Let another praise you, and not your own mouth;
a stranger, and not your own lips.

(Proverbs 27:2)

:rolleyes:
You consider it praising yourself by telling someone you are in or out of Christ?

Do you have the curse of sin and death upon your body?
don't you?

have you read:

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin;
but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

(Romans 8:10)

1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts:
and be ready always to give an answer to every man
that asketh you a reason of the hope that is
in you with meekness and fear:

Are you in Christ?

previously addressed.

the reason for my hope:

if we turn our eyes away from Him, we start to sink, just like Peter on the sea.
but if we are faithless, He is faithful -- just as Christ reached out immediately and took hold of Peter, and just as He promised to restore faithless Israel, even though the curse fell upon them -- and so Christ took the curse upon Himself, for Israel's sake, and for ours.

You denied Christ.
no;

i declined to boast that i am found approved by Him.

i will boast however, that God has shown me mercy, having taken the curse upon Himself for the law of sin & death, that same thing told of in Deuteronomy, by sending His son to die for me & offer me the free gift of righteousness that is by faith in Him.

i will boast that He is faithful forever! and His mercy is everlasting!

but "
i am a worm, and not a man" -- i depend on His mercy; not my own vanity.

If some one ask you... are you in Christ ...and you do not reply YES.

You have denied Christ.

if someone explains to you why he says what he says, and you don't listen, you are not listening.

What you said to me on this thread is just excellent to me. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thank you.

Luke 14:

8 “When someone invites you to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for a person more distinguished than you may have been invited.
9 If so, the host who invited both of you will come and say to you, ‘Give this person your seat.’ Then, humiliated, you will have to take the least important place.
10 But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all the other guests.
11
For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

let Christ testify if i am in Him, not my own lips.
i will testify that He came to earth & took on the likeness of sinful flesh, for my sake & for yours, was crucified and rose on the third day, and that His faithfulness endures forever!!

let the one who accuses accuse. there is a Defender of the poor, in heaven, and He is mightier than all that accuse.
