Wholly agree. You lose out on some of the QC that makes Apple products as stable as they generally are when you open up the potential for people to do whatever they want with a product, however. One thing this job has taught me is that enthusiasts are dangerous and undesirable more often than not, because - usually - they know enough to get themselves into trouble, yet not enough to get themselves out of it (our laptops are very "tinker friendly," if you will).

P.S. That's pretty impressive that you know how to do that with a Li-ion battery, by the way!
