Kraw, feeling emotions does not have to mean beeing ruled by them

and btw, letting your head rule over your emotions can lead to evil...

example of an extreeme: Keeping old and sick people alive costs money and manpower, we have neither... ok, let them die, that is cheaper....

..... when i worship God (at least try) these are what i dont feel but i want to feel so bad......
#1 i want to feel the presence of God so much that i just burst out and sing/cry
#2 i want the holy spirit to baptize me so i can speak in tongues to my heavenly father ( i want to speak in tongues so bad :( )
#3 i want God's presence to fill me up so much where i collapse under the preasure of his amazing love.
ok these are what i feel when i try to worship God
#1 nothing
#2 nothing
#3 nothing
:( :(
someone please tell me why i dont feel God's presence please! its making me lose my faith. its hard to love someone when you have no emotion or sign that shows they love you to. :(

I don't know what to tell you callthe5o, except from I feel the exact same way.
I used to feel his presence though not strongly, now I feel nothing. Like I could just as well be talking to the walls.

I am guessing all we can do is pray and read the bible. and perhaps if you are literally trying to feel him it doesn't work because it is you trying and not Him doing?

i mean i have felt his presence before, but that was sooooo long ago. now when i pray or worship god, i feel like i am alone talking to myself. idk what i gotta do. i guess this is the part when i must be patient and wait upon the lord. :( but the problem is, how long do i gotta wait....... i dont wanna wait for a year or two, my faith will be gone by then. :( i got enough evil temptations as it is, and not feeling god for a looooooooong time is making me fall, making me give in to temptation. :(

I know so well how you feel, maybe it is a way of testing us
someone in my bible group were really into the idea that sometimes God will remove himself from someone (not go away, but seem distant) to see what they do. If they still believe.)

it still makes my angry and sad though

yes, it makes me feel like God has left me long ago. i never ever feel his presence, i never feel a tad bit of emotion when i worship and pray. i just want god to give me the patience i need to still have faith, for my faith right now is hanging by a thread. :(

i will say this, though... dont completely rely simply on the feelings themselves, because feelings change daily.

I just came to think of something... even Jesus felt like God had left him when he was hanging on the cross...

Mark 15,34

And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"
—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

All these feel-good-makes-me-wanna-cry-weep-shake-dance feelings are of the flesh.

Worship is us giving to God, not Him giving to us or making us feel this way or that.

It's ALL about Him, not about you or I.

If it's not ALL about Him, then it's not worship...not the kind that pleases Him.

Bring Him more than a song...bring Him your heart, you soul, your very life.

Wow, so like every feeling that one might experience while worshiping is fleshly? Like I should just go into it cold as ice? Tough to be you....
