.
Just like I did with James 5:19-20 just a day ago and how the Strong's and Thayer's Greek study guides show how the Greek word for soul (psuche) is used in this passage. Saved from eternal death, but yet it was still rejected !!!
Kenneth,

While I often disagree with you, I would not be inclined to ignore you. You respond directly to answers to your posts; and you are sincere and generally respectful in your responses to others.

Those I ignore do neither.
