Let's see...MYR against the USD is getting really expensive now! The Malaysian government kicked off GST of 6% (and 0% for raw materials) that gone live in April 2015 bringing up all the prices out there. Some properties were never GST-ed get hit by it as well (yeah, I'm one of the victim and wondering how to fork out that unexpected amount of money to pay the developer who charge progressively). Everything is getting very expensive and out of the blue, our PM's personal account has so much money, that he has yet to explain exactly where the money comes from that cause a lot of demonstration happening in the country. Oh well....worried? I guess, it's "Obladi oblada, life goes on....on....tra la la la la..."
Obladi, Oblada? Ooo, that sounds too eerily familar here in the U.S..:(

Sure. Wisely preparing for the future is wholly scriptural and I support that, of course. Genuine Christian preppers and associated organizations I support.

However, I do not support the fear mongering and idolatry presently expressed among so many in the secular and false religions cult-based prepper movement.

One can trust God wholly and obey His word in wisely preparing for the future without the sickening idolatry, fear mongering, and wild ufo-alien-illuminati-reptilian-conspiracy nonsense that has crept into the secular and false religious cult prepper movement.

I agree with you! It has not become an idol in my life in fact far from it. I am merely preparing little by little.

I believe we are so close to being taken out of here, but I have nothing put aside in case times get bad. I live on such a tight budget that I can barely afford to have any extra on hand. If the ravens can bring meat to Elijah my God will take care of my family and I if it gets that bad.

ISIS is starving Christians to death in Mosul right now and no ravens have been spotted bringing in food. Christians have started to death all over the world since Christ's ascension. In fact, even Christian pastors were forcibly starved to death just last century by state atheistic states.

A proper exegesis of scripture reveals that God is foremost concerned with people seeking Him and His kingdom and not to be diverted from that by worldly pursuits... not that no Christian can ever starve to death or it's sinful to wisely prepare for the future.

Obviously, negligence is never godliness and neither is foolishness. The latter (e.g. foolishness) reminds me of the hardships Harold Camping listeners are reporting they endure after quitting their jobs, selling everything, and donating it to charity in preparation of the rapture. Some are living penniless in parks right now begging for food having lost everything and unable to find employment. Then there is the issue of their dependents because negligence and foolishness hurts those God entrusts.

Your situation is different, of course. We do what we can, being wise in all things, and trust God for the rest. Peace.

The IMF (International Monetary Fund) is going to deal a death blow to the US Dollar soon.
The IMF Threatens to Kill the U.S. Dollar

According to Bloomberg and other sources, the International Monetary Fund is expected to announce a reserve currency alternative to the U.S. dollar on October 20th of this year, which experts say will send hundreds of billions of dollars moving around the world, literally overnight. This announcement is expected to trigger one of the most profound transfers of wealth in our lifetime. Bloomberg reports that this decision comes on the heels of China pushing for their own currency to be elevated to reserve currency status. So if you want to protect your savings & retirement, you better get your money out of U.S. dollar investments and into the one asset class that rises as currencies collapse.
