One day our own sun will be a black hole. That's long after it expands beyond earths orbit and swallows it up but I'll long be dust by then.

In space, matter is never truly lost. Matter is energy. And that energy is always recycled into another form of energy.

Just think, billions of years from now, parts of your body will be a part of other stars and planets. In fact billions of years ago, parts of your body already were.

the more i read into quantum mechanics the more i lean to the concept that matter does not exist. i think it only exist in the equations.

The more you read into qm the more you need to read the bible. Those books were mostly written by atheist scientists just bare that in mind, you don't want them dangling carrots in front of you.

The mind blowing thing about qm is that in space, size doesn't matter. You could zoom into the hair on a fleas leg and still fit an infinite universe inside it, then zoom in again and keep doing so an infinite amount of times.

You could do the same thing in reverse too. You could zoom out past the earth, moon and our galaxy and keep zooming out even more until everything is super shrunk and fits into the hair on a fleas leg but it would be a pretty big flea compared to us. :p Also you have to be God so.

No info is lost the black hole is the place where a Sun used to be that's information confirmation.

it's not "mathematical nonsense" or "fundamental theories pitted against each other" or contrary laws.

in a nutshell, every piece of matter or energy represents a 'bit' or information. there's a conservation of information precept that is inferred from quantum mechanics. because light (or anything else) cannot escape a black hole once it's crossed the event horizon, Stephen Hawking believes (or believed) that the information inherent in whatever falls into a black hole is "lost" in the sense that it cannot be retrieved by the rest of the universe outside the black hole. it's solidly arguable that this doesn't represent a failure of quantum theory or the breaking of any law.

but regardless - Leonard Susskind showed that all the information in a particle that enters a black hole could theoretically be retrieved by studying the shell of space immediately outside the event horizon -- it's computationally a ridiculous feat to accomplish, but it's possible to infer from how the "atmosphere," if you like, around the event horizon changes, exactly what has passed through it, how fast and in what direction it passed through it. the information is not "lost" to the universe at large - it's preserved both inside the black hole (where the particle is) and forensically attainable outside the black hole.

this is a dumbed-down explanation of what is called "the holographic principle"
for an extensive explanation, if you're interested, you should read Susskind's excellent book - which i've read twice :)

you do need to read the bible, physics or no physics, but if you are talking about QM, you should make sure understand it before you start making assumptions about it's implications.

& Werner Heisenberg, the father of quantum theory, was a Christian. so there's also that.

i agree about the bible. IMO this is why so many scientist hit walls with their progression as their lack of spirituality prevents them from going further. everythbng is 99.9% space and from my understanding no one has found a solid piece of matter. would this not mean that physical reality is nothing more than a concept?

a physicist named Karl Schwarzschild in 1916 derived an exact solution for Einstein's field equations for a black hole. though he did not include rotation or electric field into the calculation, which would also affect the size, what he found is what we all use as an estimate for the size of a black hole given its mass (and vice-versa).
this is the 'Schwarzschild radius' -- the perfunctory size of a black hole; the closest that light can get to the center of one and still be able to escape is anything larger than this.

it's a relatively simple equation:

362faf4b7e4a1f04faef1681cb8405a1.png

where:
r[SUB]s[/SUB] is the Schwarzschild radius;
G is the gravitational constant;
M is the mass of the object;
c is the speed of light in vacuum.

here's the interesting thing:

plug in the numbers for the inferred mass of the entire universe, and you get a radius of ~ 13.7 billion light years.

now guess what the radius of the observable universe is? it's also about 13.7 billion light years.

these back-of-the-envelope calculations support the idea that we're in a black hole right now :)

let's get traveling, shall we?

i watched a presentation a few weeks back on this. the speaker was nassim haramein. he made a very good case that we could be in a black hole.

did you see my moon question?

but in post #42 a billion years ago our body's were part of the stars and planets how can this be if the bible says we are from the dust of the earth but yet these same atheist scientists say we are from star dust the death of a star

This be a good point, it is because the so-called atheists are mostly pagan creation worshippers and their heresies are to tempt ye into worshipping the creation instead of the Creator as they do, either blatantly so, or inadvertently so by subtlety.

Indeed one can't have a view we were a billion years ago part of the stars but 6000 yrs ago we came from the dust of earth that doesn't jive together.

Indeed and moreso, notice the subtlelty of the billion year old lie. Particularly wherein they say we were made of stardust from the explosion of stars. That is a very subtle way in which they are trying to make you think the stars made you and that the stars then be god.

Nevertheless it only testifies against their own lack of understanding. For one, they will decry anyone whom believes in God as anti-scientific, yet their own view is not scientific at all, for it cannot be tested, observed, nor proven, and moreso it goes against simple science which says spontaneous generation is impossible, that living matter cannot come from non-living matter.

We know though that indeed our God is a living God, and Jesus his living Word and thereby did he create all of creation and created Man, and that is both belief us not being there to witness it, but also is scientifically sound.

If you research evolution and our origin you will find most of what is in the text books are lies and assumptions.I was very surprised how quickly these so called scientific theories fall to biblical truth when put under scrutiny.
It's an absolute certainty that if one has a problem accepting any part of Genesis then they will have an even bigger problem accepting the gospel.

sure it does.
the elements the earth is made of were also made in stars, it's thought. so to be made of dust of the earth is to be made of dust of the stars, and "
He also made the stars" - it is all dust that He created.

you make a sandwich out of the fixins in your refrigerator.
but the fixins in your refrigerator were part of a grocery store last week.
and the week before that, they were part of a farm.
and before that, they were part of the earth.
so what is your sandwich made of?
dust of your refrigerator? dust of the grocery store?
of a farm? the earth?
yes, yes, yes yes.

do you subtly think that my refrigerator made my sandwich?
is my refrigerator an idol? (!)

that only jives if you think God created the earth, but He didn't create the stars.
otherwise you've got the same argument to worship the earth, instead of God.

if He created all things, and our bodies are made of some of those things, which things the bodies are made from is kind of unimportant - we are still made by God, no matter what.

In your own example you even say that one would have to recognize the stars as having created the earth instead of God directly.

In your analogy, that be like saying the refrigerator created the food and the food created the sandwich.

EDIT: it's basically saying you can't take the maker at his word.

This surely makes me hungry for a PBJ with milk ...jk :)

indeed its all from Gods refrigerator

I think that there Is practical reasoning behind everything so the human body is too precise to have just evolved randomly,im thinking that god created it and the same goes for black holes.

I think that there is a practical reason for them we just don't know what It Is yet.

“By faith we understand that the world was created
by the word of God, so that what is seen [physical matter] was made
out of things which do not appear” (Hebrews 11:3, rsv).

“Lift up your eyes on high, and behold
who hath created these things,” God says,
“that bringeth out their host by number:
he calleth them all by names by the greatness
of his might, for that he is strong in
power; not one faileth” (Isaiah 40:26).

What is dark matter? No one knows. We can register its
effects, but we cannot see it or measure it.

He asked Job,

“Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness,
where is the place thereof, that thou shouldest take it
to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the
paths to the house thereof?” (Job 38:19-20).

The Living Bible renders this, “[T]ell me about the darkness.
Where does it come from? Can you find its boundaries, or go to
its source?”

Romans 1:20 says “the invisible things of him from the
creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by
the things that are made ….” The visible universe shows
that there must be this invisible matter or force holding
it all together. We can see the invisible power of God by
seeing the visible.

Perhaps “dark matter” is actually the invisible power of
God holding the universe together. By the power of God
“were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are
in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or
dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created
by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and
by him all things consist” (Colossians 1:16-17).

“By him all things consist” or are held together. Hebrews 1:3 says
that Jesus Christ is “upholding the universe by his word of
power” (rsv). Upholding comes from a Greek word meaning
to bear or carry. God says in Psalm 75:3 that “When the
earth totters, and all its inhabitants, it is I who keep steady
its pillars” (rsv). God holds together and sustains the
universe by His power.
