Banned again. This time from a war game for "homophobia, racism, and a constant stream of verbal abuse." They're refusing to refund my money too.

I should sue them.

I know the ones we planted, had 0-3 flowers on them. Some had one
flower as big as a saucer, the others had smaller ones. I don't know
alot about sunflowers, as this was the first time.

It's not that bad on harvesting them, use a combine. It takes the
seeds out, and leaves very little trash. You harvest them when they
turn black, you can touch them the wrong way, they fall apart.
I wouldn't want to pick the seeds out, no way. The crows was
the biggest problem, they love sunflower seeds.

The farmer has been on the loosing end of the stick for many years.
It's a dying breed, as we are already getting quite a bit of our food
from else where.

I know in 5-7 years, we are going to be hurting, with our food source.
They are some things that I can't talk about, thats going to really hurt
America, Canada, and the Uk. The US has no reserves in storage, as
for the grains. Clinton, sold off all the reserves, and shut down that
part of the USDA. Can't say any more, may have said to much already.
Folks have forgotten where food is coming from. It is the same story over here. Politicians are actually saying flat out that if they are getting elected they will start importing cheap food from some place else, and shut down farms etc...and folks be cheering cuz that'll give them cheap food. They dont realize that they are losing their food sources...same goes for fishing, hunting...and bears, wolves, etc. are increasing their numbers because nobody aint allowed huntin no more...the forest is a scary place these days...the bears aint scared of folks, and if some of the predators are getting shot, they haul you off to court and you're treated like you're some dang death row candidate...crazy stuff, well...I think we're so rich now we cant afford our own food...

Any advice for newly weds
welcome to the thread :)

i've only been married 35 years, all by God's amazing grace.
things will get rough... expect it. go to Jesus during those times. allow God to carry you through it.
exclude divorce from your vocabulary, as once you allow it to be a possibility it almost becomes an inevitablilty. :(

and this video once a year. <3

oh, and grace. give grace to one another as God has given grace to you.
may He richly bless your marriage :)

OK I have a question: Are we not supposed to live happy lives with the knowledge God and Jesus Christ love, blesses, protects and guides us through this crazy world.
Can someone please explain James 4.8-10 to me?

Well, in addition to all the love mentioned, the bible is clear that God rebukes his children , that he can become "jealous" and angry. I don't know if you are one of them, but I notice most people on here believe in spanking their children. In a similar way, God will sometimes "use the rod" if we get ourselves too tangled up in things of the world. Maybe He does it to get our attention?

the first part of James 4 is speaking of disunity among Christians.
pride promotes strife, and there's a contrast between worldliness and Godliness.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. (v. 8)
we are exhorted against the double mindedness of worldliness and Godliness, i think.

Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. (v. 9)

makes me think of...

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. (Matt 5:4)

But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, the sinner! (Luke 18:13)

earlier in the chapter we're told God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.

Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. (v. 10)

Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted. (Matt 23:12)

the next verses warn us against slander and improperly judging one another.
this chapter is specific instructions for the Church when we are behaving in these manners, IMO.
we are to walk humbly before God and one another.
back in chapter three James begins this thought with this:

Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. (v 13-18)

that's my take on it. :)

If God says we are not to get jealous, then why does He? Isn't he sorta breaking his own commandment? lol..
