Oldhermit, when was the last time you had your eyes checked?

I have spent hours going through back posts in this thread, from before I started posting in SYM, getting better acquainted with all of you, seeing your pictures of yourselves (that was fun) and generally finding out things I have been clueless about... I am up to four weeks ago and I still have not seen where I started posting... am I really that new here? It somehow does not feel like it...

I don't think children have headaches, they are just carriers.
Now, that isn't completely true. I saw a neurologist when I was about seven and was diagnosed with migraines. Good news though from someone I know, a lot of migraines go away when they hit menopause, but I still have a while before that happens to me. Lol

And thank you all for praying for me

I get that all the time...normally followed by "you are a mystery" or " it is the quiet ones you have to watch out for"
Lol, well, gotta admit I aint getting a lot of that...hmmm...maybe I best keep it shut for a few seconds now:p

lol. That was supposed to be a joke. I understand what it means to suffer with migraines.

It's okay, it might be the meds I took last night that had my judgment off. I know when I got out of urgent care on Monday I said some wild things that I never would admit to without them.

Yes it is, we kept it a secret for the last 5 weeks. Her life will
get better, she can be a child again. I am looking forward to
the day she comes home. I have a lot of things to teach her,
riding the horses, the atvs, the tractors, most of all, to enjoy
life. It has already helped Jim & Marie, they look so much
more relieved.
The moving company is putting the furniture back in the
house this morning. This was my paw-paws house, this
was his furniture, it's over a 100 years old. It has a special
place in my heart.

QUOTEpsychomom;2248813]everyone ll, thank you. it's rainy and comparatively cool :)

how was the visit with April? terrific news about her! will she come home soon?

and how are you feeling?

The rain stopped here mid morning yesterday, sunny, and 94 today.
It's always a blessing to see that child. She is such a joy to be around.

When they put the plate in, she will be placed in advanced care for a few
days. If no problems come up, she goes back to housing . The Dr said, she
will be in the hospital for 3-4 more weeks.

Here's the shocker for everyone, her, Jim & Marie, are moving here to the farm.
We have the bunk house ready, new carpet, paint, cleaned top to bottom. Jim
started working for me about 4 weeks ago, he's a very hard worker. They needed
someone to give them a hand. God put us together at the right time, everything
has worked out. They will be living about a 1/4 of a mile from me, I'll get to see
April daily.[/QUOTE]

This made me cry.......you are a blessing.....Frank....proud to call
you my brother.........God surely knows what He is doing.....
i just love April news.......

Good morning Jesuslives, been a while since you have
been on at the same time as us.
Looks like you and tourist had a great vacation. The hard
part of a vacation, is comming home.
It was go, go, go for 5 days we were actually glad to get home to more normal pace....but then tourists family is coming to dinner tomorrow night so I have been on a de-clutter rampage since our return so his family doesn't think I need to be on an episode of hoarders......lol Honestly I am really not that bad... but cleaning is not my passion....every thing else is.....

Funny story....at least to me.... I had told my daughter who is after me all the time to straighten up and fly right in the de-clutter area....that I had made progress in the dinning room with de-cluttering.....so we get together for dinner one night and she says about your de-clutter in the dinning room not enough.....I'm like what are you talking about there is a marked improvement.... she said have you looked at the floor? She said I thought you said you were done....I'm like where did you get that idea? I said I made a marked improvement I didn't say I was done... I mean I have cleaned off and dusted most of the stuff in there and took the ironing board down with all the stuff on top of it.... Then I stuck out my bottom lip and did the BIG Pout face.....to which my daughter started back peddling and said o.k. I did notice some change....at which I started laughing....

By the time she comes over Saturday she should notice a BIG Difference... oh, yes, there is still clutter but the good news is it is more organized.... as the dinning room is also where I like to sew so there are lots of sewing supplies much more organized than a week ago..... Oh well this fluffy Blond is trying.....tourist and I are the only ones that have to live with it....all others are just visiting and I am still the happy, fun one that most people like to be around..... I am sure some of them want to slap the happy off of me but that won't happen I laugh even when it is not funny.....what else is there? crying.....that's no fun....lol

This was a little break after three loads of wash/laundry is done only one load to dry and most of what I cleaned either goes back in the sitting area or rugs on the floor.....so before it gets nuclear hot outside I best go sweep the courtyard and pull a few weeds to make it look like I cared for a moment...... one of these days I might get my act together.... I warned tourist many times and gave him so many opportunities to run.....he didn't run.... he's stuck with me now.... not sure if he is lucky or not....... I do provide him with hours of entertainment.....

The peach pie is done....and I always forget to do something..... this time it was to cut the slits in the top to let it steam, breathe or whatever a pie does now I have peach juice all over the bottom of the oven and I have to clean that too since I am making pot roast and need to use the oven some more..... May as well have just shot myself in the foot.....this day will never end..... please pray I get all of this done.......with no more additional cleaning work....... yes, I am still laughing....

That is so wonderful that you are able to help them when they need a hand and under such circumstances as their beloved daughter has been under for however long, and that you will have such joy being a mentor to April, teaching her some of life's simpler pleasures at such a young age, something I am sure neither of you nor her parents will ever forget... haha yes, you did keep a very good secret, Frank ;):):):);)

JesusLives (May I call you Darlene, as I am thinking that may be your name?) you sound like a very industrious person, and I can certainly relate to the clutter issues! Three years ago (or was it four ) I got rid of at least three quarters of everything I owned (or maybe I should say it owned me :p) and the freeing up of the space was such a blessing in my apartment
:)

The above kitty no longer walks this world, after 16.5 faithful years...

Living room corner, showing what it was like before de-cluttering.

Here is the same corner, after shot
:)

Big difference Huh? I need to declutter again :(
