I think that the gay couple posed 0 threat to their religion, all they wanted was a cake.

This was a planned out strategic attack on Christians, otherwise they could have simply gone to a bakery owned by people more sympathetic to their needs.

Yeah, there is an agenda. I think its a train wreck that is inevitable. But we need to at least wake enough to brace for the impact.

Oh man I swore I'd never come back to this place, get your heads out of the sand people, if you are in business you can not discriminate on any grounds, you can't serve white people only you can't discriminate against gay people, don't like business laws? then get out or do something else non profit you simple minded people. There is religious freedom you fools.

And freedom to disagree with socialists. Christians are in the business of serving of God. If a Christian minister is asked to officiate in a homosexual marriage, he has every right to refuse to do so because of his religious beliefs. Simple minded people? And you're the one who swore not to return. Too challenging for you.

The foolish of God is greater than the wisdom of man.

If he'd keep his word he'd still have a remnant of integrity.

Ahhh, but you're wrong. We can do business with who we want and refuse to do business with whom we want. This is America. Liberalism, with the full force of the white house behind them, are shredding the constitution, but they are the ones breaking the law.
I am a small business owner and since 1975 I have turned away people that offend me. Not because of race, but because of speech, manners, lack of civility, lack of morals, any reason I wanted was what it took.

Our constitution prevents us being forced to participate in things that we don't like. This is America. No one can tell an American who they can and can't like. That right to make those choices came from God, not man, and man does not have the authority or right to take them away.
Hide and watch - there's gonna be a great big fight some day soon.

So, to put the other shoe on.

Lets say I opened up a Gay Cake Shop (Which is looking like it might be a lucrative business model) and a Christian came into my Gay Cake Shop and wanted a bible verse on there that was against Gays... Could the Christian then sue the shop owner for discrimination if they refused to put it on the Cake?

Well first a religious belief and a sexual perversion are not the same thing...The idea of a free and moral society would be that folks keep their sexual perversions in their private life and let honest folks do business based on free market principals...the problem only occurs when folks demand that others approve deviant behavior.

Yes it is a biblical response.....no where are we commanded to support anything that has to do with gays and lesbians.....today I was interviewed by a reporter for the paper in Penrith, Australia.....she was all for gay marriage and was ignorant of the facts as found in the bible and tried to ascribe them to millions of years ago.....I also laid out a brief history or Rome and Greece which she was also oblivious too......she was all hip to interview me as an American until she found out I was opposed to gay marriage.......bet my interview does not make the paper as he bias approach will undoubtably edit out my negative responses in favor of her bias belief!

And you're the one's paying the fines?

Well that is your choice but how come the american christians were fined by the courts then?

That's with limitations, that's what i'm seeing.

I don't need to hide, and personally you're not going to win all fights, in fact those bakery christians lost the fight, they were fined by the american authority.

If the equality laws state you can not discriminate then yes one could bring a charge forth in legal terms.

Maybe its just me, but I wondered why they didn't just bake them a cake. They are going to be married with or without it, its not like they are signing the deal for them. They are simply doing their job. Its not even supporting them, because its their job to bake cakes for people. Use the opportunity to show Gods love and witness if given the chance. I have several gay friends, and they all know where I stand on the topic because of my relationship with God. I do not support what they do in any way, but... I still treat them the same as every other sinner that I know. (All have sinned) Why should they be singled out or any different? I'd bake my gay friends a cake. Not because they are gay... but because they matter to Jesus, so they matter to me. Tragic that the owners lost their business over it though.

in the Lord's eyes they are winners and this is all that matters to true Christians -
(if you are persecuted for righteousness sake, rejoice.')

this trend will only get worse and all those who call evil good and good evil shall indeed reap
what they sow.

Onward Christian Soldiers'.....

Why should they be made to act against their conscience, so sexual deviants can celebrate their sin? Why does a sexual deviant have a special right to impose their immorality on others?

Ok fair enough, so your Lord encourages Christians the followers of the Lord to break the law of the land correct?

They don't have to and they don't have a special right, equality laws serve all, you just don't get it?

Thinking this over with my wife in retrospect, if I had a bakery and was confronted by a same sex couple to bake a wedding cake, I would have baked them a cake with as many tiers as they wanted, decorated it but with no writing on it. It would be free of charge, they would have to take it to another shop to be finished (with a reference and transportation service) and they could leave a donation to support a Christian charity that supports freedom of religion and expression if they chose to do so. I do not believe they would have any legal grounds under those circumstances in any state to file any charges and it would be the choice of the bakery to do it free of charge. If they were going to suffer any damages, similarly claimed by this same sex couple in Oregon, we would suggest through counsel that they would be better served by going to a professional psychologist for counseling instead of seeking civil damages from a bakery that baked them a cake at no charge. They would be getting a good deal and all they would have to do is follow through with it and be happy about it.

No you don't seem to understand that equality is not based on sexual perversions.. You don't get to be a special class or group of people because of your sexual desires. And I as a free citizen under the constitution I do not have to recognize a person based on their deviant behavior .... Hookers and pimps don't get special treatment either and if they want a cake to celebrate their sin, they can go somewhere else.

When the law of man is clearly contrary to the law of God...We serve the Lord and try to work within those laws that agree with God to change those that disagree with Him.
