No, He was not "angry" in the way you mean. First of all, He didn't just pick up a whip lying around, and start using it in a fit of anger. He made one. You ever make a whip? I have. It takes hours... and you have to go find the material first... more time.

Then, He did not clear the whole temple. Just a small portion where the vendors were allowed to set up Had He made a big ruckus the Roman police who were stationed there to keep order would have been all over Him. That was their job.

And I can't recall the Scripture, but this was done to fulfill a prophesy. (You can look it on Google.)

You are absolutely right that not all in the church today are wicked, as some do still follow the true teachings of Christ.

It is also true that we live in the last days of apostasy teaching and wide spread bad doctrines, as I even saw a fellow brother just the other day say he is Southern Baptist but yet the way he speaks on the word comes from Calvinsim doctrine. I was raised a Baptist and our doctrine growing up was never based on nor agreed with the teachings of Calvin.
Jesus keep him in your peace. I pray the Lord meets all your needs, emotionally and all, it is possible. I believe it will happen for you. God bless you. Jesus puts arms around you, comforts you in the lose of your dad. 3c7f8c3c1fd706faa7aac38f05376d2b.jpg

What a wonderful Lord we know, and have. He is making mansions for us, he said, and with loving hands. I didn't know it took hours, but it must of been made with love.

BTW, the prophesy was Psalms 69:9, I believe.

It depends on what kind of whip and what it is made out of, as not all of them take hours to make.
John 2:15 says that Jesus made a whip out of cords, and you can look at this as taking one end of the cords and braiding them like you would a woman's hair. That side being the handle and the other loose end being the lashing end.

Thanks for the picture, it reminds me of a whip that tore the Lords back open. The son of God, was deeply loved, and deeply hated. They conspired to great lengths to do everything they could, even put metal on the ends of the whip, maybe in remembrance of what he did in the temple. Revenge is mans way of life. I luv that verse that reminds us, "leave room for the Lord, for vengeance belongs to him, he will repay." He is no longer in those rags, torn, and bruised, for our iniquity, he is a King, and it says, we need to and should approach the Throne with Boldness, and Confidence, this is our heritage, we belong to him, and have the right to enter into the Holy of Holies, through Christ, amen, for no man cometh unto the Father but through the Son. Praise him.

You are fun... The point I was making was that this was done with deliberate forethought and an expansion of labor that would given Him plenty of time to settle down IF He had flown hot.... which He did not.

Yes some fellow brothers and sisters in the faith forget all about that verse that we are to leave vengeance and life and death situations up to Him. We are commanded to show love, forgiveness, and mercy to all others !!!

Doing things that are against the Law, will be punishment. Money is helpful, we need to eat, brush our teeth, with toothpaste, it is a blessing. The simple life is the best, less worry, when you have less money, bible quote; be content with food, and clothing. Don't forget Love, it is our first priority. :)

It was done because the Lord knew their corruptness that is in their heart, and you do know that being angry in itself is possible to do without sinning ???

Apostle Paul speaks on this in Ephesians 4:26 where he says you can be angry, but in that anger do not sin or give place for the devil to take a hold of you again to draw you back to a life of sin controlling you. This is an example that some have deemed to be righteous anger, as the Lord said and showed that no corruption of God's way is to be tolerated.

So, you would justify us using violence (ie: the crusades, as an extreme example) as long as we are carrying a cross when we whup up on people?

He did have that right, he proclaimed he was a king, but not of this earth, and it was important to him, that there would be an honorable place to read and pray. I don't know what went through the mind of our Lord, but as God, he was being Father, and I know I got the stick branch on me a few times, being disobedient as a child. He had all authority to do what ever, and even told them, he could call legions of angels to rescue him, but he put his glory and crown aside, for you and me, to defeat evil, and he did, he is King, and we bow to him at his throne in prayers and petitions. 10605-Power-In-The-Name-Of-Jesus.jpg

1 .) We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2 .) Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
3 .) For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

No because that was not righteous anger as those in the crusades and such misused the word of God, as they went around trying to force people into Christianity.

I do not support the forcing of our belief on anybody, as neither does the bible support that.
Yet we still have those to this day who want to force our belief on others that do not believe in God or follow the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Using force to help protect and defend the less fortunate and persecuted is supported by the bible, and so is forcing those out of the church who bring in heresies so that they do not corrupt others.

i agree on the contentment issue. we should be happy with what we have. we need toothpaste but do we really need an entire isle at wallmart with 100 choices of toothpaste. we spend to much time dwelling on all these arbitrary choices when we could spend that time with family, friends, neighbors, like we used to before we got all these choices. i domt think money creates contentment, i think it creates greed, envy and wasted time . IMO

The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak, theres too much of everything, sometimes to even care about another, Jesus said that the temple would not have one stone left upon another, and that he would be raised up in 3 days, a temple, within us. All of the glitter, gold, and glimmer, sticks to the soul like a snake, wraps it's self around, like you can't get lose of these things, and yet having lots of money will not buy freedom, Sins started happening in the beautiful Temples of Solomon's, and Davids, and Nebucunezzer who gave glory to himself instead of the Lord, and the Lord took his senses away, for 7 years, made him crawl on the ground like a beast, with long nails, we all are at fault, and need to repent, of gain, and need the latter rain.

Very good advice. We could find a lake and wash our faces there, and clothes, some people do just that, maybe I will.
