Where in the bible does it say that people who commit suicide will go to hell? I've never found it, but people say it's true.

I have never come across anything even remotely inferring that in the bible. These people may have said that it is true but that is only their opinion. The God that I worship and serve is merciful and compassionate to all those that know and love Him.

Suicide. Too many variables and too many unknowns related to suicide. As a proposition (which it is not in the your question) "People who commit suicide will go to hell" is false. But I ain't arguing it. That's out of my league.

It doesn't directly say about suicide, but people often refer to the commandment of 'thou shalt not kill' as a means of putting any person to death, which could include one's own...

if a person is not saved when they die.... do you think that person should get a special "pass" to heaven for killing themselves?
Christians also commit suicide... it is wrong and sinful as it is "self-murder"... I do know GOD is the ultimate judge over whether a person was once born or twice born at the time they leave this life... and so I leave it with Him.

All sin is suicide. Check out the first sin of Adam and Eve. No change.
Praise God for our Redeemer.

I will have to review the text... but my first inclination is... Sampson was blind... he didn't know he was going to perish... he was merely using his strength!
How is that for starting a dialogue... "I don't know what it says but this is my thought..." LOL!

A believer who commits suicide will instantly be face to face with the Lord.

A unbeliever who commits suicide will reside in the LoF.

Salvation is not based upon our behavior.

Not to derail the thread, but Samson's primary intention was not to kill himself, rather to get revenge on the Philistines. If you jumped in front of a car to save a child knowing you would probably die, would that be suicide? There is accepting you will probably die by doing something, and there is intentionally taking your own life with no other goal or end.

I don't think there is any Scripture specifically saying that you will go to hell for suicide. However, killing yourself is also murder (thou shalt not murder). Also, the only people who committed suicide in the Bible, Judas for example, were evil people. The question is, would you risk to be eternally cast into hell to find out whether it's true or not? There's no way back. I'm sure I wouldn't even dare to do it. I hope this helps to give you some insights.

Samson knew he was going to perish...he asked for strength to pull the pillars down that was holding the roof up where all the Philistine Lord's were partying.....read away and this is what you will find.......!

To be right with God and have a spiritual relationship with Him you have to repent of all your sins and turn away from them.

If you commit suicide you cannot repent of the deed to be forgiven.

Someone might say but I will repent of it and then do it,but it seems like you cannot repent until the deed is done, and when the deed is done there is no way to repent for you are dead.

I suggest a reading of what actually took place.....Samson was going to be made sport by being sacrificed to the gods the Philistines worshipped...he asked for God to return his strength for the purpose of pulling the roof of STONE down upon himself and the Philistines knowing full well he would die...and GOD knew he would die and honored his request!

The believer is rewarded by their works. They are saved by Grace.

At the Bema seat of Christ believers works or fruits are judged. The believer is still saved no matter if he has a pile of ashes or crowns and Jewels.

If works are the standard by which we are judged and saved..........the guy listening to the Gospel in his car on the way to work and believes suddenly gets in a head on collision and dies...........won't be saved because he didn't have works or fruit to prove to us fruit inspectors.
