I always find it interesting that people romanticize that story... when it really was about manipulation, trickery and deceit on the part of just about everyone involved. Does anyone else find it ironic that Jacob dressed and pretended to be his brother in order to deceive his father and steal a blessing at his mother's prompting, and then later Leah pretends to be her sister in order to steal a husband (Jacob himself) at her father's prompting? Who needs Jerry Springer when you have the beginning of Israel to read about.

(But praise God for his redemption!)
Agreed, Grace! It is romanticised. I suppose Jacob received his comeuppance, but yeah. I don't know. Haha!

Well, crush didn't pan out. I'm not much of a soda drinker anyway, and cubed really does last longer...despite the time it can be hard and cold.

Hm... Perhaps I be the crushee rather than the crusher... Who knows? I'm tired, and maybe like Michael Bubble...I just haven't met her yet. *shrugs*

And even further than that, remember how the prophecy regarding Jacob and Esau was "the older will serve the younger?" So when Jacob wound up with Leah, it wasn't the first time in the story that the older sibling had pretended to be the younger. It was like what Jacob had done earlier in his life coming back to bite him. And yes, praise God for His redemption :)

Well there is a lot of lovely people on Christianchat who are worth taking a liking to, not surprised people develop crushes on other people. I can admit, there's a person on here whom I kinda crush on, but I think I'll keep her name a secret for now, at least until she has left / quit Christianchat. (Not saying I want her to leave)

Hmph. Mass-produced factory stuff. Only homemade cheesecake is real cheesecake.

Hate to break it to you, but their cheesecakes are mass produced and shipped in frozen.

Yeah...they aren't so good.the spaghetti warehouse is similarly disappointing. It's best to statmy away from chains except for beef or seafood. Seafood is almost always frozen any way and beef can either be locally sourced or flash frozen for freshness.
