Possibly. Both are equally unlikely given the description in the Book of Job. ;)
One of my favorite Bible passages is in Job 41 when God says, "Can you... (overpower the Leviathan) and lead it around...?"
I just love that image (and earth--or sea, in this case--shaking description of God's power. It's also a firm reminder for me to remember my own (very low) place in the chain!

It's about 6:20 in the morning here... but so cool to see that apparently, my brain is still on the same wavelength as one of my favorite Aussie brothers in Christ... all the way on the other side of the world! *hugs Tintin*

Hi Kim. Love you too, dear sister! *hugs SeoulSearch*
Yes, Job 41 is also one of my most favourite Bible passages - the evocative language is en point. Good on you, mate. It's 11pm here. I think I'll call it a night. Have a most blessed day. Stay awesome!

Just took my trash over to the dumpster and found a nice coffee table that someone had put out. Had one of my neighbors bring in for me, cuz it was too heavy for me to lift. hmmm...now what to put on it? *ponders* lol :)

my son-in-law's mantra is 'a bad pie is better than a good cake'.

which is a relief, because a bad pie is my specialty

(i lost my crust mojo and don't know where i left it?)

every autumn, the kids and in-laws and company come here for what they call 'pie-fest'.
i throw something plentiful in the slow cooker and they bake half a dozen pies and totally trash the kitchen.

clean it up? yeah.... eventually. :)
I have an Amish pie crust recipe that is really good and fool proof.....let me know if you want it.....Blond

I wouldnt either, but when I was like five I had no problem digging stuff out of the outside trash can. See when I was little I had a bad habit of leaving toys on the floor and my dad would always get after me and one day he picked them up and threw them in the trash. Well, when he was gone I got them out and started playing with them. The next day they were right back on the floor. He got upset with me and gave up with throwing things away. To this day he still gives me a hard time about going through the trash. I actually enjoy my dad giving me hard time because that's how he shows his affection for people. If he didn't I might be a little worried

Neither was the chair or the gift wrap....but it was sitting close by....the dumpster.....lol Only way I will be in a dumpster is if someone throws me in....lol......or if per chance my wedding ring dropped down in there I suppose I'd have to go after it....lol

I just realized why most of the BDF threads literally nauseate me. :p Because the majority of posts are "intellectual" debates about law & scripture while Jesus Christ is ignored. :(

I know VR, it is truly sad. Most of the time they go intellectual I am completely lost because I don't understand where they are coming from. I wish they would use more personal examples and most importantly show God's love for each other when they may disagree with each other. Most of them are great about it, but there are a few that aren't

Amen, Marieh! I posted this on another thread earlier:

I'm sitting here thinking of the Apostle Paul being imprisoned and beaten up so badly, often within an inch of his life. Nevertheless, no matter what prison he was in, the Gospel of Jesus Christ was furthered and the Kingdom of God grew rapidly, the Word says.

Now, can you imagine Paul preaching the fire & brimstone stuff that gets posted in these forums? Can you even imagine Paul telling the guard who was beating him, "You are going to hell! You better repent! You better follow the law!" And then proceed to recite pages of Scripture? That guard would have killed Paul in a heartbeat!

No, but Paul joyfully told the guard about Jesus Christ and how his eyes were made open to the Lord Himself. Paul talked about Jesus and the guard was stunned that Paul would offer him such life and hope after he had harmed Paul so badly. Paul showed the guard the love of God and said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, and your whole family."

Paul exhibited the love of Jesus Christ to the guard and preached Jesus Christ crucified. That was it. Jesus Christ is effective enough to make men new.
