I SAID---everything God says in His word is TRUTH.
Yes but you like many others have not explained what truth actually is, that's all, no big deal, anyone can claim their interpretation of the Bible is the truth.

The right Person to ask about that is Holy Spirit, who is the Christian's guide, who leads us into all truth.

John 16:13
But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

I don't believe that all the divisions come from twisting the Word selfishly or maliciously.
Ignorance and misplace zeal are just as often the cause.

Informed, you mean on the same spiritual level? God deals with everyone differently...what the Lord has done to grow me, isnt where someone else is, nor my job to shove that on them if they're not in the right mindset to have a discussion.
Im not sure what you mean by informed, not everyone is going to know exactly what someone is saying....that's what a forum is for.....the responsibility is on the Christian how to act
Informed of basic orthodox Christian teaching.

Some without the basics vigorously defend their misinformation.

Informed of basic orthodox Christian teaching.
The issue is that only one's denomination accepts one's version of orthodoxy.
Orthodoxy is man being confident in his own understanding of the Word.

That is true and they do.

What we have to do is using the context of the passage, interpret it not how we want to see it, but as what it is. For example some preachers take Genesis 1:26 out of context to mean we are "little gods."

Reading that verse in context of verses like Isaiah 43:10, 44:6, Ezekial 28:2, and John 4:24 gives a a truer view of what is meant that man is made in the image of God.

That is true but I have seen a rippling effect on here so far.
Things were real bad and there was a lot of hatred going around, and then they cleaned house and a lot of those expressing that attitude were banned. Then it got good in here for a little while, but here of lately it has been going the wrong way again. I hope and pray it gets good again in here and stays that way.......
Yes, when the blatant unorthodoxy is removed, there can be more fellowship.

And what is God's truth?
It is revealed first in Creation. All of Creation testifies to the Truth of God.
It is then clarified and further revealed through His Word. All Scripture is God-breathed, and useful.
It was then further clarified and revealed by the Son. In person, God revealed Himself.
It is now further clarified and revealed by the working of the Holy Spirit upon those who did not see, but will see.

So do you think heaven will be partitioned off with rooms/mansions for different denominations with a sign out front saying heretics not welcome here?

Will there be a Baptist section, Methodist, Pentecostal, Catholic, Latter Day Saints, Adventist, Lutheran, etc.......????
What do you think?

Matter of fact, with the one you promoted actively you caused more damage than helped. Just not to me, because I had to grow up in a hurry for the amount of people like you who believe New Age is Christian.

And seriously? You have yet to realize the harm in promoting some dude who thinks he can out do God in healing? Whoa! Frightening.

When your prove-a-point hurts others and the biggest thing you hate is being called on the carpet and you might have to counter "misinformation" (which must be a nifty trick, since you never investigated the info to begin with. I never heard of the guy you were talking about until you mentioned him, so I immediately googled and investigated him. That time I didn't respond? I was both investigating him and then doing dishes before I got back to you!) Doesn't that make you wonder how good you're doing with love God and love others?

I can tell you you ARE hurting others by promoting that garbage!

Lynn, You and i have more in common than i think You realize. i hope i have not hurt or hindered you in any way and i consider you a Sister in Christ and always have since i have been here.

This person is not me Ladylynn., I did not post that. Someone has my name. I've been highjacked!!!
I'm 59. You're a young lady of a mere 56. You hijacked my name. I don't blame you. It's a lovely name. lol

Just messing with you. It's okay. We can both have it and simply be thankful we're not John! Poor John. Everyone's name is John. lol (And for all the John's out there, I'm kidding. I like John enough to marry one. lol)

Some of you may have seen a post I put up addressing "atwhatcost's" question about what to do when confronted with deliberately of misguidedly posted false teachings. If you haven't seen it, it can be found here.

There continue to be a number of these false teachings posted lately by those who either know they are false and make the deliberate decision to promote their heresies, or they are tares who do not know they are tares, i.e., weeds instead of the solid grain of the Gospel. As I noted in that original post, I will not engage those fools again. They wish to remain fools, so let them.

The more false teachers and false doctrines are promoted here, the bigger my ignore list grows. I will not tolerate words preaching a different Christ, or the promotion of a false teacher to espouses a different Christ, than the Bible teaches.

So keep please, heretics, keep it up. It makes it easier for me to identify you and never have to tolerate the darkening of my screen again by your garbage.

I would urge others to do the same. When we determine not to tolerate lies, and choose to engage in true fellowshp with true believers, we will actually glorify God.

Great post. I also will be following your wise advice and simply choose to no longer give a platform to those who insist on crucifying Christ afresh by living under the Law.

AtWhatCost, did you even know that you were into the New Age? Haha! Who would've thunk? Not me. Wow. Ridiculous.
I'm into Old Age. I don't even truly count myself as a 21st century gal. I'm a 20th century gal who happened to have made it to the 21st century. lol

Truth. I'm new a few days and I don't even know how to properly use the forums let alone get to know people well enough to think myself better than them. I do hope I don't get that attitude.
I'm new enough to have to dismiss that attitude already. It was mine. To some extent, it still is, but that's a work in progress. lol
