Persistence shmistence. I just install to flash drive as though it were an external hard drive. At install Linux Mint treats it like any other USB hard drive.

I wonder if I'm the only one who tried to say that and failed a few times...

Saaaaavor the minty freshness!

And it is a treat for anybody who is stuck with a computer that has Windows XP. While you have to pay to upgrade to Windows 7 (or 8, but who would want that?) you can get the latest Linux Mint for free and keep on going.

An... um... atheist meeting? What do they meet about? How do you have a meeting about the absence of God?

I mean, I know of some car nuts who are members of a Beemer club or a Ferrari club... but I've never heard of anybody going to an anti-Ferrari club meeting.

Tim Hawkins is a breath of fresh-air in a world of decidedly (mostly) unfunny Christian stand-up comics.

Seriously, though...this is so true. He's probably one of the few comedians I'll ever watch.

Sometimes a normal, ho-hum day makes me feel overwhelmingly grateful. Today wasn't special in that it was exciting or that anything great happened, but it was precious because of its simplicity. Maybe that makes no sense.

I feel...good. I mean, I have my weird days, but the really bad ones are few and far between. I'm a little concerned about the change of seasons, how much will this progress slow? I don't know. The lighter my world becomes, the darker the past few years seem to have been. I'm afraid of going back to that.

Maybe I'll find something I'm actually good at. <---Not sure what that has to do with anything, it just came next in my thought process.

Goodnight, world.

I want so much to hide out away from people today, but it's our annual 4th of July picnic at church. (We do it later because most of us serve the town on the 4th).

My cat tried to make me wear another bird shoe. I didn't fall for it this time, but me and my cat aren't speaking to each other right now.

So, I was making chili and cornbread for dinner. Halfway into making the cornbread I remembered that I used that last if the eggs for breakfast this morning so I just kinda didn't put any eggs in the batter hoping for the best.

Actually I think the recipe I have works better without the egg in it. :D
