Isn't it initially free and then you get charged later for additional needed downloads? Or did I misread it?

I don't know anyone who likes Windows 8 and I dread to think what Windows 10 will be like. For me the alarm bells rang when
they announced that it will be provided free for Windows 7 users like myself. They must be desperate to ensnare us all. Apple
executives must be jumping with glee.

Ill stick with windows7

Haven't heard of such a thing concerning 10. what did you read and where?
yes i was wondering, the apple and there reasoning . all i was tying to say was free down load to windows 10. however it would not suprise me if there is a price to pay some ware in the future.

Yes well there will be. Its only free for a year then normal pricing structure kicks in. But if you get the free upgrade within a year you don't have to pay.
