honestly, there ARE higher compliments. i'm not waiting my entire life to hear something that reminds me of a very unfortunate beach + swimsuit situation. ; p

as sweet as "sugar drawers" (i'm a low-glycemic kind of girl), honeylamb (do you have any idea how stupid sheep are?) and apple dumplin' (ehhh, i prefer peaches over apples) these honeyed words can yield to the fawning of sentiments of even greater adulation. : )

oh, i'm just saying... guys you can do better than that. start practicing now. : D
Usually I just tell a woman she's beautiful, or gorgeous. Sometimes I'll work in a detail about her hair or her eyes or her outfit.

It's not actually that hard to let a woman know she looks nice - ya just got to pay attention to details.

i sooooo regret making the sugardrawers statement. the op said she flirted with people so i was making a flirty reply to be funny, i tried to make it very over the top so everyone would see it was a joke and me just acting goofy. i didnt mean to offend anyone. i am sorry.
i am sure i will make more stupid comments as i always speak before i think but thinking about it now, its very easy why so many guys out there would be scared to talk to ladies in this day and age, wow!

Do... do women like that? I'm actually being serious. So far I'm starting to wonder if it doesn't bother them somehow like maybe I'm lying or something?

And this is why he'll probably be married by the end of the year.
So... women do like compliments?

Why is it that when I give a woman a complement on say, a dating website, that's the end of the otherwise nice conversation? Literally I've got at least two experiences in recent memory where that was the case. Two sounds like a small sample size, but it's hard to get women to actually talk to me on said sites - mostly I pay to be ignored.

*shrug*

I'll probably crunch the numbers and drop some statistics this weekend.

Not really. It's not really that hard to stop and think "okay, what's this actually MEAN?" before saying it. Why mention anything about pants; haven't you heard the many crude phrases concerning them?

Maybe in some areas of the country this is not a gross comment; I don't know. Anyone who is used to "calling everyone that" should get out of the habit of doing so IMMEDIATELY, because it sounds sexual to a large percent of the population.

Well, it's drawers, not pants.

Drawers are the things you wear under pants.... the unmentionables. You keep drawers inside a drawer... Drawers are meant to be closed, and not seen. Even if your dresser was empty, you don't have company over and open the drawers to say "hey check out these drawers." You certainly don't do it if there are drawers in your drawers.

Thanks for the apology, JayBird. I think I did ok letting you know it was too far for me... but if you look at the original post, "Asexual flirting" were the words I used. I have a sales/sampling job where I come in contact with huge swaths of people of all ages. I call them "Honey, Sugar, Love, Sweets"... nothing too intimate. And because of this, when I'm expressing empathy or care for a person, I use a lot of "Honey" or "Love".

Sugardrawers does seem to me, and I guess others here, to be a bit too intimate. As far as I am aware, this was the first time you and I've interacted.... and that's cool. I'm not harboring any ill will or anything. Just noting that sugar combined with undergarments of any sort will make me uncomfy.

Hope you have an excellent evening! :)

Showing a women shes beautiful to you...means more than words
Showing her...is by not wanting other girls too

Listen, some women are crazy. No judgment intended here, because I admit to being a little batty myself :p, but just be you and if a girl is right for you, she will like it. The end.

I also call little kids "Grandpa", and the elderly "Kiddo". I'm kinda weird.

But really? I want people thinking outside of their comfort zone. I make a lot of flavors that seem challenging to people, so I try to get them to think a little outside the box and to trust me quickly. I do this through a fairly sassy attitude, i.e.; after sampling something that seems safe to the individual, I'll ask if they trust me now to challenge their palate. And when they like what they are tasting, I give a big grin and tell them "See, you like me better right now, dontcha?" It's just a silly schtick that I do, but I genuinely like people. Because I do this, I know how to set my boundaries and shut down any unwanted attention.

You will have to admit that "Sugardrawers" sounds so much more poetic than "Sugarunmentionables" :p:p

no worries. i didnt realize it was so intimate sounding, i think we have a culture clash going on here. where im from we call pants drawers and britches. in the morning we might say "let me get my drawers on" when we are already in our underwear. so sugar drawers would be like hot pants i guess (we dont say hot pants down here) i call the ups girl at work sugar drawers all the time but im not trying to take her home. i would never say sugar panties, yeah i can see how that would sound bad.
