Honestly I do, I get tired of arguing with "Christians" who think it's ok to dismiss the OT and concern themselves only with the NT. Their favourite one is that Jesus never said Homosexuality was wrong so it must be ok. I ask them why women can't produce a child without a man being involved and why men can't give birth, I point out that God designed us the way we are because we needed the other. They don't answer that question - ever and go on to talk about hate. How is pointing out the truth in love hate? Their very salvation could depend on it - is it really worth it? I feel weary with constantly repeating myself - HELP! :(
Show them Romans 1:20-32 and tell them that it is talking about them... ;)

People that argue are usually hiding their deep seated fear that is produced by a carnal mind. They disregard the OT because they feel convicted. Through faith, that conviction is revealed by confession and repentance, picking up our "cross daily" and following Jesus, step by step, being conformed into "His image."

I personally don't know why we focus on the gay issue so much. Seems that it's just a symptom like every other sin issue. What difference is there on Gods eyes from smoking cigarettes to being gay?
Woahhh I hate to disagree with the Sirk, I totally respect you,I do :) But there is no difference between smoking and being gay? In the OT being gay meant a death sentence. I dont agree with smoking but that is not the same thing as homosexuality.Homosexuality is a sin against oneself and tears down the very foundation of the family and the sacred union of marriage that God established. Not the same at all.

People don't commit suicide either, unless they choose to. People don't break the law, unless they choose to. LOL

Sin is sin. Don't think there is a sliding scale..

God is changing one or He is not

What I do is to look at the situation. If someone is open and willing to learn and/or change, then I go out of my way to help them understand as best I can - even if this involves debate. However, if someone doesn't appear to want to learn or change, then I bid them a good day and walk away.

The way I see it is this; God will not override our free will. So, if we are to walk with Him, then we are not to override the free will of others. I see this as God leading my example, which He so often does. If someone wants to remain in sin then the only thing I can do is to leave it to God and pray for them.

Arguing with someone who isn't willing to learn or change serves only to waste resources that could be better utilized elsewhere.

I I do the same thing, whatever the subject might be, if they are genuinely open for learning, guidance, evolving I will talk, otherwise I am out

I know what you mean. I get tired of beating a dead horse as well. Share the truth with them and if they refuse to accept the truth, then shake the dust off your shoes and move on. At least a seed has been planted that one day might be watered. :)

Yep, if we say we don't like arguing, well.... we are half of the reason any argument we're in, exists.
