no no no, on my profile I stated I have been a christian since birth but I've never been baptised. Which was true, for about 13 years I thought I had been baptised as a baby and I've always said I was a christian. I have never at any point in my life been anything but a christian. What I meant by make my OWN decision was she didn't want to force what she believed on me. She wanted me to make the choice on my own
But have you actively called on our Lord Jesus Christ to be your Savior? Have you recognised that you are sinful and needed forgiveness and for your life to be renewed and transformed? Becoming a Christian means committing your life into the hands of Jesus to save you from sin. Then He gives you His Holy Spirit and you are born from above.

Baptism is then an outward act by which you signify to witnesses that you want to 'die' to yourself, and live only for Christ. As you enter the water you are signifying that you want to die to sin. As you come out of the water it signifies rising again in newness of life. The water is a picture of the Holy Spirit's renewing power, in the same way as rain renews vegetation.

God bless you

You do realize we are not born Christian don't you?
How did you come to faith in Christ since birth or whenever you did?
I'm not exactly sure when I realized I was a christian, but as long as I can remember I always have been

I expect that I will be blasted, right and left, for this, but I say DO NOT GET BAPTIZED right now.

Do you see ANYWHERE in the Bible where the participants were not both willing and eager to be baptized?

Personally, it does not sound like you are doing this for any of the reasons Jesus intends.
I am willing and eager to get baptised. I WANT to be baptised, I WANT to be saved and I WANT to complete my walk with God. I'm not doing this because I feel obligated to, I'm doing this because I WANT to. I just feel Satan trying to discourage me and make me give up, as my mother said he would because he did it to her too. She said he's even doing it to her now

Agreed, and I also might be criticized, but after reviewing this persons Profile Page, I don't think they are ready to be water baptized..................

Spiritual Status:Christian
When saved:I have been a christian since birth, although I was never baptized. I will be getting baptised on 6-22-15

I am concerned by the emboldened part, especially that in red
What do you mean not ready to be water baptised. I am ready and I will be baptised. If you're trying to state that I'm not a christian and you think I'm just on here to mess with you you're very very mistaken. I am just as christian as the rest of you.

there is a misunderstanding by some that they are born Christian.......for whatever reason, they believe this. It is not true. No person is born a Christian. Christian simply means a believer in and follower of Jesus Christ.

A new born baby is incapable of hearing the Gospel of Christ preached, recognizing their sinful life apart from Christ through their being brought under spiritual conviction by the Holy Spirit, and choosing to repent, and confess their sins and plead for God to forgive them of their sins, and ask Jesus Christ to come into their lives as Lord and Savior.

It is simply not possible for a newborn child to do this. Thus, a person can not be born a Christian.

Water baptism does not make a person a Christian.

Prior to being water baptized, a person must be sure they are a believer in and follower of Christ, and have repented, confessed, and received the saving Grace of God. They can not be "unsure" of this, for if they are, water baptism serves no purpose for them.

Now, at some later date in your life, after you reached an age to understand the difference between living apart from God and living for God, and you repented, confessed, and pleaded to have Him bestow upon you His gift of saving Grace, and committed your life to His service.........then great.

However, if one has done this, there is no explanation for being afraid of being water baptized. It is to be a joyous experience, not a trial or tribulation.

Hope you understand

Know that infant baptism is not biblical at all. Baptism is a a choice you have to make that is a public expression of your faith, announcing that you have made a decision to follow Christ. Therefore this is not a choice babies can make, and so being baptised before you can make, and understand, that choice is irrelevant.

Also be aware that there is only one sin that is not forgivable in the bible. That is rejecting Christ.

Another thing is salvation has Nothing to do with how we feel. It's not a feeling, it's a fact that exists no matter how we feel. That's part of what faith is. Believing in something even though we don't have any proof. If you are saved, you are saved, all the time, not just when you 'feel' saved.

So just try not to be afraid, for God has not given us a spirit of fear (as the bible states). Most baptisms are quick and all the people there are excited for you and are there to support you in your decision.

A last little piece of advice, you may want to look into having yourself checked out for OCD. OCD is not always about hand washing and turning lights on/off. Man times there is a mental component that has a lot of fear in it and one of the fears some Christians with OCD battle is that they lose their salvation. And that they can't let that thought go at times. Your tendency to dwell on and not let go of fears, and in particular your salvation, may be an indicator of this. Of course that may not be the case at all and you may simply need some help in learning to control your thoughts.
Could you please post the scriptures for us that forbid infant baptism?

I hate to start being THAT guy, but did you even read the post or any of the comments? I have stated several times I'm not afraid of getting BAPTISED I'm afraid because the devil has tried and tried to stop me and I'm worried that he could possibly succeed. I have accepted Jesus is my savior, I am sure I am a believer in God. I don't want to wait until I'm older and 'understand' baptism. I don't have to be in my mid thirties to understand what it means to be baptised. I know Jesus is my savior NOW, I know God is the father NOW therefore there is no excuse for me to wait and I will be baptised NOW

If your trust is in Jesus Christ alone and His work of dying on the cross for your sins...then go get baptized.

On the contrary!

Mat 19:14 But Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and don't try to stop them! People who are like these children belong to God's kingdom."

Yes, I have read all of your comments, but, to be honest, there are confusing/conflicting parts to them. So, as you don't seem to understand what I am trying to tell you........then, ok
