as you would choose it.

I'm sorry, I don't know what that means.

You seemed to imply that God did not rescue his people, I provided some examples. I do apologize that my reply was a bit snarky. Maybe I haven't been up long enough yet.LOL

Is, you don't need to apologize for discussing the pretrib issue because it does need to be debated so we can understand it. It isn't making a thread about the rapture that is the problem it's how ppl tend to debate in a hostile and un Christ like way that makes it a problem. Personally this is a very fascinating subject to me, like say that the pre trib rapture is indeed very biblical and it's obvious the times we are in as we see bible prophecy being fulfilled like a stack of domino's. Then I wonder are to believe that it could happen even today? or is there something in bible prophecy that must occur first? then you have a similar belief called pre wrath which is sort of the same.

In all honesty i Think these subjects need to be discussed more often because it seems no one ever truly understands bible prophecy,as of now I don't have a stand in the matter I used to be a very firm pre rapture believer but I questioned my belief because in order to know if what I believe is true or not I had to try to disprove it however I haven't been able to do so yet but still even though It would be soul crushing to know that I might have to wait even longer to be with Jesus I have to find out for sure

Excapism is not God's way, My grace is sufficient is.
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Jesus' words,not mine

Where in the world would people go? Where is there a place in the world that totally honors God?

The jews, facing the gas chamber fled by the thousands.

Bottom line,be led of the Lord.

If Obama gets his 3rd term (99% likelihood)........it is real close, real, real close.

Thanks Blain, My point in posting on it again was the information that I provided by Thomas Ice about how in 2Thess.2:3 a pre-trib view was in the previous Bibles until the KJV was created. Think I'm gonna get a Geneva Bible (that was the one before the KJV).

You must be reading a different bible than I am. I guess Noah drowned, the children of Israel were destroyed by Pharaoh, Lot and his family suffered destruction in Sodom, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego burned in a furnace, Daniel was eaten by a lion, and Paul and Silas died in prison.

What about all the apostles, except John who suffered the slow boil in oil, who met their end in a somewhat undesirable method?

Not to mention all the thousands that died at the hands of the Roman Empire and then the roman church.

Incorrect. Tertullian's testimony (De praescript, xxxvi) was that John had been thrown into a cauldron of boiling oil before the Porta Latina at Rome; however, without suffering injury. With Eusebius (Church History III.13.1) and others, we are obliged to place the Apostle John's banishment to Patmos in the reign of the Emperor Domitian (81-96). But note that after Domitian's death, the Apostle John returned to Ephesus during the reign of Trajan, and at Ephesus he died about A.D. 100 at a great age of natural causes.

In verse 4 of 2Thess chap.2 it reads 'Who opposes and exalts himself above God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.'

Who is the temple of God now for 2 thousand years? That's right. It is us! The ekklesia. The body of Christ!

The physical temple in Jerusalem is yet to be built. He'll get his chance to mess over the Jews as well. Claiming himself as Messiah.

Paul said that the spirit of antichrist was already at work. Antichrist means to take the place of Christ.

The Head of the ekklesia is and should be Jesus Christ. Diotrephes wanted to be the head, usurping Christs headship. 3John.

Ignatius of Antioch started toying with the clerical concept. A caste of hierarchical leadership contrary to the simplicity of humble eldership.

Constantine declared all of Rome Christian, setting in stone the top down, pyramid authority structure. Martin Luther did not jettison this Babylonian heresy when he broke with the catholic 'church'!

Unto this day the heretical clerical/laity construct is still with us. This is antichrist. Only room at the top for one...Jesus!

Today, because of this misguided thinking, most denominations are throwing in with the Whore of Revelation. The catholic 'church'! The love of money and the love of being 'king of the mountain' by the false single pastor position equals delusion!

Kennith Copeland and the congregation he controls praising and blessing the pope. See video. Does blind guides to the blind come to mind about now? The dumb sheep phenomenon! Scary!

Google the list of apostate 'churches' Bowing the knee to the pope and the World Council of 'Churches'!

Even pentecostals and evangelicals. Tons of TV preachers have for years been hobnobbing with the Whore!

Google the list of your favorite tv wolves following after Rome and receiving money from Rev. Moon organizations.

Then check and see how many of your favorite teachers are 33 degree Masons and know that Lucifer is who they worship and serve!

So now we know how easy it will be for the Beast to arise and set up in the middle of the ekklesia, the body of Christ of which much of it has followed their pied piper leaders to the One World Church.

There is a remnant that sees. They are not a part.

I never said that no one has ever suffered for the name of Christ. Christ said that we would suffer persecution. That however doesn't mean that it's God's way to make his children suffer, especially when he is the one pouring out his wrath. There are more examples than I listed of God delivering his people in times of trouble.

In Matt.24:9 Jesus told His disciples they would be afflicted and killed and in John 16:2 that people will think they "doeth God service" by killing them.
