Re: Mystery Babylon Revealed To The World Part3

damombomb These videos confirmed some what I already believed but with more additional details, regarding Babylon.
Brilliant documentary.

damombomb from my knowledge, mystery babylon is the US when compared to the description of mystery babylon in the bible

Mystery Babylon is not a country. According to Revelation it is a City. The Bible makes a distinction between a City and a Land
the USA is a Land in Biblical terms. Apart from anything else all the main last days action takes place in the Middle East and there is a warning to get out of Babylon. It makes more sense for people to flee a City than a Country.

Part 2: (near the end of part 2) Nautical miles from the dome of the rock (in Jerusalem) to mecca’s Kaaba is 666 nautical miles.

Part 3, 10:40 mark – 10 arab kings – ruling the 10 arab countries after the division of the Ottoman empire after wwI.

13:30 mark – multi-animal beast. Greece/Turkey-leopard, Iraq (babylon)-lion, Iran (Persia)-bear

This is different from most modern interpretations, which center on Rome and 10 nations in Europe (or 10 regions of the world).

I tend to agree with much of these 3 videos which center on babylon being in the middle-east, and that the anti-christ is closely related to the muslim crescent and star. Mecca in Saudi Arabia is based on the crescent and star, and mecca’s Kaaba stone is 666 nautical miles from the dome of the rock in Jerusalem.

That gets back to my original theory that Jerusalem is babylon, the scarlet-dressed woman sitting on top of the beast. The 10 horns might represent the 10 arab nations that had been divided from the Ottoman empire.

The “seat of satan” was in Pergamos, near Istanbul, Turkey. During the first part of the 1900’s, Germany had excavated the Pergamos statue and brought it to Germany, where they built the Pergamon museum. Coincidentally, Germany became a powerful military country after the Pergamon museum was finished during the 1930’s.

I still think that mystery babylon is Jerusalem, although the antichrist might reign from Turkey (Istanbul), or Mecca, or even Germany.

joni Yes I agree I think the idea that the ten are European nations is less likely. I understand why many people think they are.
I remember the excitement generated when the EU became ten countries but there are now over twice that number .
I believe that Rome foreshadowed the last empire and the Ottomans did include the Eastern part of it. It still remains to be seen whether this theory proves to be true.

My name is john (not joni).

Rome was the head of the western part of the catholic christian church, while the Ottomans were muslims who conquered Constantinople, formerly the head of the Eastern Greek church. I tend to be a Methodist christian which was somewhat removed from the anglican church, which in turn was somewhat removed from the catholic church.

The Hagia Sophia church kind of represented the Eastern Greek church from 450 to 1450, until Constantinople was conquered by the Ottoman Turks, who changed the Hagia Sophia into a muslim mosque and renamed Constantinople to Istanbul. (My name is still John, not joni.)

With Pergamos (location of the seat of satan) near Istanbul and the Hagia Sophia represented in history by both christians and muslims, -- Istanbul might be a candidate for the seat of the antichrist. Istanbul is also next to an important water passageway, the Bosphorus straits that leads from the Black sea eventually to the Mediterranean sea. Russia has considered using the Bosphorus straits as part of their oil pipeline (with oil tankers) to western Europe.

Yes I have saw these videos and they do follow what the studies that I have been lead by the Holy Spirit allude to.

Babylon is not Jerusalem, it is Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

Jews are not going around beheaded other Jews and Christians, it is also a Muslim mourning custom to throw dust on their foreheads, and Mecca means mother.

Another thing is that Revelation 17:16 says the man of sin destroys Babylon and makes her desolate, but when the Lord returns Jerusalem is still standing, it is not destroyed.

The scarlet-dressed woman (mystery babylon), IMO, is different than the antichrist, who might reign from Mecca or Istanbul or Jerusalem. Mystery babylon sits on 7 hills. Jerusalem has 7 hills. The 10 horns might be the muslim nations that surround Jerusalem. Rev. 17:16 --
And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

Even Jesus said: Matthew 23:38,39
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
[SUP]39[/SUP]For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

and Jesus referred to the “abomination of desolation” spoken by Daniel: Matthew 24:14-16 –
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
[SUP]15[/SUP]When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place [somewhere in Jerusalem?], (whoso readeth, let him understand )
[SUP]16[/SUP]Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Something devastating must happen for Jesus to warn those in Judea (where Jerusalem is) to “flee into the mountains.”

The apostle Paul said that only a remnant of Israel would be saved, referring to Isaiah 10:22 – (Romans 9:27-29)
Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:
[SUP]28[/SUP]For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
[SUP]29[/SUP]And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.

So for all the destructive desolation that might come upon Jerusalem, a remnant of Israel will be saved.

As the video said, Mecca is 666 nautical miles from Jerusalem. Istanbul is not very far from Jerusalem either. Rev. 18 might refer to the great mercantile city of Istanbul where there would be important shipping lanes. Jerusalem might not be the seat of the antichrist, but is the scarlet-dressed woman who sits on top of the beast. The main verse that might indicate mystery babylon is Jerusalem is the last verse of Rev. 18 –
[SUP]24[/SUP]And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

Only Jerusalem could have killed the prophets of the old testament. A muslim mahdi might reign from Jerusalem just before Christ returns.

Isaiah 20-
It will never be inhabitited in or lived in from generation to generation, nor will the Arab pitch his tent there, nor will shepards make their flocks lie down there

I dont think Arabs are real common in Israel :p
Also the bible calls mystery babylon the desert by the red sea, a religious city thats the mother of all idols. The Jews are not practicing idolatry, they may not have accepted the Messiah yet, but the bible tells us that they will not accept them until the day of the gentile is fulfilled anyways.

Not to mention that Israel is Gods nation, and He has already promised them they will always be, and that even Christ will reign from Jerusalem when this age is over. I really cant believe that its anywhere in Israel.

But, yeah, I hope every Christian here watches these videos damombomb posted, I once believed in all the "America is mystery Babylon, everything takes place in the west" stuff that we hear about from other American Christians, too :p This yt channel has done a really great job at pointing out that we need to take our eyes off what we can see around us, and to look in the bible for what the prophecy actually says. I am a big fan of whoever it is that does Armageddon News :p

Desolate means inhabited not destroyed, and the A.O.D. that is spoken of by Jesus and refers to Daniel is when a false idol is placed within the temple.

The man of sin will invade Jerusalem and enter into the temple and claim to be God, he does not arise or rule from there during his reign.

The 7 hills that is being mentioned also can not be referred to Jerusalem alone, because Rome and Mecca both have 7 hills also, but only one means mother (Mecca).

Once again all descriptions of Mystery Babylon must fit, and two of those descriptions are the beheading of Jews and Christians and child trafficing. Jews or Jerusalem does neither of those two things !!!

Yes you are right as the bible gives a lot of descriptions for Mystery Babylon that seems to get overlooked to make America, Rome, or Jerusalem fit however none of those 3 fit all the descriptions.

I understand the disagreements. My ideas of Revelation are different from traditional ones.

One thing that worries me about the US, is the deep underground hydraulic fracking (not to mention the deep underground well-drilling in California). The problem might not just be water pollution by the release of methane and other toxic chemicals, but also the deep fracking process might fracture some of the deep underground rifts. The combination of methane pressure and fractured rifts might cause widespread devastation.

Revelation 18:19
And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

Casting dust on their heads is a Muslim morning ritual, why would they do this for California ???
They would if Mecca was destroyed though !!!

This is one of the main reasons that Jerusalem might be the hub of mystery babylon, which might also include Mecca and Istanbul (among others). Use of non-jewish women in prostitution throughout the world by means of underground crime syndicates.

http://henrymakow.com/2015/09/prostitution-the-shameful-jewish-legacy.html

excerpt (around 1900) --
Rooted largely in Eastern and Central Europe where they "dominated the international traffic out of the area," [2] Jews were involved in prostitution rings that networked, ……
Jewish criminals trafficked women under their control virtually anywhere, also including the major cities of Bulgaria, Bosnia, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt, Ceylon, Manchuria, South Africa, Rhodesia, and Mozambique. [ 181]

"By 1900," says Bristow, "Jewish commercial vice was largely incorporated in underworld elements and many of its participants were predators of the poor." [89] Jewish pimps, procurers, and traffickers preyed mostly on non-Jewish women, but even large numbers of Jewish women were part of their stables.

Revelation 12:1,2

Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

This is one of the main reasons that Jerusalem might be the hub of mystery babylon, which might also include Mecca and Istanbul (among others). Use of non-jewish women in prostitution throughout the world by means of underground crime syndicates.
Greetings Jonl,

Neither Jerusalem nor her people Israel are the hub of Mystery Babylon nor Babylon itself. Though there are many scriptural reasons that clearly demonstrate this to be true, I will use one example that kills the whole idea. Regarding the woman who rides the beast, also called Mystery Babylon, Scripture states that God will put it into the heart of the beast and the ten kings to hate her and destroy her with fire (Rev.17:16-17). And the result of that destruction is as follows:

* The music of harpists and musicians, pipers and trumpeters, will never be heard in you again.
* No worker of any trade will ever be found in you again.
* The sound of a millstone will never be heard in you again.
* The light of a lamp will never shine in you again.
* The voice of bridegroom and bride will never be heard in you again.

After the beast and the ten kings destroy her, no one will ever inhabit Mystery Babylon again. Now compare the following Scripture:

"When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them." (Rev.20:7-9)

The first Scripture demonstrates that Mystery Babylon will be destroyed by the beast and the ten kings, so much so that no one will ever inhabit the city again. Then at the end of the millennium, after Satan is released, he goes and gathers Gog and Magog from the four corners of the earth and they surround the "camp of God's people, the city he loves." The city he loves could be none other than the city of God, the city of Jerusalem, which would demonstrated that Jerusalem cannot be Mystery Babylon and that because Mystery Babylon is destroyed before Christ returns to end the age, yet Scripture demonstrates that there will be people inhabiting Jerusalem it at the end of the millennial period.

Jesus said re Jerusalem and their religious/political leaders: Matthew 23:34-38

Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
[SUP]35[/SUP]That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
[SUP]36[/SUP]Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
[SUP]37[/SUP]O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, (see Revelation 18:24) how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
[SUP]38[/SUP]Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. (see Revelation 17:16)
[SUP]39[/SUP]For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

And what does the above have to do with Jerusalem/Israel not being Mystery Babylon? I just proved to you by Scripture that Mystery Babylon is destroyed during that last 3 1/2 years and will never be inhabitable again. Yet Jerusalem is shown to be inhabited during the millennium period.

Mystery Babylon = Destroyed during the last 3 1/2 years. (Rev.17:16)

Mystery Babylon = Never to be inhabited again. (Rev.18:21-23)

Jerusalem = Shown to be inhabited during and at the end of the millennial period (Rev.20:7-9)

Conclusion = That Mystery Babylon is destroyed and never to be inhabited again cannot be the city of Jerusalem which is shown to be in habited at the end of the millennium.

The Scriptures speak for themselves. Furthermore, in fulfillment of prophesy, during the millennium, Jesus will rule in Jerusalem from the throne of king David.
