it's an interesting book, but i have the habit of starting books and stopping in the middle cuz... idk why. by the time i remember to finish the book, i've forgotten everything i've read 
We did a VBS on the Tabernacle a few years ago and it was so amazing... we actually recreated it (in miniature) from the curtain and walls down to every symbolic piece. The kids made each of the items in craft workshops throughout the week. On the last day, we gave tours through it, explaining what it all symbolized. I still remember making the curtains, making the gemstones for Aaron's breastplate... so many amazing memories and knowledge. Somehow, SEEING it like that helped us all retain it. Very cool stuff.
Well, my hobby/passion/interest is music, as I'm a Musician (on the side), so I try to continue writing, developing, practicing, performing, recording, and otherwise crafting music....like such as:

We need a new afghan for our couch. I've seen quillows, a quilt that has a pocket and you can fold the quilt up and fold the pocket back over it and it makes a pillow. I'm starting to crochet an afghan that has a pocket like that. I want to make two or three of them. Plus I'm crocheting sweater vests to go with long sleeve tops. Need something in between a warm weather top and a sweater.
I made a balloon animal yesterday. I accidentally gave it an extremely large rear end. Fortunately, once I was more awake than I was when I made the stegosaurus, I was able to think of a way to twist the balloon's behind section to make the butt be more spiny-things-or-whatever-you-call-those-plates-that-stick-up. Also, the tail is wrong, but oh well.
When the children asked me on Sunday to make dolphins and sharks, they seemed happy with my amateur toys. Maybe partly because I specifically told them that if they could think of a way to twist the balloon beyond what I had done to make it look more like the animal they had requested, I would be happy to do so. Maybe they figured that if they couldn't think of a way to make it more accurate, there must not be one.

i love silhouettes. I even like the way it's spelled. So I make small wood boxes and so on but wanted to do something like marquetry on the top but ended up cutting out the top so it would create a silhouette. But the figures of the silhouette ended up so fragile that if the box were dropped or if something was placed on top, it would break. Even changes in temperature or humidity would crack the wood. But I still wanted the end product - the figure was important, especially the small detail, but I had to figure a way to support the small fragile pieces but still have the figurine. Especially pieces of it that were free floating or wood that had no visible means of support. So I ended up using resins that I could pour in the "negative" or the part of the wood that's removed to stabilize it. But that was problematic because it's a through cut on the wood. There's no real backing to hold the resin in place till it hardened. I tried taping the back and several other fixes but it just never worked. Also, for "free floating" pieces were always impossible. It would mean I would have to place the free floating piece in exactly the right spot while the resin was poured. Sanding or planing was to aggressive on the resin and the smaller pieces would break. It was virtually impossible until God gave me an idea....
And it worked of course. I won't go into it because you're probably already asleep. But it creates a lot of different examples. And actually, Catherder had something to do with this! I liked his stained glass designs and then once he showed a picture of a coffee cup with the steam rising. It was just two or three curvy wires or whatever material but it was outside the realm of stained glass. In other words, it was a square on a pair of roller skates. It changed a motionless dead thing into a living coffee cup.
It's frustrating trying to describe this....this concept of adding life to a thing. Anyway, so I made a box and cut up the lid with a figure and tried my new experiments and didn't get the results I had hoped for. I used "cheap" wood and some resin I had on hand to see how things would work and when i was finished it was washed out looking. I couldn't see the silhouette figures well enough. It didn't show like i thought it would and I couldn't see the detail. Until I looked at it in a different light. I put a little battery led light inside the box and this was what i saw...

Here is my airsoft rifle. Its the most expensive gun I own, but still under $100. I got the clear version so I wouldn't need to put it in a case if I ever take it to an airsoft field. It's actually an accurate replica of a russian light machine gun called the spetsnaz or AK-74U. It even weighs 4 lbs like the real one. It's basically a shortened version of the famous AK-47 assault rifle. It was designed for russian tank crews and other troops that needed a compact weapon (it has a folding stock/handle and shortened barrel).
Its actually pretty powerful and accurate for an airsoft rifle. It shoots up to 375' per second and I can hit a quarter-sized target from 30' away with it. I added a reflex sight (red/greeen dot) and a laser sight to it. It can shoot either semi-automatic or fully-automatic at 600 rounds per second and has a high capacity magazine that can hold almost 400 bbs(!) I use it strictly for target practice (plastic target).

I have to admit though, I am not someone who knows anything about guns.
But now I also understand why airport security makes such a big deal out of any kind of weapon, "real" or not.
