seems like that people open the Bible with pre-disposed ideas and use the Word to back up their ideas, instead of just reading and letting it speak to them.

Yes, certain people read the Bible with their own pre-conceived ideas and then try and force scripture to "conform" to "their" theology instead of allowing scripture to speak for itself.

Of course, I was only joking. My wife makes sure that I listen to her one way or the other. :p

We learn to repeat ourselves over, and over again akin to you guys saying we are nagging you.....Listen Up and we will Shut Up!!!!......lol very hard....lol

Those ideas probably come from the denomination of the church they are attending and the doctrine they teach/practice.

Speaking for myself....I click on the like button for a post because I either agree with the posters comment, feel the poster is on the mark with their comment, or found their post hilarious (if they made a joke) basically it depends on the post but almost always it is liked because of content within that post. Threads can get derailed so it doesn't always link back to the OP. Especially in longer threads.
