Take a few minutes to appreciate how amazing and complex God's creations are with me. :)

The Alligator- Can survive for over a year without food. It does this by moving very slowly in the water, and burning almost no calories.

The Hummingbird- The only bird in the world that can fly in any direction. It beats it's wings over 1000 times per minute.

The Cheetah- Runs up to 75 mph.

The Gecko- Exerts a special adhesive from it's feet, allowing it to climb on almost any surface. It also has the unique ability to save people money on car insurance. ;)

The Chameleon- Changes colors to blend in with it's environment.

The Jellyfish-It can restart it's aging process by reverting back to polyp form, making them potentially immortal!

The Woodfrog- Has anti-freeze blood alowing it to survive the winter by freezing, then thawing out in spring.

The Salamander- Can regenerate lost limbs and even internal organs.

The Basilisk Lizard- Can run on the surface of water. (Nicknamed the Jesus Lizard) :)

The Angler Fish- Has an organic light attached to it's head used to attract prey and see in the dark.

Romans 1:20- For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

I have to laugh when people credit this stuff to "mother nature". :)

But on the flip side of the coin we have all forms of deadly virus, germs and bacteria that can kill millions. Insects that carry and spread diseases, a volatile planet prone to volcanos, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes etc that wipe out millions more.

They all have to be credited to God too.

Also we have to ask... Why weren't we created to survive so long without food lol. Why does everything we eat and drink go down the same hole as we breath through and causing unnecessary choking?

No, Allan. That's not God's doing. Keep reading your Bible. Those are all a result of mankind rebelling against God and the whole of Creation being cursed with sin and death. This change begins in Genesis 3.

Oh. So forgive my ignorance here. Bit did God create a volatile planet as a punishment? Or did Mans behaviour cause these events to happen on their own?

No harm, mate. Mankind's act of rebellion set the whole of Creation into rebellion against its Creator. The Fall of Man kick started it all and then it just played out (un)naturally. A cursed Creation was never what God wanted for us. But we chose poorly.

I think of cancer as modern-day leprosy.

I'm amazed that every human born from the beginning of time has a different fingerprint.

Viruses
Germs
Bacteria
Mosquitoes
Other disgusting bugs
Volcanoes
Hurricanes

Indeed! Let's credit God with all of them too! Amen!!!

(My husband almost died because of an antibiotic. The antibiotic did kill the bad virus causing him problems, but it also killed off the good microorganisms leaving the bad ones to flourish. And as much as I hate bugs, I do know without them we couldn't survive. God does good work, doesn't her?)

Only a guy could write that! Yeesh! lol

What fun is life with the delightful delectable of food? Can we all say chocolate? Ooo, raspberries! I'm looking forward to dessert tonight -- cherry brownies with a couple of leftover blueberries in them! Hmmm, what's hubby making for dinner? He could go with a frittata. Oooo, oo, maybe chicken cacciatore! Ooo, haven't had a good old fashioned meatloaf in a while. Ooo, oo, maybe burgers on the grill. Oooo, ratatouille. Okay, I'm salivating. What is it with guys that they don't think food 24/7 too? lol

And go down the same hole we breathe in? Obviously not, or we wouldn't choke when food does go down our bronchial. If you don't want your nose near your mouth, maybe that's why you don't like food. Smell and taste are connected to get us to want to eat food. You got a better place for the snout other than right above the mouth? Pretty cool design, if you ask me.

Seriously, you want a complete calm planet? Then what are you doing in the UK? You do know there are places on earth with calmer oceans than you have, right? I mean, yeesh! The North Sea? Not like that's the easiest place to live next to. And do you think lots of rain and fog is calming? Well, me too, but it puts me right to sleep. This planet was perfectly aligned to give us the best possible conditions. A degree or two closer to the sun and we're toast. A degree or two further from the sun and we're icicles. If that moon wasn't exactly in that spot, you wouldn't be neighboring the North Sea, you'd be in it, under it, and rotating right around down to Africa, over to Mongolia, out to Tahiti with the rest of the debris. There is no consistent land without the moon governing the waters.

There is no land without volcanoes either. Matter of fact, this ball would have exploded into millions of little meteors without volcanoes. And, yes, the cause tsunamis, but, yo! No land without volcanoes for the tsunamis to hit either. All the stuff your complaining about is needed just so we can go about our lives. Don't underestimate God. This was no accident.

Really? What do you disagree with, sister?
Check out the links I added in my post above. Everything Allan has complained about really is God's purpose. Mosquitoes, roaches, germs, viruses, all things that my my skin crawl have good purposes nonetheless. It's not punishment. It's careful design and well orchestrated (even as I scratch the dang mosquito bite. lol)

Where do you get your science? We get land because God separated the waters at the beginning of everything. And yes, some islands are the result of volcanic activity, but certainly not all.

Yes, there can be good in them, but they're not good by design. They're the result of sin and death entering the world. But God is merciful and makes it that good can come from bad. But that doesn't change the fact that Creation was perfect in the beginning and mankind buggered it up and we now see the results all around us. We live in a beautiful world, but it's a fallen one. A shadow of what once was and what is to come with the New Heavens and New Earth.

Yeah its definitely a buggered up planet and we continue to destroy it.

I always had the rather grim outlook that we were nothing more than a bacteria slowly eating away and destroying our host planet.

Yup, it is all God. He placed the land where it would work out nicely after the flood, adds to it and subtracts from it through volcanoes, shifts plates, handles the entire mass beautifully, if not downright frightening from our perspective. (Whoa! Krakatoa! Zipped right up there, exploded back into the sea, and Little Krakatoa is replacing it all in the space of time for Europeans to find the lands we both live in and those lands to become countries. That explosion caused snow in New York City in July.) I am in awe of how much God has done in such little time.

Scientists have twice said it can't work like that, (the other time is Mt. St. Helens), and yet, well, apparently God is doing it still just like that. Land goes exactly where God wants it to go. So does the sea.
