Thanks zeroturbulence, that's a smart move using a simulator! Should of done that, instead I used those ball trainer..

I had a Falcon 3D:

Balancing the blade was a pain. :(

I think I should stick to indoor first. The condition is more stable and predictable. Just need to fight ground effect.

Miss playing with it :( Good times.
Did you try to learn in a 3D helicopter? That's like a first-time student pilot trying to learn in a fighter jet. Here is the rc sim radio that I used to learn with. Its USB, inexpensive and there are a few free rc simulation programs online that you can download which have heli models in them. The radio also comes with a sim program but I heard its not a good program.

Yeah, crazy hey. I managed to fly a few times around but it got caught in a sudden gust of wind. That was the end of that.

I kneed down and grieved. Bad time.

Thanks for the link. :)

Sorry, OP for derailing. :)

Try to catch up to Google's vast mountain of user data? Google is making multiple fortunes off their information.

Some of the hype seems like little more than paranoia. I mean, really, what does it matter if MS knows you went to the BDF and waxed theological? :p

I get the desire for privacy. Really, though, it's the internet; you are connected to the world. How much less private does it get than that?
