I don't want to hijack his thread lol. But I mean basically that I've tried the same way many times with slight variances and it always ends the same. Different door, but same road. So always back where I started.
Oh i see, fair enougb. This could bd a point to ponder i see that when Jesus corrected the 7 churches in Revelation, He first commended them, then corrected.
Also, when Paul corrected the churches in his writings, he always thanked God for them and recognised God amongst them even though some of them were way off...

Except Galatians in the epistles was not commended, nor Laodicea in Revelation.

Your wrong, I have been to many churches and I have seen the spirit of God in many of these people. If you believe this then when you go to church that is all you will ever see, but if your heart is open and is willing you can see what is really there behind the veil that you see through right now.
Yes, and if someone is going to such a church, it seems like they'd find another place to fellowship. My church teaches God's word and displays love for the brethren. I am thankful for it.

Wow. The 2 ppl who replied to me with personal blessings are fighting each other about church?! WHAT A FAMILY! lol. I love yuboth. Sorry Iif post about church last nite misled a bit. Was mostly my fault... self thinking pity... I was just pointing out even well meaning christians can sometimes be so concerned with prayers for the wider church mission that they may fail to see the one sitting nearby. A more loving me should have been praying right thru anyway. I once heard dont look for the perfect church...if you find it and join it, youll ruin it. Thank you, Jesus, for this family of God, help us to put aside our complaints and differences and focus on you our Savior.

I'm very glad that some of you have a wonderful church. But it would appear that at least two don't. And I'd probably be correct in guessing that it wasn't just ONE church thats mentioned, but several. Enough actually to make it "appear" as though church was less than helpful in their journey. Mine included.
Is it so difficult to fathom a church that doesn't look after its congregation's spiritual needs? Well, we have a hard time seeing one that does.
You're right. Its perspective. Doesn't make one wrong or less right.
You guys tend to get very defensive here.
If your church is so special, extend an invitation.
"You're wrong!" As a reply Is just immature.
And if my glasses are a little less than rose colored, pardon me my skepticism.
I grew up in church. Doesn't make me an authority, but it absolutely gives me a right to say "church has become less than it was meant to be, far less."
Its a matter of opinion. Which the OP is entitled to have.
If I'd had a wonderful church I'd be happy to explain why i think Church is wonderful. I don't think I'd jump in with you're using the wrong eyes or you're wrong or one mud puddle doesn't make all water muddy. OP didn't say all churches.. So why be extreme?
I extend an invitation to my church if you're ever in Texas

Thanx. I'm about an hour east of Houston and we were prepared. Wasn't that bad here though. I lead the choir (worship band) and we play contemporary Christian music on Sunday night

You talk about all these views making people argue.. Know what makes people argue? Posts like yours that basically say.. see and do like me or you're in the wrong. That isn't maturity. Thats you playing judge.

Show some real discernment and try to comprehend that not ALL churches operate in the holy spirit. Lucky for you your church is awesome and fulfills you. Glad that your pastor preaches and teaches from the Word and doesn't spit fire and brimstone while screwing his secretary.
Ridiculous to think all churches are blessed.
I never said all churches are blessed and also I am not judging in any way I am giving my experience and my view and thoughts on church in no way did I say anything bad about you or anyone else and honestly your responses seem a bit angry. if we are talking about maturity I will not lie I have a long ways to go but that is what makes it fun because I can grow with God, love is the only thing that will show any spiritual maturity debates like this is nothing trust me I have seen some fiery ones and those kind of debates will test your faith and show what is in your heart.

I am sorry you have experienced bad churches but yet is always complaining about how corrupt churches are because they are not what he sees as a biblical church
