My fault---------I thought you wrote CHRISTIANS who live ungodly...
Any cutting-off of those who are born of Him............is only temporary. Hebrews 12:10-11.
The Lord's judging of His people is precisely that---------His judging of them. Not of the lost (Rev 20; etc)

Yes...I too would like to hear those commands....once again. Is there anything else we should be especially watchful over in regards to being ungodly. I mean, I get the big ones like, don't cuss and keep a pure heart and all that but it would be helpful if you would list specific ones for me so I can cover all my bases.
Christians have been commanded to sing.

So believers can live like those in Sodom and still be saved? Why did God destroy that city? Because of a wrong belief? Or because of their wrong and evil actions? Sodom was an example to those who will live ungodly afterwards. God's Word does not separate ungodly unbelievers and ungodly believers (As if they were different from each other). Only sin that is repented of can be forgiven.

ANYONE that lives ungodly will be lost. 2 Pet 2:6 "And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;"
"Those" can be ANYONE and does not exclude Christians that turn to ungodliness.. The context of 2 Pet is about Christians who denied the Lord had bought (past tense) them...washed sows returning to wallow in the mire. ALL ungodly will be lost including angels, those during Noah's time, those in Sodom and Gomorrah and Christians that fall away, 2 Pet 2:4-6;20-22.
What verse says one Christian can live godly, another ungodly yet both saved anyway?
One who begins his statement with an untrue and misleading statement is not going to lead in the right direction no matter how many verses he cites. This is a classic red herring or straw man proposition. You are endeavoring to destroy the integrity of your opponents by a false statement about what they believe without ever establishing that they believe it. Shame on you sir.
God never told any believer to attempt to judge another believers salvation.
Those who teach that salvation once given by God through grace can be lost are directly denying the efficacy of the eternal blood sacrifice that Jesus Christ made on our behalf. Hebrews warns of how much sorer punishment shall those be thought worthy who tread underfoot the blood of the Lamb of God. Counting it worthless.
I fear that in these end times many have a head knowledge but do not have a heart knowledge of Christ. Having received not the Holy Spirit who reveals the truth of Gods word but a spirit of this world who teaches what the mind of man desires. Producing a form of godliness but denying the Eternal God of heaven.
Believe what you will but saved by grace is saved for eternity. When God saves it is forever.

As your verse indicated, the Lord separates His people from those who aren't.
Judgment begins at the house of God.
Those who 'intended' to live ungodly in Sodom remained lost. They never were not lost, John 3:18.
Taking another example from Sodom: Lot's wife was saved from Sodom, but disciplined as being a pillar of salt.
The believers are the salt of the earth. But if we lose our saltiness, then we are disciplined. But all such discipline..............
is temporary.
To suggest, or worse: argue, that God can or would throw some of His regenerated children into the lake of fire for eternity,
shows that you might be one needing and receiving some discipline. If you are a believer.
Certainly it shows utter ignorance of a Father's love and purpose and life.

Seems there is a huge disconnect as to what those commands even are. He who cannot be trusted with little won't be trusted with much? are you trustworthy?
2 Pet 2 shows that ANYONE who lives ungodly will be lost, including angels that sinned, those in Sodom and Gomorrah, those that lived prior to the flood AND CHRISTIANS who deny they had been bought Pet 2:1.
Those in Sodom and Gomorrah are EXAMPLES to ANYONE today that chooses to live ungodly.
